Shathamanam Bhavathi audio review, Sathamanam Bhavathi music review

Young composer Mickey J Meyer has been constantly producing enjoyable compositions ever since he made a mark for himself with Happy Days in 2007. Some of his recent hit albums include Subramanyam For Sale , Brahmotsavam and A..Aa. His latest soundtrack Shathamanam Bhavathi was unveiled recently and the songs are making good waves in the market. Here is the detailed audio review of the album.

There are 5 songs in the album and Ramajogayya Sastry penned the lyrics.

Song: Mellaga Tellarindoi
Singers: Anurag Kulkarni,Ramya Behara, Mohana

The albums starts off with a fresh and soothing number that has a native feel with meaningful lyrics. The honeyed voices of Anurag and Ramya have been superbly complemented by Mickey’s melodious tune. This song is an instantly likeable one for its impressive lyrics which describe the milieu of a villge. Easily one of the best songs in the album.

Song : Shathamanam Bhavathi
Singers: K.S.Chitra, Vijay Yesudas

We now come across a typical family song, Shathamanam Bhavathi. For this song, Mickey ropes in singing stalwart Chitra and talented singer Vijay Yesudas, who lend splendid vocals throughout. The song has rich lyrics which describe the setting of a traditional marriage and the qualities of a newly married couple. Mickey has given a simple yet effective score for this song which might impress more with the on-screen visuals.

Song : Naalo Neeve
Singers : Sameera Bharadwaj

Next in the queue is a montage number sung beautifully by Sameera Bharadwaj. She infuses an endearing feel to the song with her sweet sounding vocals. Mickey has used the electronic key board to a good extent to produce a foot tapping tune. The lyrics are simple. Heroine-centric songs are a rarity these days, Mickey composed a similar one in Trivikram’s A..Aa, and this song falls into that category.

Song : Nilavade
Singer: SP Balasubramanyam

The fourth song comes as a surprise number in the album. Sung by legendary singer SP Balasubramanyam, who has just completed 5 decades of singing career, this is an emotional and interesting song whose lyrics and tunes are reminiscent of the 80’s and 90’s. It seems like the song plays between Prakash Raj and Jaya Sudha. SPB does complete justice with his flawless vocals and Mickey has rendered the tunes to suit the mood of the song. This song will grow well with the listeners after repeated hearings.

Song : Hailo Hailessare
Singers : Aditya , Rohit, Mohana, Divya

The last song in the album is an energetic festive number Hailo Hailessare. The lyrics define a typical village ambience during Sankranthi festival. The fast paced tune and the energetic vocals end the album on a peppy note. The fun number should appeal more with the colourful visuals on the big screen.

Verdict: A Situational Album

Overall, Mickey J Meyer has given a situational album for Shathamanam Bhavathi. The album has a couple of soothing melodies and a fast paced festive number which are supported by some meaningful lyrics and impressive vocals. Mellaga Tellarindoi and Hailo Hailessare are the best picks and the rest might make an impression after repeated hearings.
