CBN campaign not a reason for TRS victory: KTR

0

TRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) has disagreed with the statement that Chandrababu Naidu’s campaign has helped TRS win in Telangana election. He said it was just a misconceived notion because the people of Telangana had decided a long time before the election to bring TRS to power once again. It is only possible for TRS to get a landslide victory on a pro-incumbency wave.

KTR’s comments came amid several analysts and TRS leaders also saying that the alliance with TDP had damaged the prospects of the Congress party.

KTR said it would not require TRS to go to AP and do politics there since sitting in Hyderabad, one can do that. He asked whether Chandrababu still wants to put up his party candidates in Lok Sabha segments in Telangana. KTR said the Congress party would find it difficult to get good candidates to contest the parliamentary polls now.

KTR asserted they party will win all the 16 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana in the coming election with the people likely to extend greater support than in the recent assembly election. He said it was up to Prof. Kodandaram to decide whether to continue contesting election or not after the disastrous performance in last election.

Overseas biz trips of Telugu CMs: Decks cleared for Naidu’s Davos tour, uncertainty still looms over KCR’s Dubai partnership summit

Hyderabad: Both the chief ministers of Telugu states will be busy this month with their overseas business tours. With the Centre approving the tour plans submitted by Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments. Speculation was rife that N Chandrababu Naidu. Andhra Pradesh chief minister, may not make his Davos trip this year. But, the Union Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has cleared restrictions on Naidu’s Davos tour. On the other hand, Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will be participating in an international partnership summit, which is scheduled during January 6-13 in Dubai. However, the Telangana government is yet to officially confirm the KCR’s trip to Dubai. According to sources, KCR may not attend Dubai partnership summit owing to several factors including full-fledged Cabinet yet to be formed and pre-scheduled one-week tour. With the easing of restrictions, Naidu will address World Economic Forum (WEF) at Davos in Switzerland, during January 20-26, 2019. But, the Centre trimmed his trip to four days from seven and the entourage from 14 to four.

Union Ministry of External Affairs has approved the proposal sent by Telangana government. Government advisor Rajiv Sharma, CM Principal secretary Narsing Rao, IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Municipal Administration Principal secretary Aravind Kumar will accompany the chief minister in Dubai trip. The Centre has already cleared the foreign tours of KCR and Naidu. Naidu regularly attended World Economic Forum held in Davos during the past four years.

GVL fires at CBN’s one seat for BJP comment

0

BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao has broken his silence after a long time. He has taken objection to CM Chandrababu Naidu’s comment on the BJP for getting just one seat in Telangana assembly election. GVL says CBN seems to be very happy over BJP getting only one seat but this actually shows his impatience and lack of confidence with regard to his TDP’s decreased popularity in AP now.

GVL predicts that the TDP will win not more than two seats in the coming AP Assembly election which is evident from how Chandrababu Naidu’s ratings have gone down in recent times. The handing of the Jagan’s Kodi Kathi case to NIA will now bring out the truth behind the attempt to murder attack on none other than the Opposition leader in AP. GVL accuses Naidu of showing signs of frustration at a time when he should be preparing the TDP for the fast approaching general election.

The BJP leaders are taking a critical look at CBN’s approach towards to other political parties. They are unhappy that Naidu has taken a U-Turn and began attacking the Modi government. What is disturbing the BJP leaders most is the fact that Naidu has risen to play a crucial role in projecting the Congress party under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership as the strongest alternative to the Modi-led BJP in coming general election.

CBN’s comments on Jagan part of just a mind game?

Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan and his party leaders have to give lot of explanations on the issue of their party’s likely alliances for coming general election. They were forced to do so particularly after CM Chandrababu Naidu made a comment recently saying what is wrong if the TDP and Jana Sena tied up for the polls. Is this all part of a clever political trick on the part of Naidu to force Jana Sena to explain their stand clearly in front of the people?

Yes, it is part of a mind game being played by CBN which has taken Pawan Kalyan’s party by surprise, said former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar. He says Naidu is such a leader whose political vision cannot be underestimated. But in AP, if the Congress and the TDP formed an alliance, it is for sure the TDP will lose heavily. It would be just like in Telangana, where the Congress would have won over 50 seats had there been no alliance of the Mahakutami.

Arun Kumar’s comments became significant as the ruling and the opposition parties are taking their positions ahead of the fast approaching elections. As of now, it is clear that there will be multi-lateral contests in many segments especially Godavari districts where Jana Sena Party has some strength. Leaders like Arun Kumar are already calculating who will benefit and who will lose in case of Pawan contesting the poll alone.

CM convoy: Heated exchanged between TDP and BJP

0

The Kakinanda visit of AP CM Chandrababu Naidu led to mutual allegations and heated exchanges between the TDP and the BJP leaders in the state. CM went to address to Janmabhoomi- Maa Vooru programme there. When the police prevented the protesting BJP leaders, CBN addressed them with his mike from the bus. Naidu criticised the BJP leaders for trying to defend the anti-AP policies of the Modi government.

Naidu asked the BJP leaders why they were ignoring the interests of their own mother land and why they were not able to bring pressure on their party Central leadership to help AP state. CBN asked whether the AP BJP leaders continue to keep silent on the injustice being done by PM Modi to AP.

The TDP is also bringing pressure on the BJP AP leaders to explain what the Modi government had done for AP rather than criticise Naidu. The TDP leaders say they will not allow the BJP leaders to move in the roads if CM Naidu gave them green signal for the same. The political temperatures are reaching a high point much ahead of the general election as the TDP and the BJP are locked in a fight over special status and other promises in the reorganisation act.

Modi, KCR and Jagan plotting against CBN’s Davos visit

1

The Modi government has refused to give permission to the 7-day visit of AP CM Chandrababu Naidu to World Economic Forum at Davos in Switzerland this month end. Naidu was asked to reduce his visit to four days only and also reduce his team from 15 members to just 5. This has given a big blow to Naidu’s annual effort to highlight AP’s achievement and how it is a favourite investment destination for global players.

Analysts say this is no doubt a big disadvantage to AP state as a whole and this kind of indifference would damage the future prospects of AP people. Instead of encouraging states to look for development opportunities on their own, the Centre has set a bad precedent in this respect. The incident will bring sharp focus on the strained Centre-State relations once again. Naidu has asked his advisors on how to undo the damage being done by the Centre in this respect.

With elections round the corner, Naidu has made big plans to focus AP’s strengths in the world summit and get greater attention from global investors. The denial of permission is now considered a carefully calculated move by Modi, KCR and Jagan to create every hurdle in the path of Naidu till the elections. The TDP leaders say this is yet another example of how the BJP, TRS and YCP are working against the interests of AP people.

Chandrababu hits back over TDP MPs’ suspensions

0

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu made a scathing attack on PM Modi, Telangana CM Chandrasekhara Rao and Oppostion leader Jaganmohan Reddy. These 3 Modis have joined hands to crush Andhra Pradesh and damage the future of its people by refusing funds and support to AP projects. Naidu deplored that the TDP MPs are suspended just because they are fighting for the cause of their state in the Parliament.

Naidu assert that the people of India are strongly in favour of change and there are clearly winds blowing across the country against the National Democratic Alliance parties. There is no way the Modi government could come out of this crisis. After division, there was deficit budget for AP. There was no considerable revenue. But still the Modi government had turned totally indifferent to the needs of AP, he added.

When invited for the foundation stone laying function, Modi brought just soil and a jug of water from Delhi but did not bother to support it financially afterwards, Naidu deplored. On the BJP criticism, Naidu said there was no relevance of how NTR opposed Congress while the present TDP embraced it now. It is the BJP which has denied special status to AP now and this party has done more damage to AP than Congress, CBN said.

What happens if Pawan Kalyan’s party contests alone?

0

Speculation is rife in political circles over the likely impact of Pawan Kalyan’s decision not to tie up with either Jaganmohan Reddy or Chandrababu Naidu. It is yet to be tested to what extent popularity of Pawan among his young fans and Kapu community will translate into votes on the polling day. But surely analysts believe the actor-turned-politician will have such an impact that will change the winning chances of TDP and YSRCP candidates in most segments.

If Pawan contests separately, it is the YCP which is going to suffer heavily as Jaganmohan Reddy will have to depend heavily on the dalit vote bank in coastal AP right from Prakasam district to Srikakulam. But this dalit vote bank belongs traditionally to the Congress party and it is vulnerable due to money and other influences. Already, the dalits have once given their vote to YCP in 2014 to a large extent but BCs, Kapus and Kammas stood solidly behind the TDP.

The TDP is confident that the BCs, Kammas and a section of Kapus are favouring it in the coming election. The party is making every effort to split the dalit vote by attracting dalit leaders to its side. The Congress is also trying to win back dalits but political atmosphere is not its favour at all. With Pawan sticking to his stand, the TDP and YCP may change their electoral strategies and get prepared for political manoeuvrings if the election results throw up a hung assembly.

CBN’s charges and comments are blessings for TRS: KTR

0

Not a day passes without AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders resorting to heated exchanges these days. Now TRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) has targetted CBN, saying AP CM is going on making allegations against KCR and TRS leadership from his office in Amaravati capital city as if there is no other work for him. But we should consider all of Chandrababu’s comments and charges as blessings for our TRS party, KTR told his party leaders.

Rubbishing CBN’s accusations, KTR went on to say his father and CM KCR is a very rare kind of leader who has set a new trend in the country’s politics. This is evident from the landslide victory scored by TRS under the leadership of KCR. In the past, Indira Gandhi, NT Rama Rao and Chandrababu Naidu himself tasted bitter defeats when they went for early polls to test their leadership abilities.

KTR asserted it is a different story in Telangana as KCR provided an outstanding leadership which is evident from how the people gave him a massive victory in 2018 election. This achievement of KCR comes when other leaders bit the dust, leave alone winning early polls. In the coming days, KCR will be making even more efforts to make Telangana as a torch bearer in many things for all other states in the country.

Top officials plotting against CBN govt: Actor Shivaji

0

Controversial activist and actor Shivaji began a political storm by saying nearly 10 per cent of officials were plotting against the Chandrababu Naidu government in AP. His comments relate to the ‘dotted lands’ and also ‘water tank lands’. In the name of these lands, officials including some District Collectors were harassing the public. This is being done as part of a larger conspiracy to tarnish and make CBN unpopular among the people ahead of 2019 election.

Shivaji said in this respect these officials were not even listening to CM Naidu nor the Ministers which is proof of their anti-TDP activities. The actor said these officials were deliberately creating problems for land owners though they knew well that those lands were regularised by the East India Company itself.

Demanding immediate resolution of these issues, Shivaji said he would go on a fast unto death protest if the officials do not act before Sankranti festival. He said there is a bigger conspiracy to provoke farmers to revolt against the government and work for its defeat. Shivaji advised these officials to quit the government service and join the opposition parties which is a better choice considering their mindsets.

Modi fears AP may overtake Gujarat: CBN hits back

0

There was intense competition between Modi and Chandrababu when they were chief ministers of Gujarat and United AP respectively. Now CBN has hit back at Modi’s recent remarks. Naidu says he has put Hyderabad in the world map as an IT hub while Modi has done nothing for Ahmedabad. CBN accused Modi of not giving funds to AP just because he is jealous that AP may overtake Gujarat soon.

Modi has referred to defeat of Mahakutami in Telangana and he said the Congress alliance will meet with the same fate in the country. But CBN reminded PM of the disaster of the BJP in Telangana polls where the party could win just one seat despite the campaigning by a galaxy of national and local leaders of that party.

Naidu appeals to AP people to be very cautious as KCR, Modi and Jaganmohan Reddy are bent upon damaging the prospects of Andhra Pradesh for their selfish political advantage. CBN says it is unfortunate that Jagan is working with KCR despite the fact that the Telangana CM is aiming to further damage AP. Chandrababu said when the TRS won greater number of seats though it had done nothing for the people, the TDP would definitely get ever more seats because of its better performance in AP. The coming election in AP will teach a big lesson to KCR, say TDP leaders.

KCR contesting AP polls will benefit CBN: Kodandaram

0

Telangana Jana Samithi leader Prof. Kodandaram says the Mahakutami’s defeat in Telangana elections is mainly because of too much delay in announcement of its agenda. Now that CM K Chandrasekhara Rao may guide his party to contest in AP polls, Kodandaram says it will only benefit TDP leader and CM Chandrababu Naidu.

Kodandaram is unhappy that the Congress and the TDP leaders did not listen to his words for an early announcement of Mahakutami agenda prior to polls. It left just 20 days for the allies to go to the people with their agenda but the Professor feels there should be a minimum of 50 days to convince the voters about their agenda. However, the Congress leaders told him at that time there was positive voters’ mood for their alliance and the agenda issues would not require so much attention.

With regard to KCR Federal Front, Kodandaram says there is no scope for this experiment in national politics as of now and it would be better to speak less about this. He comments sarcastically that only KCR would know to whom exactly that the Federal Front benefits would go. His comments are significant as the TDP leaders are already saying KCR front is aimed at benefitting the BJP-led NDA coalition in Delhi. TDP has criticised that KCR is aiming to split anti-BJP vote by luring some regional parties and hurt the Congress.

Industries coming with our own efforts: CBN

0

Every since the TDP broke away from the BJP-led NDA government in March 2018, the Modi government has not given any incentives for setting up industries in AP. Still, AP is able to attract lot of industrialists both domestic and internationally renowned corporates. CM Chandrababu Naidu says his government’s own efforts and his past experience are behind the continued investments flowing into the state.

Naidu released a white paper when he said AP would have seen greater industrial development if the Modi government gave required and promised support to it. He expressed bitterness that the much promised IT tower in Visakhapatnam has not materialised so far while no funds were released to take forward the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor that passes through most towns and cities in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

CBN also lashed at the BJP saying there was no progress in the National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) promised for Kanigiri in Prakasam district of AP. This would now be taken up by the AP government itself. Also, the much neglected Petro Chemical Corridor would be taken up by the state government to boost industrial development and job creation in the region.

TDP Telangana MLA fires at KCR: Anti-CBN rant

0

Mecha Nageswara Rao is one of the two MLAs that the Telugu Desam Party has won in Telangana recent polls. He represents Aswaraopeta segment in Khammam district. Most of the party seniors are still in a state of shock over the poll disaster. On the other hand, KCR is continuing his war of words especially to personally damage Chandrababu Naidu.

Angry over KCR’s rantings against CBN recently, MLA Nageswara Rao called a special media conference in his native segment and launched a blistering attack on KCR. He advised the TRS chief to stop his cheap tactics and unacceptable language. He also pointed out that KCR should realise before making such unparliamentary remarks that he was commenting on the chief minister of the neighbouring state.

Nageswara Rao also accused KCR of resorting to bankrupt politics without any respect for decency and decorum which is necessary to set an example for the people in public life. The TDP MLA tells KCR to learn to make criticism of rival leaders with a purpose and meaning rather than with a grudge and personal prejudice. He also took objection to KCR passing comments on the language capabilities of CBN but these are not what people look at in a leader but credibility, competency and talent.

CBN dares KCR, Modi and Jagan to contest jointly

0

AP CM and TDP National President N. Chandrababu Naidu has welcomed CM Chandrasekhara Rao to come to AP and contest elections jointly with the BJP and Jaganmohan Reddy. Where is the need for hiding behind fake cover-ups when you can unitedly enter the elections? Naidu asked his rivals.

In an elaborate reply, Naidu said Jagan is nothing but a junior Modi while KCR is a middle level Modi. Apparently, senior one is PM Modi himself. Of course, this will not happen under any circumstances considering prevailing anti-Modi sentiment all over the state cutting across all sections people. The TDP leaders say Modi and his friends are attacking Chandrababu just because AP CM has questioned the injustice done to his state.

Naidu has also found fault with KCR for not coming forward to cooperate with Andhra Pradesh to sort out various issues pending since the separate state formation. He asked KCR to go ahead and write a letter to the Centre recommending special status for AP. On the late Harikrishna comments, Naidu asked KCR what exactly he had done to take political advantage out of the NTR son’s death.

KCR behind Viceroy Hotel coup against NTR?

0

In 1995, TDP MLAs led by N. Chandrababu Naidu revolted against the then chief minister N.T. Rama Rao whose government was toppled then. All this happened with MLAs camping at Hotel Viceroy in Hyderabad at that time. It was since then called the Viceroy Hotel coup that opened a new chapter in the TDP’s onward march in AP politics.

In his recent attack, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhara Rao has accused Chandrababu of cheating and snatching power from the hands of his own father-in-law NTR and that was characteristic of CBN. KCR said this to highlight that his coming to power was different as led the struggle with confidence and conviction which led to formation of separate Telangana state. But KCR forgot what role he played in the coup against NTR.

In a strong counter allegation, Chandrababu asked whether KCR did not play a major role in replacing NTR or not. Naidu said it was not correct on the part of KCR now to make false allegations against him. Chandrasekhara Rao was very much a leader of the Telugu Desam Party at that time and he supported the leadership of CBN in the transition of power. CBN also asked it was the same KCR who had later served as a minister in his cabinet. Just like many MLAs at that time, KCR has also supported Naidu and all that was obviously to prevent Lakshmi Parvathi from rising to a position second only to NTR.

Will CBN give Nandamuri Suhasini MLC and Ministry, as asked by KCR

0

Even though Telangana elections are over, war of words between KCR and TDP leaders still continuing. Yesterday, KCR spoke to media and reiterated his earlier comments about giving return gift to CBN. He also spoke about CBN’s opportunism and asked whether Chandra Babu Naidu will give any post to Nandamuri Suhasini now.

It is known news that TDP fielded Nandamuri Suhasini from Kukatpally constituency. Pro TDP media analyzed it as master stroke from CBN. MAHAA news chief editor I. Venkat Rao told in a debate that because of Nandamuri Suhasini contesting, TDP got a big boost in at least 4 to 6 constituencies. However, all that turned out to be just hype and Suhasini was defeated and TRS candidate got around 40 thousand votes majority.

During elections itself KTR commented that, if CBN really has concern for Hari Krishna family, he should make her MLC without elections and give ministry like he did to his son Lokesh. Now KCR also questioning the same and asking what post CBN will give to Nandamuri Suhasini.

We have to wait and see if CBN really cares all these allegations and give some prominent position to Suhasini or not.

KCR speaking out of frustration: CBN

0

In a strong counter to KCR’s allegations, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu spoke on why the Telangana chief minister has lost his patience and he is speaking totally out of frustration. Chandrasekhara Rao has made a much publicised tour to Odisha, West Bengal and Delhi recently but nothing came out of it which has become a matter of prestige for the TRS chief.

CBN explained that KCR badly missed one point which is the clear polarisation of political parties as pro and anti-BJP groups in the entire country now. While this is the ground situation, KCR has blindly gone ahead with his faulty strategy to create and promote the third front in the name of Federal Front that will work against both the BJP and the Congress. This kind of a political arrangement will not work as the national politics is becoming bipolar.

What can I do when KCR has drawn no response from his visits to other states? asked CBN. Ever since KCR used strong language against Naidu, the TDP leaders down the level launched severe criticism with some of the launching personal attacks on the TRS chief. Naidu said KCR and the BJP leaders appeared to be suffering from jealousy as their plans to disrupt Amaravati Capital City has failed while the TDP government is getting a very good name among the voters.

Why KCR made bitterest attack ever on CBN?

11

Political circles in Telugu States were stunned at Telangana CM K Chandrasekhara Rao’s bitterest attack ever on AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. Even the TDP leaders are surprised at this sudden outburst and they are busy finding out the actual strategy behind KCR’s more aggressive stand against CBN.

There are doubts whether KCR has already started his campaign war against Naidu for the 2019 elections which are just four to five months away. Again and again, KCR is saying he will give return gift to Naidu by playing his role in AP elections. Going by his latest attack, analysts say KCR is going to target Naidu more in coming days in order to help Opposition parties in AP get an edge in AP elections.

As of now, the Opposition parties including the BJP are unable to counter the ruling TDP on injustice to AP. Jagan and Pawan Kalyan are not able to effectively attack Naidu with regard to failures of the TDP government. They are also not able to take advantage of any anti-incumbency factor. KCR’s speeches may be aimed at maligning Naidu’s image and to weaken the TDP ahead of elections. KCR is also targetting Naidu at a personal, saying the latter is a dirty politician and not a true leader but just a manager.

Talasani satires on NBK and CBN

0

Talasani Srinivas Yadav, former minister of Telangana, made sarcastic comments on AP MLA and hero Bala Krishna. It is known news that Bala Krishna campaigned during Telangana elections but his campaigning did not yield any results. In fact the way he spoke Sare Jahaase achcha song was trolled a lot on social media.

Now Talasani gave a statement that wherever Bala Krishna campaigned, TDP lost in all those places and he reminded that TRS told the same even before elections. He told Bala Krishna’s statements are only to generate laughs and people never vote based on what Balayya speaks. He also responded on CBN’s comments that he only developed Hyderabad and questioned, if he is that capable, why he could not develop Amaravati in last 4 years.

Even though Telangana elections are over, war of words between TRS and TDP is still continuing. We will have to wait and see how TDP leaders respond on this.
