Vijay Devarakonda’s blockbuster romantic drama Geetha Govindham will soon be remade in Hindi. Reportedly, the producers of this film are confident that the universal story will surely click in other languages as well. So, they are in plans to remake it in Hindi with crazy star cast.

If the latest reports in Bollywood media are to be believed, young hero Ishaan Khatter ,who impressed with his performance in Dhadak along side Janhavi Kapoor, is in talks to reprise Vijay Devarakonda’s role in the Hindi version. Sources revealed that the producers are looking for a fresh and talented youngster who can fit the bill of the lead character very well. They are considering Ishaan because they felt that he can pull off the role with ease just like Vijay Devarakonda did in the Telugu version.

Ishaan had done just two films, but has grabbed the attention for his impressive screen presence. So, he is definitely an ideal option for the Hindi remake. There is no news about who will helm the Hindi version. An official confirmation will clear all these speculations. We have to wait for it.

Vijay Devarakonda’s Geetha Govindham is unstoppable at US box office. After embarking on a phenomenal start with $ 400K on Tuesday premiers, the film is having a dream run in its first weekend.

After blazing past the million dollar mark with a solid Friday, the film had a sensational Saturday at box office with $ 330K to take the total past $ 1.3 Million mark. Going by the current trend, the film is poised to complete the weekend on a high with a $ 1.5 Million haul and head towards the prestigious $ 2M mark by the end of next weekend.

Vijay’s career highest grossing film Arjun Reddy collected $ 1.7 M in overseas. Geetha Govindham is all set to overtake Arjun Reddy by mid next week. Vijay has now got three million dollar films and will soon join the elite group of star heroes with $ 2M grossers.

Despite a wafer thin storyline, the film managed to get thumbs up from audience for its entertaining elements and impeccable performances by lead pair. Parasuram is the director and Bunny Vas produced the film.

Geetha Govindam has held strong on it’s second day as it has collected a distributor share over 3.85 Cr in Telugu States. The drop is just 25 percent from Day One (considering worth share) which is very strong with first day being a Big Holiday. Two days total of the film now stands at 9.30 Cr approx. Lowest drop has come in Nizam as the second day share is almost equal to first day which is because of extra theatres getting added yesterday. 40 more theatres have been added in Nizam today and a holiday will push the collections further.

He requested audience to sing for this song and send it to his team for audition. He promised to replace his vocals with that voice which is selected by his team.

Vijay has now posted the new lyrics of the song along with the Karaoke version and asked audience to send their versions. The winner will also bag an iPhone mobile as a bonus for his impressive vocals.

With the massive success of Arjun Reddy, Vijay’s market has phenomenally improved. Geetha Govindham is now red hot in overseas trade and local buyers are offering solid deals to snap its theatrical rights.

So, the gamble has paid off well and the distributor might walk away with solid profits if he sells the rights to local buyers.
