Sunil, who got a disaster movie Ungarala Rambabu recently, had previously committed another movie with a new director Gopi Krishna. The movie would be remake of a Tamil film. Sivalenka Krishna Prasad of Sridevi Movies who produced Gentleman movie with Nani was supposed to produce the movie. He bought the rights of 2014 Tamil hit movie Sathuranga Vettai (which means Chess Hunt) and planned to remake it with Sunil. Actually this movie is also not a comedy movie but a thriller.
But as per the latest report, this movie got shelved before beginning the movie itself, probably due to very bad performance of hero’s last movie Ungarala rambabu. Once a star comedian, Sunil later turned hero and got couple of hits into his kitty when he turned hero initially. But after Poola Rangadu, he neither had a good hit nor good openings. Probably his bad choice of stories is the main reason for all these failures.
We have to wait and see if Sunil comes back to his forte by accepting comedian roles again or he finds another producer to make a film with him as hero.
