Sri Reddy’s Protest: NHRC serves notices to Telangana Govt

0

With young actress Sri Reddy protesting against Tollywood on the sexual exploitation, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) today served notices to Telangana Government and Information & Broadcasting Ministry asking them to submit a detailed report about the issue. With Sri Reddy accusing several prominent film personalities, NHRC wanted an explanation if these allegations are true.

Movie Artists Association (MAA) refused to accept the membership request of Sri Reddy after she turned half nude before the Film Chamber. NHRC even wanted a committee to address such complaints from the film industry considering Sri Reddy’s protest in mind. NHRC imposed a deadline of four weeks to Telugu Government and Information & Broadcasting Ministry for the report. Sri Reddy alleged that she would leak the names of other celebrities soon with proofs.
