Mass Raja Ravi Teja’s next project Disco Raja got its official launch today in Hyderabad. VI Anand will direct this sci-fi thriller and the regular shoot starts this month. After Ravi Teja suggested several changes for the script, the project got delayed. Payal Rajput is the female lead and the regular shoot commences tomorrow in Hyderabad.

Abburi Ravi penned the dialogues for Disco Raja and SS Thaman is the music director. Ravi Teja will wrap up the shoot in quick schedules and Disco Raja will release during the end of this year. More details awaited.

Ravi Teja had a disastrous 2018 and the actor tasted three debacles in a row. His market tumbled down and the actor’s market is at risk. He is on a break and is preparing himself for his next film which is titled Disco Raja. VI Anand is the director and the regular shoot commences next month. Ram Talluri who lost a huge bet on Ravi Teja’s Nela Ticket is the producer.

Ravi Teja used to charge Rs 10 crores per film and the actor decided to cut down his fee. He promised a film for Ram Talluri after the debacle of Nela Ticket and he is now charging Rs 5 crores for Disco Raja. Payal Rajput is the leading lady and SS Thaman is the music director. The movie will hit the screens during the second half of this year.

‘Mass Maharaja’ Ravi Teja has cultivated a taste for doing typical commercial dramas which cater to mass audience. He has now decided to go against the grain with his next film which will be helmed by critically acclaimed filmmaker VI Anand.

As per reliable reports, Ravi Teja has okayed the script narrated by VI Anand and the film is tentatively titled as Disco Raja. It is learnt that the ‘Raja The Great’ actor will be seen portraying dual roles in this film. He will be playing father – son roles who look strangely similar despite considerable age difference.

VI Anand, we hear, has penned a quirky script with interesting twists around these two roles and got the nod from Ravi Teja. Sources say that the story was first narrated to Allu Arjun who refused to take risk at this point of his career by doing this experimental subject. Ravi Teja has immediately greenlighted the project and will commence the shooting once he wraps up Sreenu Vaitla’s ongoing film.

It remains to be if Ravi Teja’s brave attempt to accept such an experimental script yields the desired result for him or not.
