BJP has betrayed AP in allocations, says CBN

0

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu visited Nellore district when he addressed a ‘Dharmaporata Deeksha’ to highlight the injustice being done to AP. He once again attacked the Central government, saying that the BJP will not get a single vote in AP in 2019 elections. The people are very angry as the Modi government has betrayed them after making so many promises to them in 2014 election.

CBN asserted that though AP was left with Rs 16,000 crore deficit, the Centre had given just Rs. 3,900 crore. For the capital city also, minimal funds of just Rs. 1,600 crore were given.

Mr. Naidu said that it was during the TDP government that Hyderabad had grown into a global city. The international airport was developed with lots of hard work and commitment at that time. There Outer Ring Road was also developed.

CBN said that for the development of Amaravati capital, PM Modi was blamed by AP people for giving just a jar of water and fistful of soil but didn’t care to give enough funds.

He said that the Modi government is giving lots of funds to other cities but not Amaravati. Very unjustly, Centre had taken back funds sanctioned for assisting in development of backward regions in AP.

Paripoornanda, Jeevitha & Sai Kumar among BJP star campaigners

0

BJP released list of star campaigners for upcoming elections. It is known news that, elections are happening in Chattisgarh , Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Mizoram in addition to Telangana. Now in the wake of elections, all parties are focusing on star campaigners as they attract huge crowds during election campaign.

BJP released the list of star campaigners with around 40 names. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is banking on its star campaigner Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah. But in addition to these top star campaigners, BJP announced the list. Most of the star campaigners are from North but there are some notable names from South India too. From south India, in addition to politicians like BJP Telangana chief Laxman, AP BJP chief Kanna Lakshmi Narayana and Purandareswari there are cinema stars in the list. Names of Jeevitha Rajasekhar and actor Saikumar found in the list. Also in the list is Swamy Paripoornanda who is claiming himself to be Telangana CM candidate from BJP.

On the other hand, Congress is banking on its president Rahul Gandhi and former president Sonia Gandhi for campaigning. In Telangana, Vijaya Shanti is star campaigner for Congress. We will have to wait and see how much these star campaigners will help these political parties.

TRS, BJP and Congress locked in triangular fight in Adilabad segment

0

TRS Minister Jogu Ramanna is facing tough competition from rival BJP and Congress candidates in Adilabad assembly segment this time. In 2014 elections, Ramanna was given a stiff fight by BJP nominee Payal Shankar. This time also, Shankar has got the BJP ticket and raring to challenge Ramanna’s bid to secure a fourth consecutive win in the segment.

Jogu Ramanna has got initial advantage as TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao has allotted him ticket in the first phase itself and because of this Ramannna has already completed several rounds of campaigning in the segment. He had got the opportunity to do door to door electioneering in many localities. Moreover, he is banking on the Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak and other welfare programmes launched by the TRS government. Ramanna tells voters that Rs. 5,000 crore worth developmental works were taken up in the past four and half years in the segment and he would take up more works if given another chance.

On the other hand, BJP candidate Payal Shankar is going into the voters on the strength of his personal activities and by highlighting the BJP achievements at the national level. He is confident that the anti-incumbency winds against TRS government will be an added advantage for him. Shankar is also banking on the split of BC vote bank which would damage the prospects of TRS candidate. All the three main contestants are from BC community which is nearly 90,000 strong in the segment.

Congress nominee Gandrath Sujatha is expecting to win the seat with sympathy wave as she could not get good opportunity despite two decades of political career. She is banking on support from rival Congress groups in the face of anti-KCR wave in opposition.

Why the BJP goes with small party?

0

In a surprising decision, the BJP has announced that it would go along with a newly formed party – Yuva Telangana Party (YTP) – in Assembly polls and political experts are saying that there is a large strategy behind the move of the Amit Shah, the national president of BJP.

YTP, under leadership of National Youth Awardee Mr. Jitta Balakrishna Reddy from Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district, is newly formed party and now is the only alliance party to BJP. Former news presenter, who worked with various Telugu Channels, Ms. Rani Rudrama is the vice president of YTP.

Sources from the BJP said that the party’s high command would utilize YTP for attracting rebels from other parties including TRS and Congress in order to strengthen BJP. “Many leaders from these parties are not showing interest in joining with BJP. The BJP’s high command is planning to join them to the party via YTP. The BJP has already announced its list with 66 candidates and at this moment, alliance with a small party will not show any burden on it as the YTP is binding to few segments like Bhuvanagiri,” the sources added.

The sources said that BJP executive Member Mr. Pradeep Kumar is deputed to gather all the rebels under a roof and to encourage them in joining with either BJP or YTP.

Arrogance led to BJP downfall in Karnataka, says CBN

0

The Bharathiya Janata Party met with a humiliating defeat in Karnataka bye-poll. Even the locally strong mining mafia could not bring victory in Bellary which is till now BJP stronghold.

Referring to this, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu says that it was arrogance and over confidence that caused the downfall of BJP in Karnataka. Nobody should behave like that since it would meet with the anger of people. In fact, the bye-poll results showed that the BJP suffered greater damage compared to the last assembly elections when Congress-JDS allies won Karnataka with comfortable majority.

CBN says that if any party becomes blind with pride, the voters would make sure that their eyes are opened to the ground reality.

TDP has been at war with BJP by giving instructions to party sympathisers in Karnataka to work against the BJP. It was one of the many reasons for the BJP falling short of majority to win last Karnataka assembly election. The presence of large numbers of Telugus in Bangalore has become a disadvantage for the BJP. There’s a feeling among Telugus that the Modi government has not set right injustice done to AP.

TRS, Majlis, BJP have secret deals for Telangana polls?: Muslim League

0

All India Muslim National League general secretary Abdul Ghani has joined hands with the Congress, TDP and other Mahakutami partners. Ghani is a sworn rival of Majlis leaders Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi in Hyderabad city politics.

Ghani has turned friendly to Grand Alliance in order to ensure defeat of Majlis and TRS in next month’s election. He is accusing CM KCR, Majlis Owaisi and BJP of having secret deals in the State to mislead opposition parties. He suspects that BJP leader Amit Shah is not sincere in his criticism of Majlis and TRS.

Swearing support to anti-KCR allies, Ghani has blamed TRS government for deliberately making empty promises to the Muslim minority. There is no commitment to fulfil 12 per cent reservation to Muslims.
Muslim National League leaders are saying that TRS government is extending all facilities and benefits to the BJP leaders. But KCR is not providing enough funds for welfare activities of minority. This is why they have decided to work for defeat of KCR in Telangana. Ghani has visited Gandhi Bhavan and met with Congress observer RC Kuntia to extend his party’s support.

BJP ticket for Muslim girl against Majlis leader Akbaruddin Owaisi

0

In Hyderabad Old City, BJP has come out with a big surprise to take on what it calls a ‘communal Majlis party’ in the elections. The party is fielding a 25-year-old Muslim woman against Majlis leader Akbaruddin Owaisi in Chandrayanagutta assembly constituency.

Seyd Shahjaadi’s name has already been announced for the seat and she has been campaigning hard, saying that she will work for the protection of the rights of women in the segment. She has also raised the issues of Arab sheikhs coming to some areas in the segment and exploiting innocent Muslim women in the name of marriages.

BJP leaders are thinking that there is a pro-BJP mood among Muslim women across the country because of their policy against Triple Talak system. By fielding an educated woman, the party wants to attract women voters in Old City.

0

They are Ale Jitendra for Malakpet, Shahjadi for Chandrayanagutta, Uma Mahendra for Charminar, Roop Raj for Yakutpura and Haneef Ali for Bahadurpura, Yoganand for Serilingampally, M. Kanta Rao for Kukatpally, Ashok Goud for Ibrahimpatnam and Baddam Bal Reddy for Rajendranagar. As there are too many serious contenders, the BJP has decided to hold further discussions on assembly segments which are Secunderabad, Jubilee Hills, Sanathnagar, Nampalli, Qutballapur, Cantonement, Maheswaram and Chevella. BJP cadres are in an upbeat mood after the recent elections meetings of their president Amit Shah who has launched unsparing criticism of KCR, Congress, TDP and MIM.

Akhilesh wants Naidu to unite anti-BJP parties

0

There is greater support for AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to bring together has slowly and lead an anti-BJP BJP Alliance at the centre. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has joined the national leaders who have expressed in favour of Naidu leadership. He called Naidu and urged him to play a proactive role.

Congress, Trinamool Congress and other parties have already favoured formation of a strong front to stop Modi’s bid to win for a second term. Akhilesh became arch enemy of BJP in Uttar Pradesh which is the country’s most sensitive state, politically speaking.

TDP cadres are in an upbeat mood following this increasing support for Naidu at the national level.

Vizag attack a coincidence of ‘Operation Garuda’?

0

Sometime ago, actor-activist Shivaji said that a fake attack would be made on Opposition leader Jagan as part of BJP’s ‘Operation Garuda’ to disturb peace, law and order in AP so as to dislodge the Chandrababu government from power.

As if it is a coincidence, Jagan was indeed attacked at Vizag airport and he escaped with a minor knife injury on his shoulder. The attacker was a fan of Jagan himself which was confirmed by his own brother on video footage doing rounds in social media. The attacker-fan had tied flexis of Jagan along with his brothers in his village during last festival season. On his part, Jagan said such acts of cowardice would not dissuade but further strengthen his resolve to serve the people.

‘Operation Garuda or Operation Dravida’ or whatever it is, this is all reportedly aimed at destabilising non-BJP parties and governments in South India with greater focus on Chandrababu Naidu. PM Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah are being charged with hatching this conspiracy. It is in this context that TDP is repeatedly saying that BJP has got a secret deal with Jagan and Pawan as part of this ‘unholy Operation Garuda’.

At that time, Shivaji said there would be deliberate violence by YCP cadres and Jagan fans all over the state after the attack on him. But today’s incident was obviously a minor one as Jagan suffered a cut on his shoulder and got first aid before shortly going ahead on his journey to Hyderabad. Police also quickly stepped in to clear the doubts surrounding the incident. Information quickly reached people that the attack was made by Jagan’s own fan. The police are also finding out if the attacker is a member of YCP or not in the past.

Meanwhile, Jagan sent a tweet informing people about his wellbeing. He said that he was safe by the grace of God and with the blessings of the people. Such acts of cowardice would never dissuade him but further strengthen his resolve to serve the public, he asserted.

Considering the mood in YCP leaders, they are expected to blow this incident out of proportions for political gains. Not to be left behind, TDP is bringing out all details behind the attack to give a strong counter.

Modi game plan backfires: Rafale scam and CBI probe

0

BJP has received a big blow at national level and the party is all set to face greater embarrassment ahead of 2019 general elections. The Rs. 59,000-crore Rafale jet fighter deal with France has gone out of control. To cover up the multi-crore scam, PM Modi tried to use his ‘Gujarat model’ of using his favourite officers in CBI but this has backfired bitterly leading to loss of prestige of CBI and increased opposition attacks.

With the latest controversies, BJP now carries greater blame for not only mishandling Rafale deal but also damaging the reputation of the prestigious Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). All this happened after CBI Director Alok Verma did not allow Modi’s favourite officer Rakesh Asthana to use his good office as CBI special director to harass CMs and leaders of opposition parties across the country at the behest of BJP. The conflict reached such a point that Alok was almost removed from his post overnight and he approached Supreme Court.

Congress National President Rahul Gandhi says Alok was nearly thrown out of CBI Director post because he tried to investigate the Rafale scam following complaints given by noted advocate Prashant Bhushan and others. Rafale scam and CBI issue are now hanging around the neck of BJP more than Modi. This has become a matter for hot TV debates in Telugu states. TDP leaders are stepping up their attack over Rafale deal and CBI mishandling by Modi government.

TDP is happy that it can now convince people that Modi and BJP are deliberately forcing IT and CBI officials to conduct raids against political opponents in AP.

No help to Srikakulam: Congress blames BJP

0

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has repeatedly asked for immediate central assistance for cyclone-hit Srikakulam district but there has been no positive response from the BJP government at Centre so far. Jana Senani Pawan announced help by creating awareness from his side. He criticised AP government for not sending immediate reports to Centre and he also demanded Centre to release funds.

Now, Congress entered the scene and blamed BJP leadership for not coming to the rescue of cyclone-hit families in Srikakulam. Congress AP incharge Oommen Chandy expressed concern over total indifference of the Centre to travails and woes of AP in such a severe cyclone as Titli. There is no help so far and no Central officials’ team visited damaged areas in Srikakulam, which shows BJP’s negligence, says Chandy.

Accompanied by Congress AP President Raghuveera Reddy, Chandy visited the north coastal areas. Taking serious objection, Chandy has finally demanded national calamity status to Titli cyclone. He has chosen to go soft on ruling TDP which is their ally in Telangana. Congress leaders did not focus much on other parties as their only concern right now was to create a correct political atmosphere to ally with TDP or such like-minded parties.

Another loss of face for BJP in AP

0

The fake charges made by CBI officials against TDP MP CM Ramesh gave a big blow to BJP and Modi leadership as AP people are seething with anger at the new turn of events in the country’s top most investigating agency. TV commentators, general public and analysts term this as a shameful instance which will cause a huge loss of face to BJP ahead of 2019 elections in AP.

It is now clear that CM Ramesh’s name was deliberately dragged into the Moin Khureshi money laundering case by controversial CBI special director Rakesh Asthana. Ramesh was accused of influencing CBI Director Alok Varma to save one Sana Sathish in this case. These are now proved to be false charges.

Right from day one, AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and TDP leaders have blamed Modi for misusing IT and CBI raids to harass the rival leaders in the state. Raids against Minister Narayana were cancelled at the last minute because of media backlash. But later CM Ramesh became a target for BJP which is using CBI as its political tool to harass rival parties.

Naidu has been saying that IT and CBI raids have increased in AP only after TDP broke its ties with the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre. BJP has even got a secret deal with tainted Jaganmohan Reddy who is an accused in several CBI illegal assets cases and who has spent several months in jail already.

Now, the CBI fake case against CM Ramesh exposed how certain anti-TDP forces had recklessly schemed and conspired to implicate ruling party leaders in AP. As this message has gone into the public, a situation may arise in near future when BJP leaders will not dare to face the AP voters for fear of open confrontations.

Delhi CM Aravind Kejriwal has made an interesting comment, saying that BJP is making a far worse misuse of CBI than earlier Congress government to embarrass rival politicians.

BJP’s game plan may have succeeded in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka but it cannot use such tactics in AP. Naidu and his team are always alert and quick to counter threats from BJP.

“Me-too” movement a bad omen for BJP

0

There are several reasons why the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is palpably uneasy about the “Me-too” movement against the sexual harassment of women at the workplace, especially when Minister of State for External Affairs M.J. Akbar is in the line of fire. As a newspaper has noted, several ministers literally ran away when asked about the allegations against Akbar.

There have also been attempts to downplay the complaints both on the grounds of the delay in lodging them, as a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) luminary argued, and as an issue of concern mainly to the urban elite.

One probable explanation for the BJP’s unease is the party’s general unwillingness to be seen as being pushed around.

It doesn’t want to take a decision on, say, the dismissal of the minister as demanded by the Congress and others, including the media, lest it is seen as having been taken under pressure. The party apparently feels that such a step will hurt the party’s macho image.

Another reason for the BJP’s hesitancy in, for instance, asking the minister to cut short his foreign trip is that it is unused to dealing with an issue of private sexual (mis)behaviour. This was the reason why it recused itself from the hearing on the case of gay rights in the Supreme Court, leaving it to the “wisdom of the court” to take a decision on its own.

As at present, there was also similar prolonged silence after the rape and murder of a minor girl in Kathua till a BJP spokesperson accused the opposition of communalising the incident.

The party is usually at its articulate best when it can lambast the opposition for being anti-national as on the Rafale controversy. Or when it can hold forth on the “termites” identified in the National Register of Citizens dealing with illegal immigrants.

Or when it can side with the women devotees of the Sabarimala temple who are against the Supreme Court’s judgment allowing — in its “wisdom” — the entry of women of all ages into the shrine.

But the “Me-too” movement, with its distinctly modern, feminist ambience, is not quite what a party guided by the patriarchal RSS can easily accept. Besides, as BJP MP Udit Raj has pointed out, the complainants are not all “goddesses” who have to be implicitly believed.

What must be of concern to the BJP is the possibility that if the pro-women movement gains ground, it can lead to other path-breaking initiatives such as criminalising marital rape.

Given the sensitive nature of the movement, the party is unable to dismiss it as “manufactured” dissent as it did in the case of those who returned their awards in protest against the government’s functioning.

The involvement of the middle class — the Lutyens’ clique, as the upper class denizens of Delhi’s privileged living space are derisively called by the saffron brotherhood — is another aspect of the scene which will not be to the BJP’s liking.

Considering that the party’s 2014 success was based on the support which it received from the middle class, among others, any sign of their disenchantment will be a cause of worry to the BJP. It goes without saying that the Congress and other opposition parties will lose no time in taking advantage of the BJP’s discomfiture.

At the same time, it is no secret that the misconduct of uncouth men in influential positions is not a new phenomenon. Like the proverbial casting couch in the film industry, such lewd behaviour has long been prevalent in all offices, including the ivory towers of journalism.

The question is why has it taken so long for the delinquency of the adults to be exposed when it was always known. Why were the media barons silent when they must have known how their star scribes were sexually exploiting young interns? It is only now that a few heads have rolled in newspaper offices.

It has taken the uncommon boldness of a few, starting with Tanushree Dutta’s complaint against Nana Patekar, for the dam to burst. The next step will be to see how the law takes its own course since the sexual peccadilloes of powerful men fall in the category of criminal offences.

There are, of course, a few who are already in the dock, such as a former editor of Tehelka. But will the powers that be show as much eagerness to go after the big fish as they do when chasing the alleged financial misdeamenours of political opponents and critical media houses?

For the BJP, the outing of “dirty” secrets by a number of intrepid women has come at an inopportune time. The party was hoping to ride into the forthcoming electoral battles in the five states this winter on the issues of “termites” eroding the country’s demographic scene and the past misdeeds of the “naamdars” or opposition dynasts.

But, suddenly, a group of bold women has queered the pitch for the party.

BJP won’t have tie-ups in Telangana , says Laxman

0

BJP Telangana State President K. Laxman is making every effort to convince the Telangana voters that their party will not have any tie-up with any party in coming December elections.

He has to do this repeatedly because of the continuous, no-holds-barred campaign by rival TDP and Congress leaders who have nearly convinced voters about the so-called secret deal between KCR and BJP which is why the Centre is very friendly and generous to KCR government.

Further reinforcing his statements, Laxman has asserted that BJP will contest all 119 the assembly segments and it will field such strong candidates who will give tough fight to rivals.

On his part, KCR has already announced list of candidates for 105 constituencies already and he is going to release names for remaining 14 segments soon.

There have been rumours that BJP leadership has decided not to field strong candidates from among available aspirants as part of its secret understanding with TRS while TRS will do the same in return.

But during his meetings, Laxman is trying hard to counter this opposition campaign, saying TRS is using wrong methods to threaten BJP aspirants and that BJP will not care about ruling party’s threats.

Laxman has also said TRS and other rivals are scared of Modi and Shah, whose election meetings in coming days will change the final verdict of voters in BJP’s favour in December poll.

Laxman’s anxiety to dispel rumours on secret deal is understandable. Especially, when BJP-TRS deal is such an open secret among peoples of Telugu states.

Triangular fight in Nizamabad Rural

0

Contenders in Nizamabad Rural assembly segment may face a tough fight as there would be a triangular competition. The constituency was called Dichpally earlier and is replaced with ‘Nizamabad Rural’ during 2009 reorganisation of assembly segment consisting of Jakranpally, Dichpally, Dharpally and Sirikonda mandals. About 1.9 lakh voters are existed here of which majority are from Kapu, SC, ST and Mudiraj community. These communities can decide the fate of the candidates.

While congress cadre is swinging with the joining of MLC Mr. Bhupathi Reddy from TRS, who took oath for defeating TRS candidate Dr. Bajireddy Govardhan, the TRS has hopes on its welfare schemes that benefited for the said communities. Though Congress and BJP are yet to announce its candidates, Dr. Bhupathi Reddy and BJP leader Mr. Anand Reddy have begun campaign.

Dr. Bhupathi Reddy started campaign from Malkapur with his sentiment and he has blessings of Senior Leader D.Srinivas who recently left TRS and about to join congress. Mr. Reddy has own strength as he took active part during Telangana Movement and the Congress party has traditional vote bank in rural areas of the segment.

Mr. Anand Reddy from BJP who lost the previous election and stood in 3rd place with 25% of votes is confidence this time as he believes that the voters are seeking an alternative to the ruling party TRS and the opposition party Congress. Though he lost his last election, he has been continuing keeping in touch with the voters and frequently raising his voice against the failures and getting success in passing the welfare schemes by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sources says that all the three leaders have vote bank in the majority of voters from the said communities and experts are saying that there must be a tough fight between the three leaders and expecting the majority for the winning candidate may be in between 1,000 and 3,000.

Anti-BJP rally: Mamata invites Chandrababu

0

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Bennerjee has invited her AP counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu to come and address the mammoth anti-BJP rally to be held in Kolkata on January 19, 2019.

Mamata wrote a letter to AP CM saying that this rally would be a historic moment for all anti-BJP parties to come together and show their united strength for the cause of protecting democratic institutions in the country.

She told Chandrababu that the opposition unity would be a great requirement now as the country’s federal structure, democratic and constitutional institutions were all under threat from the existing dispensation at the Centre.

Stating that the rally would begin at the famous Brigade Parade in Kolkata, Mamata said that all efforts are being made to turn the rally into an ultimate show of strength by anti-BJP parties.

In the wake of recent IT raids in AP, Chandrababu has launched a scathing attack on BJP and spoke of working closely with other parties at the national level like Trinamool Congress and Samajwadi Party.

As 2019 elections are approaching, the rival parties are preparing for a major showdown and a do-or-die battle with BJP.

BJP has secret deals with KCR and Jagan, says Chandrababu

0

AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting of TDP Parliamentary Party meeting in Amaravati capital city here on Saturday evening when he discussed with MPs the need for mobilising support from anti-BJP parties at national level ahead of 2019 elections.

He also discussed about the latest political situation arising out of declaration of early elections in Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh and Mizoram in December this year.

Chandrababu told MPs that BJP was targetting TDP bitterly these days which was why there was a greater need more than ever to gather support from like-minded parties all over the country and rally them against BJP leadership.

He said that BJP had reached secret deals with KCR in Telangana and Jaganmohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh as part of a deep-rooted conspiracy to damage TDP in a systematic manner.

AP CM stressed the need for TDP leaders and cadres to rise to the occasion and do everything that is possible to hit back at BJP.

He pointed out that BJP top leadership was seeking to monopolise political scene in the entire country by conspiring to weaken leaderships of strong, rival parties like Shiv Sena and Akali Dal along with TDP.

Chandrababu told the MPs that because of its persistent anti-people policies, BJP’s image had dipped enormously and its trustworthiness was at its lowest point as of now.

He observed that the general public in AP were strongly believing that Friday’s IT raids were carried out to settle political scores as these raids were comparable to those made in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana.

Chandrababu also blamed BJP for trying hard to link the Vote-for-Note case involving Revanth Reddy with the TDP AP leadership.

BJP begins Operation Garuda in AP?

0

IT raids began on colleges, properties and relatives’ houses of Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana in Andhra Pradesh from Friday morning.

It is not immediately known whether the raids are a continuation of investigation in the Vote for Note case of Revanth Reddy in Telangana in which Rs. 50 lakh cash was seized from TDP leaders at that time.

There are reports that the raids followed suspected TDP leaders’ efforts to mobilise Rs. 500 crore to fund Mahakutami candidates in Telangana elections as alleged by TRS leadership there.

Also, there are indications that IT officials are probing the alleged large scale irregularities in Amaravati capital city lands issues.

TDP leaders say that BJP’s “Operation Garuda” as alleged by actor Shivaji seems to have begun with these raids as already their Telangana leader Revanth Reddy was subjected to political harassment in the past one week.

The IT officials arrived from Chennai and Bangalore also to take part in the raids on Narayana properties in Vijayawada, Guntur, Nellore and also in Hyderabad.

The raids are begun amid reports of misuse of different central departments by the BJP government at the Centre to harass its political opponents in different parts of the country. In the past two years, sensational IT raids were carried out against TDP leader Revanth Reddy in Telangana, AIADMK leader Sasikala in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka Minister DK Shivakumar.

The spotlight has turned on Andhra Pradesh as TDP leaders as already alleging that they have become targets for BJP and IT officials ever since TDP came out of the NDA government and started criticising Narendra Modi government. Minister Narayana is known for his close association with Naidu for several decades and his educational institutions are spread across India with lakhs of students enrolling for intermediate, JEE and NEET courses.

Analysts say there is a chance that the IT raids are being held in the wake of rumours of large scale irregularities in Amaravati capital lands issues. Clear information is not coming from IT officials. Due to lack of information, people are suspecting that

IT officials are stated to have come from Bangalore, Chennai, Vijayawada, Guntur and other places to carry out these raids.

BJP’s image of a constructive political party at national level will get damaged because of these blackmailing politics as is evident from raids on Revanth Reddy. No clear details are available on Revanth Reddy issue as the raids are mostly done closed door.

Similar raids may be conducted in AP as well so that it will scare TDP leaders to some extent ahead of the 2019 elections. Jagan and Pawan have already made allegations of irregularities against Minister Narayana.
