KCR announces free corona vaccine for all in Telangana

1

Telangana Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao has decided to administer vaccination to entire population in the state irrespective of age limit free of cost.

He said that in Telangana in addition to state own population, including those who came from different states and working in different sectors, there are about 4 crores of population and among them 35 lakhs have already been vaccinated. The rest would be vaccinated free of cost said the CM.

The CM said it would cost more than Rs 2500 crores to vaccinate everyone, and taking in to consideration the importance of lives of people, this amount is worth spending. KCR issued instructions to this effect to the Chief Secretary of the state and officers of Medical and Health department. Accordingly, CM instructed that necessary steps to be initiated to administer vaccination to all.

CM further said that already Bharath Biotech is producing vaccine and in addition to it several institutions including Reddy Labs are coming forward to produce vaccine and hence there will be no dearth for vaccination. In a couple of days after undergoing necessary medical tests and after completely recovering he would hold a high-level review meeting with concerned officials and follow it with personal monitoring of vaccination program said the Chief Minister.

In addition to vaccination program, said the CM, that necessary steps would be taken to see that there is no shortage of Remdesivir as well as other medicines required for corona and also oxygen. CM assured that the Government would go all out to protect people from corona and there is no need to become panicky.

KCR wishes Justice Ramana

1

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao has extended his warm greetings to the newly sworn-in Chief Justice of India Justice NV Ramana. KCR has given his best wishes to the 48th CJI. He said Justice Ramana’s long experience in jurisprudence would be of great help to the country. KCR has further expressed his strong feeling that Justice Ramana’s term would continue in a wonderful, glowing manner.

It is well known that KCR’s political strategies would go beyond all calculations by experts and observers. The Telangana CM has long been like an elder brother and well wisher of AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy. It is no secret that the AP CM has no good relations with the new CJI.

Though a Telugu judge became the CJI, the AP Chief Minister or his office could not come out openly to extend their wishes till now. Even the YCP MPs including Vijay Sai Reddy did not utter a single word of praise for Justice Ramana so far. There are enough indications that the cold war between the CJI and the AP CM would continue till the end of his term next year.

Doubtless to say, more fireworks are expected in the coming days. Any adverse order from the CBI court against the AP CM is sure to trigger angry comments against the CJI from some sections of social media.

Despite corona, KCR wants to go ahead with municipal polls!

0

The corona cases in Telangana are increasing at a rapid pace.

Corona cases on Wednesday (today) hit a new peak of over 6,000 cases.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao himself is in home isolation at his farmhouse after he was tested positive for coronavirus two days ago.

Under these conditions, KCR has decided to go ahead with municipal elections on April 30 as scheduled.

The elections for Khammam, Warangal municipal corporations, and Siddipet, Jadcherla, Nakrekal, Achampet and Kothur are being held on April 30.

With increasing corona cases, the State Election Commission (SEC) has written to Telangana government to tell its opinion on whether to conduct elections as scheduled as postpone them.

But KCR reportedly told SEC to conduct elections as scheduled.

Opposition parties on the other hand are demanding postponement of elections and criticising KCR for giving prominence to elections over the lives of people.

But KCR seems to be in no mood to postpone the elections.

KCR to avoid Jagan, meet Yediyurappa!

1

Telangana CM KCR and AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy exhibited a lot of bonhomie in the initial days of Jagan becoming CM of AP in May 2019.

They used to meet occasionally. In fact, Jagan visited Pragathi Bhavan thrice in Hyderabad to meet KCR.

KCR also visited AP twice to meet Jagan. The first was to attend Jagan’s swearing-in-ceremony in Vijayawada and later visited Jagan’s Tadepalli residence to invite him for Kaleshwaram project inauguration.

KCR, Jagan last met at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad in January 2021.

There was no meeting between them later as differences cropped up between them over sharing of Krishna and Godavari water.

Jagan’s decision to construct Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme by diverting Srisailam water on river Krishna angered KCR. Later both the CM’s lodged complaints against each other with the Centre over taking up ‘illegal projects’ on river Krishna and Godavari.

KCR has now decided to meet Karnataka CM Yediyurappa soon to resolve disputes pertaining to Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme (RDS).

RDS pertains to three states, namely Karnataka, Telangana and AP.

But KCR reportedly decided to meet only Yediyurappa and avoid Jagan.

RDS is located on Tungabhadra river and spread in Gadwal district of Telangana, Kurnool district in AP and Raichur district in Karnataka.

TS is not getting the allocated 16TMC of water in RDS.

KCR is angry at Jagan for recently launching works without any approvals for digging a parallel canal at RDS to draw additional water.

KCR now wants to meet Yediyurappa and seek his support to stop Jagan’s plan to dig a parallel canal.

KCR to sack Minister Malla Reddy from cabinet!

1

Speculations are rife in TRS circles that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is most likely to sack labour minister Ch Malla Reddy from his cabinet anytime after the Nagarjunasagar bypoll.

Malla Reddy has become a headache for CM KCR as well as TRS as he is frequently getting caught in ‘audio leak’ incidents where Malla Reddy is seen threatening builders, realtors demanding money to develop ventures in his Medchal-Malkajgiri district. He is also facing charges of land encroachments in Medchal.

He was also caught demanding Rs 50 lakh to give TRS ticket to a candidate during municipal polls in 2019.

Latest, the audio of Malla Reddy demanding money from a realtor has gone viral on social media platforms.

KCR is reportedly very angry at Malla Reddy, who owns a chain of engineering, medical and other colleges in Medchal, for bringing bad name to TRS and his government with his extortion acts.

KCR has reportedly denied appointment for Malla Reddy to meet him though he is trying to meet CM eversince audio tape was leaked on March 6.

Malla Reddy wants to give explanation and seek apologies but CM is denying appointment.

This fuelled speculations that KCR will sack Malla Reddy from the cabinet anytime after Nagarjunasagar Assembly bypoll on April 17.

Telangana releases Godavari water into Manjeera

2

Telangana on Tuesday reached a key milestone in the journey to achieve the goal of irrigating one crore acres of land with the water from Godavari river joining the Manjeera river.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who drew and implemented the plan to irrigate one crore acres, released water from Kondapochamma Sagar reservoir into Haldi Vaagu. The water will join Manjeera River to finally end up in the Nizam Sagar project.

KCR, as Rao is popularly known, also released water from Kondapochamma Sagar into the Gajwel Canal to fill up 20 tanks in Siddipet district.

The two events marked the completion of a key component of the ambitious Kaleswaram project which has transformed irrigation in Telangana during last six years.

Water from Kaleswaram had already reached Mid Maner from Medigadda and flown into the Kondapochamma Sagar.

KCR reached Avusulapally in Vargal mandal in Siddipet district by a special bus and offered special pooja to Kaleswaram waters. He released water from the Konda Pochamma reservoir. The water from Sangareddy canal, through Haldi Vaagu, will reach the Nizam Sagar.

According to officials, it would take 10 days for the water to reach the Nizam Sagar project. The water will keep Haldi Vagu and Manjeera flowing even during mid-summer.

Later, the Chief Minister reached Pamulaparthy village in Markuk mandal, offered special Pooja and released Kaleswaram waters into Gajwel Canal. These waters will fill up 20 tanks such as Pamulaparthy, Pathuru, Chebarthi, Pragnapur, Gajwel, Kesaram, Bayyaram, Jaliyama etc.

The two works launched by the Chief Minister will ensure availability of water for irrigation during summer. Officials said several tanks in Siddipet and Medak districts will be filled with water, providing irrigation facility to 14,000 acres.

Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Finance Minister Harish Rao, Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy, MPs, MLAs and senior officials attended the programmes.

Bandi Sanjay plea for cleaning KCR’s mouth rather than Musi

0

Ever since Bandi Sanjay became the BJP Telangana President, he has been giving nightmares to the TRS and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao. Not a day passes without Sanjay making biting attacks on the KCR regime on one issue or another. Now, Sanjay targetted KCR’s public meeting and his all out efforts to outshine PM Modi’s visit to Hyderabad.
Bandi Sanjay strongly hit back at KCR’s statements that the Central Government was not doing anything for Bangaru Telangana and that the BJP was afraid of the TRS going to play a crucial role in the national politics. Saying that the TRS is no match for the BJP, Bandi Sanjay said that what should be done in Hyderabad immediately must be to clean the unclean mouth of KCR but not the polluted Musi river. Not a day is passing without KCR and KTR telling one lie or another on the State development.
Bandi Sanjay termed KCR’s election campaign as a flop show. The TRS Government just watched the floods in the twin cities like a silent spectator without coming to the rescue of the residents. It is unfortunate that without doing anything for the people, KCR and the TRS are once again trying to betray the voters. The BJP is the only saviour as it has controlled terrorists and extremists in over 18 States. Hyderabad would be no exception. The BJP would come to power and bring order in the city.

Protect Ganga Jamuna tehzeeb, let us live like a bouquet of flowers: KCR

3

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao if Hyderabad’s ‘Ganga Jamuna tehzeeb’ be protected, it can happen only through the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and appealed to the voters to keep communal forces at bay for the larger interest of the city’s growth and development.
Addressing a massive public turnout at L B Stadium, Chief Miniter listed out the achievements of his government in the last six years, especially on the power and water front. “We have solved the power problem in the state. We have been giving power supply 24/7 without any power outages. This is the first victory that our government has achieved after forming the government six years back. Telangana achieved tremendous improvement in the availability of power and consumption. Telangana is the only state in the country to supply 24×7 power to all sectors, including agriculture.
Similarly, KCR said his government also largely solved the water problem in the state. “Six years back before we came to power, women would stand in long queues for a bucket of water. Today, we are at the tipping point where the government will soon be supplying water 24/7. We have recently announced free water supply from December 1. We are only second state after Delhi to announce free water supply to the citizens.”
KCR also said through the state government’s Palle Pragathi, there was a visible change in the administration and functioning of rural local bodies. “Under the Palle Pragathi program, we have ensured better sanitation, greenery, and improvement of basic facilities. The establishment of nurseries, construction of crematoriums, and dumping yards would be taken up.
He said the Telangana government is the only state in the country to start 1,000 Gurukul residential schools to impart free education for all from “KG to PG” [kindergarten to post-graduation]. Further, he said his government was spending Rs 45,000 crore annually on welfare schemes, the only state in the country to spend heavily on the welfare of the people.
He said Hyderabad has remained peaceful in the last six years. The state government has maintained law and order in the city, but some inimical forces are trying to disturb the peace by fomenting communal trouble and whipping up passions without referring to any political party. “We need a peaceful Hyderabad. We On flood situation, he said every megacity in the country faced severe crisis including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata and that Hyderabad is no exception. “Our leaders have waded through knee-length water to help people in a flood situation.”
On the deployment of national BJP leaders for GHMC poll campaign, he said, “To beat this whip-thin mean, the entire battery of national leaders are camping in Hyderabad. Remember, I am the son of Telangana soil. People from Delhi have descended to campaign in ‘gully’ politics. This clearly shows how strong the TRS is, every leader in Delhi is shaking in their pants. The Uttar Pradesh CM has come to visit Hyderabad. His state stands 25 in growth terms, while Hyderabad figures in the top 5. Now, this weak CM from a weak state will teach us how to rule and govern. We have to live together in communal harmony, together as a bouqet of flowers. Save Hyderabad to save your businesses. If the communal harmony is disturbed, the real estate prices will crash, business climate will be affected. Hyderabad is a reality. I request the intellectual class to save the history and peace of Hyderabad. Are we going to lose our peace because of some communal forces, Do you want to surrender your peace. Do you want to compromise on law and order,” he asked.

“Why is the central government selling LIC? Why are PSUs being sold? When we ask these questions, the central BJP leadership has no answers,” he said.
While KCR sounded brave as he always does, there seems to be some worry in the TRS camp. Political observers say KCR’s meeting is a clear indication that the TRS party is rattled by the BJP, especially after the participation of top BJP national leaders, including its president J P Nadda, UP CM Aditya Yoginath, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in GHMC polls canvassing. The analysts say the TRS camp is clearly jittery about a possible anti-incumbency wave against the ruling party.

KCR Govt files cases against Bandi Sanjay and Akbaruddin

0

The electioneering for the GHMC polls has reached a feverish pitch. The BJP and the MIM are locked in a serious political debate on the issue of MLA Akbaruddin comments on the PV and NTR Ghats in Hussain Sagar lake area. The debate slipped out of proportions with almost all political parties passing their comments in their own ways. Finally, it all boiled down to the rhetoric around religious feelings and inflammatory speeches.
Sandwiched between the BJP and the MIM, the ruling TRS found a safe passage out of this heated debate. The police in Hyderabad took suo motu notice of the BJP and the MIM comments a few days after they were made. The police now filed cases against BJP Telangana President Bandi Sanjay and also Akbaruddin Owaisi.
The cases were booked against these leaders for making such speeches to inflame religious and communal feelings among the voters. The cases were registered at the SR Nagar police station under Section 505. The police noted in the FIR that the speeches were in the nature of provoking communal clashes.
Bandi Sanjay said that Rohingya terrorists infiltrated in the Old City and a surgical strike would be launched on them. Akbaruddin said that the Government should remove PV and NTR Ghats if it really wanted to remove illegal structures from Hussain Sagar.

KCR not permitted to receive Modi in Hyderabad visit

0

The BJP-TRS differences reached a new peak in view of the GHMC elections. They have triggered a cold war between the State and the Central Governments as well. As a result, the PMO has not given permission to Telangana Chief Minister KCR to formally receive PM Modi during his visit to Hyderabad tomorrow.

As per the tradition, the Governor, the CM and the Union Ministers would be receiving the PM during such a visit. Moreover, Modi’s visit this time was also not related to politics. He is going to take part in a Covid vaccine development related programme at Bharat Biotech in Genome valley.

However, the PMO has intimated the Telangana Chief Secretary that the Chief Minister has no permission to receive the PM at the Hakimpet airport tomorrow. Also, the PMO sent a list of only five officers who include the Chief Secretary, the District Collector concerned and the police officials.

Apparently, the Governor and the Union Ministers along with the CM were also not given a chance to receive the PM. The polling day falls on December 1. So, tomorrow is the crucial day when Modi and KCR are both eager to catch as much attention as possible to leave a greater impact on the voters.

Bon Voyage, KCR garu

0

Telangana Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao left for China, to showcase the investment attractiveness of the new-born Telangana state. During his nine-day stay in China, the CM is expected to attend, besides world economic forum meeting, conferences, business meetings, visit to industrial towns and of course tourist places. KCR does everything in style. He left for China today hiring a super luxury 50-seat aircraft and with a 16-member delegation consisting of ministers Jagdish Reddy (energy), Jupally Krishna Rao(industry), Swamy Goud (legislative council chairman), Madhusudhana Chary(assembly speaker), Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao, MLAs K Eshwar and G Balaraju, chief minister’s political secretary S Subhash Reddy, state’s representative in Delhi Venugopala Chary, senior officials in CMO and industrialists.

According to sources in the government, the CM will explore the possible areas of cooperation and investments in Telanana to the tune of Rs 50,000 crore.

But unfortunately for Telangaan chief minister, he is visiting China at a time when the communist country’s economy has taken a nose dive. The growth rate is falling. Political uncertainty looming large. Stock market crash and devaluation of currency badly affected the image of China globally. The market’s decline has now wiped out more than $3.5 trillion in market value in a month, unparalleled in stock market history. China is not only world’s second largest economy it is also the largest trading nation for 75 countries and is by far the largest importer of commodities in the world, a vital export for many emerging market nations. For the past three decades, China’s economic model was built on three pillars—exports, the property market, and domestic fixed-asset investment. Unfortunately, these three pillars are now started crumbling. The housing market is facing a glut with 70 million unsold homes. In most major cities, residential prices have been falling for 18 months. The return on invested capital is rapidly dropping. Many basic industries, such as steel and cement, are operating at 75 percent capacity or less, and factory prices have been declining for three consecutive years which finally peaked in the stock market collapse on August 24, which the Chinese official news agency called ‘Black Monday’.

China, which has been on the top of world economy, could not foresee this tumble and prevent it. ” For decades, the Chinese Communist Party has been able to keep control of democracy protests, dissidents, the legal system and the military, but it is now facing an even more intractable foe: a plummeting stock market,” commented Washington Post.

What would a country, which is caught up in all round financial crisis, offer to Telangana? Or would the luxury trip simply turn out to be a pleasure trip at the cost of tax-payers’ money?
But, let’s wish the chief minister and his team all the best.
