Deets on Acharya releasing on February 4, 2022

Acharya is one of the much awaited films of this season since it features ‘Megastar’ Chiranjeevi and ‘Mega Power Star’ Ram Charan in the lead. With its shoot getting completed long back, the film’s dubbing works are over now.

A press note from the film’s makers said that the project is currently under post-production stage to catch up the release deadline of February 4, 2022. Acharya will have a grand release across the world on that date, it added.

Acharya, written and directed by Koratala Siva, is produced by Niranjan Reddy on Matinee Entertainment and Konidela Production Company banner. Smt Surekha Konidela is presenting the film.

Kajal Aggarwal, and Pooja Hegde are the leading ladies of Acharya, while the film has musical score by Mani Sharma. Cinematography and editing are taken care of by Tirru and Naveen Nooli, respectively.

While Venky Kudumula had earlier given us blockbusters like Chalo and Bheeshma, DVV Danayya is one of the leading producers and his upcoming project is RRR directed by S S Rajamouli.

Interestingly, Venky Kudumula had always maintained that he is a huge fan of Chiranjeevi. He is now said to be on cloud nine about directing him.

Dr Madhavi Raju will co-produce the film. More details about the project, which is set to hit the floors soon, will be revealed in coming days. Currently, Chiranjeevi is busy with Acharya and Godfather.

Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi, who is awaiting the release of his upcoming movie ‘Acharya’, has a packed line-up. His upcoming movies include a venture directed by Bobby in which he plays a cop.

Sources reveal interesting details related to this project.

Marking his 154th film, Chiranjeevi is to act under the direction of K.S. Ravindra(Bobby), in which he will play a cop, who is on a mission to stop the alarming crime situation in a coastal town. Reports also suggest that ‘Waltair Veerayya’ is one of the titles considered for this project.

The movie’s story would be in a Sri Lankan backdrop, while Chiranjeevi is to be seen in a transformed look. ‘Waltair Veerayya’ (tentative title) is to feature another popular actor Ravi Teja in a crucial cameo.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, this movie is to have Devi Sri Prasad composing the music, while the cinematography is handled by Arthur A. Wilson.

Apart from this film, Chiranjeevi has been roped in for ‘Bholaa Shankar’ and ‘Godfather’, which are being directed by Meher Ramesh and Jayam Mohan Raja, respectively.

Megastar commences the shoot of his 154th Film

Megastar Chiranjeevi signed a mass entertainer in the direction of Bobby and the film was launched with a pooja ceremony last month. The regular shoot of the film commenced today in Hyderabad. The film is tentatively titled Waltair Veerraju and an official announcement will be made soon. A lavish schedule of the film will be completed this month and Megastar will then shift his focus towards God Father. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music, background score for Waltair Veerraju and Mythri Movie Makers are the producers.

The film is aimed for Dasara 2022 release and the leading lady’s name is yet to be announced. Chiranjeevi completed the shoot of Acharya and he has been juggling between the sets of God Father and Bhola Shankar. He is in plans to release four films within a gap of a year.

Megastar Chiranjeevi has said he had hoped for advanced treatment for noted Telugu lyricist and poet Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry who passed away on Tuesday due to lung cancer at the age of 66.

Chiranjeevi, who has very closely worked with Sastry on many movies, was there at the hospital on the day of his death, as the body of the late lyricist was handed over to his family.

Speaking to the media, Chiranjeevi expressed his shock.

“Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry’s loss is personal. He called me up even before he was about to leave for the hospital on November 24. We spoke for about 20 minutes. He assured me that he would come back from the hospital soon. As we spoke about the treatment, we both had decided to get him treated in Chennai after he recovers a bit. But my friend never came back,” a teary-eyed Chiranjeevi said.

“A person who was full of confidence that he would return to get better treatment, a person who was all well, except that he had uneasiness, a person who spoke to me for such a long time, is no more. How can anyone leave so abruptly?” Chiranjeevi said.

Chiranjeevi’s statement on his Twitter timeline conveys, “Today is a dark day for literature.”

Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry’s final rites were conducted at his residence, as hundreds of his fans and celebrities mourn the death of the legendary writer.

Megastar plans four releases in a year

Chiranjeevi is keen to lock the release dates and announce them at the earliest. The shoot of God Father is expected to be completed by January before Chiranjeevi heads for the promotions of Acharya. Megastar also is in talks to sign a new bunch of films. He signed a film in the direction of Venky Kudumula and the film will be bankrolled by DVV Entertainment. Like never before in the recent years, Megastar is planning four releases in a year.

Chiranjeevi’s offers financial help for Sivasankar Master’s Covid treatment

National Award-winning choreographer Sivasankar Master is fighting Covid-19. The dance master is currently hospitalised and it is reported that 75 per cent of his lungs are infected.

Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi, who came to know about Sivasankar Master’s condition, has reportedly extended financial help to Sivasankar’s younger son Ajay. Ajay, who reached Chiranjeevi’s residence, received a cheque for Rs 3 lakh for Sivasankar’s treatment.

Chiranjeevi also assured Ajay that Sivasankar will always have his support. Chiranjeevi also promised Ajay that the whole film industry is always there to support them.

Chiranjeevi has worked with Sivasankar on multiple occasions for some hit songs. Now that Sivasankar is fighting for his life, Chiranjeevi also conveyed that he hopes that he recovers well.

The ace choreographer’s current condition is critical and he is undergoing treatment at in Hyderabad.

Earlier, his son Ajay had sought help on social media platforms, as the treatment costs at least Rs 1 lakh per day. Actors like Dhanush and Sonu Sood also came forward to extend financial help to the senior choreographer.

Telugu Megastar Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan are set to appear on the screen together for the first time in the upcoming film ‘Acharya’, which will be releasing on a digital platform on February 4, 2022.

It is reported that the movie ‘Acharya’ has locked its OTT streaming partner. Amazon Prime Video has bagged the post-theatrical digital streaming rights of the Koratala Siva directorial.

The makers are eyeing to release of the movie on OTT after a couple of weeks of its theatrical release.

‘Acharya’ is in the final leg of production and the makers will soon wrap it up before they kick-start the promotions.

The film is tipped to be a commercial drama with a streak of a revolutionary theme. Chiranjeevi plays the lead, while Kajal Agarwal plays his partner in the movie. Ram is to appear as ‘Siddha’, while actress Pooja Hegde plays his love in the film.

The makers have announced the release of a teaser based on Ram Charan’s role ‘Siddha’ from the movie, on November 28.

A couple of songs from the movie were released earlier, garnering praises for the music director Mani Sharma.

Chiranjeevi appeals to AP CM to hike movie ticket prices

In the wake of the Andhra Pradesh government’s decision to introduce an online movie ticketing system, Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi has appealed to Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to consider hiking ticket prices in the interest of filmmakers.

Andhra Pradesh State Assembly on Wednesday passed the AP Cinemas (Regulation) (Amendment) Bill 2021, paving the way for an online movie ticketing system to be administered by the state government. The government said the regulation of cinema ticket pricing would help to check exploitation of moviegoers.

This decision by the AP government was not well-received by the biggies of the industry. Chiranjeevi, on Thursday took to his social media to make an appeal to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister.

In the note, he first appreciates the idea of an online ticketing system, as it improves the transparency for the moviegoers in the state. On the other hand, Chiranjeevi appeals to consider the ticket prices, based on the ticket prices in the other states.

In his note, Chiranjeevi made it clear that the ticket prices by the state government are not in the favour of the moviemakers who invest everything in the movies. “Please consider hiking the prices of the tickets, otherwise, this might become a threat to the investors and the moviemakers,” Chiranjeevi said.

Chiranjeevi had earlier tried to discuss the issue ever since the government revised the ticket prices. He is also the first star from the industry who has openly appealed to the government of Andhra Pradesh to make necessary changes in the Bill passed in the state Assembly.

Prabhas too is gearing up for multiple releases and he completed the shoot of Adipurush in 60 days. He is now focused on Salaar and he allocated three months for the project.

Mahesh Babu will team up with Trivikram and the duo is in plans to complete the shoot without major breaks and go ahead with other projects. NTR and Koratala Siva’s film too will be wrapped up in a quick time. Ram Charan is heading for the shoot of Gowtam Tinnanuri’s project along with Shankar”s film. Both these projects will be completed by 2022. Tollywood actors changed their mood and are keen to complete their films in quick succession and they are charging a bomb for their projects.
