Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film God Father has been struggling for buzz. The makers too are left puzzled about how to generate the buzz. The film’s release date is inching but the makers are yet to kick-start the promotions on a full-fledged note. Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan is playing an extended cameo in God Father and the film will have a simultaneous release in Hindi along with Telugu. As per the ongoing buzz, God Father will not hit the screens as per the plan on October 5th. The delay in the post-production work and the delayed promotional plan has pushed the release of the Hindi version.

The Telugu version of God Father will release on October 5th. The theatrical trailer of the film will be out next week and a grand pre-release event will take place in Anantapur at the end of this month. The non-theatrical deals of the film are closed recently and the makers are releasing God Father on their own across the globe. The film is directed by Mohan Raja and it has Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara, Salman Khan and Satyadev in the lead roles. Mega Super Good Films are the producers.

It may be a bitter truth but the upcoming film of Megastar Chiranjeevi titled God Father is lacking minimum buzz. The released teaser and the promotional content failed to generate any interest in the film. The film is made on a big budget and Chiranjeevi’s remuneration holds the lion’s share of the film. With the film struggling for buzz, the makers are yet to seal the theatrical deals. None of the distributors are ready to take the risk however they are ready to distribute the film on a recovery basis. There would be no non-refundable deals for the film. The producers will have to take the entire risk.

One reason for this is the low buzz that God Father is carrying. The second reason is the production house Mega Super Good Films which are not active production house of Telugu cinema. NV Prasad and RB Chowdary will have to bear the financial risk of the film. If the film ends up as a hit, it would be good as everyone will be left in profit. If the film flops at the box-office, the financial stress will have to be borne by the producers. Acharya debacle is also impacting God Father.

God Father will have an advantage as it is releasing during the Dasara season. It’s time for the makers to do some aggressive promotions and generate enough buzz on the film. Mohan Raja directed God Father and Chiranjeevi, Salman Khan, Nayanthara and Satyadev played the lead roles.

But the Mega fans and the audience are completely left in deep shock with the background score composed by Thaman. The score sounded completely similar to that of Varun Tej’s Ghani. He was last targeted for the background score of Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata. God Father is the first collaboration of Chiranjeevi and Thaman. The film is the remake of Lucifer and is directed by Mohan Raja. Nayanthara, Samuthirakani and Satyadev played other important roles. The film is announced for October 5th release during Dasara.

Waltair Veerayya releases in January and Bhola Shankar is aimed for Ugadi release.

Even as fans impatiently wait for the first-look poster of Chiranjeevi’s ‘Godfather’, the producers have amped up their excitement levels with a new update.

The film’s creators revealed on social media that renowned music label ‘Saregama South’ had acquired the audio rights. To be noted, Thaman S. is in charge of the music for the upcoming movie.

Earlier, the makers had promised to unveil the first look poster for the Chiranjeevi starrer, on July 4. As fans eagerly wait for the first look poster, some online reports also suggest that the makers will unveil the release date of ‘Godfather’ along with the first look poster.

The movie is directed by Mohan Raja, and Nayanthara plays the lead female role opposite Chiranjeevi. Salman Khan, Bollywood’s macho man, also has a significant part in this film.

Touted to be an intense political drama, ‘Godfather’ is the official Telugu remake of the Malayalam film ‘Lucifer’. Together, Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films have produced this blockbuster.
