BJP leaders intensify attack on YSRCP

0

BJP leaders, who have supported YSRCP before elections, started lambasting the ruling party after the elections. State BJP leaders as well as some central leaders leaving no opportunity to irk YSRCP. Recently GVL Narasimha Rao and Manikyala Rao made severe allegations on YSRCP.

BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao questioned YSRCP on shifting capital. He questioned government about what benefit they will give for the farmers who pooled their lands for Amaravati. He also spoke about corruption in Polavaram. On the other hand, former minister Manikyala Rao also criticized YSRCP. However his statements looks like attempt to provoke religious sentiments. He told Jagan is giving endowment lands to Christians. However, he did not show any evidence for the same. It is known news that Kanna Lakshmi Narayana also supporting Amaravati as capital.

It looks like BJP leaders are increasing their dosage of criticism on YSRCP with each day. But YSRCP leaders are not countering BJP comments strongly giving impression to the people that they are scared of BJP because of CBI and ED cases on Jagan.

Jagan considering Capital shifting: GVL

0

For the first time, BJP MP and national spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao issued a negative comment against the ruling YCP policy on Andhra Capital. In his capacity as spokesperson, he addressed a media conference in Delhi where he accused Jagan Circar of creating needless fears and tensions among the farmers who gave their precious lands for building Amaravati. GVL also made a shocking revelation that as per his information, the YCP government is not in a mood to continue Andhra Capital in Amaravati.

It was only a few days ago that BJP MP TG Venkatesh said that CM Jagan told BJP top leaders (Modi, Amit Shah, etc) in Delhi recently that he was going to shift Andhra Capital from its present location. This triggered rumours on Amaravati fate. Now, GVL’s comment is confirming these rumours.

At the same time, GVL voiced the viewpoint of BJP national unit. He said that Jagan Regime should not take any decision that would hurt the interests of the farmers. The ruling YCP should also give clarity on Amaravati so that there would not be tensions and concerns among different sections in Capital City area.

Expectedly, Sakshi media misinterpreted GVL comments saying that he had criticised previous Chandrababu Circar for taking a unilateral decision on Capital location.

No information on Deputy Speaker post for YSRCP: GVL

0

Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson G.V.L. Narasimha Rao on Tuesday called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy but made it clear that he has no information if the post of Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha was offered to YSR Congress Party.

The BJP MP told reporters after meeting Jagan Reddy at the latter’s official residence that it was a courtesy call and that they did not discuss politics.

Narasimha Rao said he did not know as to which party would be offered Deputy Speaker’s post. He said this would be decided by the BJP leadership.

The BJP leader said he did not know if the post was or will be offered to YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) led by Jagan Reddy.

His reaction was sought on reports that as both the Congress and DMK declined the offer of Deputy Speaker’s post, YSRCP, the third biggest opposition party, would be offered the post.

YSRCP, which stormed to power in Andhra Pradesh with a landslide majority, also won 22 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state.

Narasimha Rao, who felicitated Jagan Reddy with a ‘shawl’, said he congratulated him on certain decisions taken by him after assuming the office. He said they discussed the issues related to the development of the state.

GVL and Vijayasai react on excessive Iftar spendings

0

BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao has begun targetting the YCP government. He has indirectly questioned the wisdom of spending Rs. 1.8 cr on Iftar dinner when the AP state has a deficit budget problem. Iftar dinners are also organised in BJP-ruled states but they don’t have financial crunch on a huge scale.

Meanwhile, the YCP leaders are objecting to the comments on Iftar cost. Party MP Vijayasai Reddy tweeted saying that during Chandrababu Naidu’s rule, Rs 18 lakh was spent on nuts only for four persons. The YCP leaders say that the Iftar should not be seen as not just a dinner but something held in an official, formal way.

GVL Narasimha Rao’s response has created sensation in political circles as this is the first time that the BJP leader has reacted against the YCP government. This is ringing warning bells for YCP leaders who obviously cannot hit back at BJP leaders.

GVL fires at CBN’s one seat for BJP comment

0

BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao has broken his silence after a long time. He has taken objection to CM Chandrababu Naidu’s comment on the BJP for getting just one seat in Telangana assembly election. GVL says CBN seems to be very happy over BJP getting only one seat but this actually shows his impatience and lack of confidence with regard to his TDP’s decreased popularity in AP now.

GVL predicts that the TDP will win not more than two seats in the coming AP Assembly election which is evident from how Chandrababu Naidu’s ratings have gone down in recent times. The handing of the Jagan’s Kodi Kathi case to NIA will now bring out the truth behind the attempt to murder attack on none other than the Opposition leader in AP. GVL accuses Naidu of showing signs of frustration at a time when he should be preparing the TDP for the fast approaching general election.

The BJP leaders are taking a critical look at CBN’s approach towards to other political parties. They are unhappy that Naidu has taken a U-Turn and began attacking the Modi government. What is disturbing the BJP leaders most is the fact that Naidu has risen to play a crucial role in projecting the Congress party under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership as the strongest alternative to the Modi-led BJP in coming general election.

BJP MP writes to Rajya Sabha ethics panel, seeks disqualification of two TDP MPs

0

BJP MP G.V.L. Narasimha Rao has written to the Ethics Committee of the Rajya Sabha, alleging involvement of TDP MPs C.M. Ramesh and Y.S. Chowdary in “massive financial bungling and fraud” and has sought their disqualification over a “serious breach of ethics.”

“I’ve complained to Ethics Committee to sought disqualification of the TDP MPs — Y. S. Chowdary and C.M. Ramesh –, who have earned the dubious title of ‘Andhra Mallyas’ with massive financial scandals. Chowdary defrauded banks of Rs 5,700 crore and Ramesh evaded hundreds of crores in taxes,” Rao, a Rajya Sabha member from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said in a tweet.

Chowdary was Minister of State for Science and Technology in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government before the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) pulled out of it in March this year.

The letter has been written to Narayan Lal Pancharia, the Chairman of the Ethics Committee.

“I am writing to bring to your kind notice serious breach of ethics on part of two members of Rajya Sabha namely C.M. Ramesh and Y. S. Chowdary. Both are involved in allegations of massive financial bungling and fraud,” he said.

Rao said he has submitted “documentary proof” of allegations against the two leaders.

“Ramesh is involved in benami operations and evaded income taxes running into hundreds of crores. His public conduct has also been repugnant and unbecoming of an MP. In a recent TV debate, he has used obnoxious language and slur language against me, unbecoming of an MP,” he said in the letter.

Rao said that because of such cases of financial misappropriation and misconduct, the stature of Parliament and public faith in the great institution has been “damaged”.

He said that the Rajya Sabha has suffered a serious dent to its image due to financial allegations against Vijay Mallya, a former member of the house.

He alleged the case of Y.S. Chowdary was even more serious than Vijay Mallya’s, “as his business operations remain shady and seems thousands of crores” have been borrowed using political clout and patronage.”

“Y.S. Chowdary has been charged by several public sector banks of defrauding them and registered FIRs against his companies which resulted in the Enforcement Directorate probe,” he said.

The BJP leader said it is the mandate of the Ethics Committee to ensure that Members of Parliemant (MPs) maintain high standards of integrity. “I am writing to you to examine my complaint and to initiate suitable action against the two members to ensure the dignity and respect of Parliament is restored,” Rao said.

He also demanded that Chowdary should recuse himself from the deliberations in this matter except as an accused appearing before the committee to offer his explanations, as he was a member of the committee.

Chowdary had denied the allegations a day after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids on his firms and issued him summons.

He has said that none of the companies established by him were involved in any irregularities and termed the allegations as a conspiracy by the Centre to politically harm him.

CBN ban on CBI to promote corruption in AP, says GVL

0

The AP government’s ban on CBI has divided opinion sharply along political lines. WhileMamata Banerjee has already defended AP’s decision, BJP national spokesperson and MP GVL Narasimha Rao has criticised the Naidu government for what he described as its unacceptable move to promote corruption in the state. Rao asked as to why CBN has been feeling as if CBI raids were conducted on him while they were actually targetting some private companies with dubious credentials.

GVL has been in the forefront of carrying forward BJP attack on TDP whenever an opportunity arises. He said that the AP government’s decision would amount to protecting the interests of those who are amassing wealth by illegal means and by evading payment of required taxes. The BJP leader appealed to the people to realise the true intentions behind the state government’s decision and CBN was creating a pro-corruption atmosphere setting a bad example for other states while PM Modi was encouraging transparency and accountability in governance.

Meanwhile, CBI former JD Lakshminarayana has termed the AP decision as an incorrect one and the entire institution cannot be blamed if some unsavoury incidents took place within the CBI. He asked if one doctor fails to give satisfactory treatment, would anybody stop going to hospitals altogether.

Home Minister Chinarajappa said that there would be no question of fearing any negative reaction from the Centre. He said that already Karnataka government has withdrawn general consent. From now on, CBI will have to compulsorily take special permission from the AP government for taking up investigation on a case to case basis.

GVL calls Naidu’s Delhi tour a ‘Save TDP’ trip

0

BJP leaders are giving a new meaning to TDP President Chandrababu Naidu’s call for ‘Save Nation and Save Democracy’ slogan during his two Delhi visits. BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao describes it as a ‘Save TDP’ tour wherein Naidu was desperately trying to protect his TDP from sinking in next elections.
Narasimha Rao has been making serious remarks and he is leading BJP’s campaign against TDP in AP now. His comments are dominating the party’s campaign more than AP party chief Kanna Lakshminarayana. During his current trip to Tirupati, GVL addressed media and spoke to party leaders there. He targetted Naidu for what he described as AP CM’s hard efforts to put together a strong pro-Congress front to oust Modi from power in 2019.

CBN is daydreaming – BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao

1

BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao pressed the anti against AP CM Chandrababu Naidu in the latest press conference. Talking to the media, the BJP senior leader said that, Chandrababu Naidu is daydreaming, and it is time for him to come back to reality.

‘I came to know that Chandrababu Naidu is uttering that he is the mastermind behind creating National Front. And it seems that he also said there was a time when even he could have become the Prime Minister. These statements are nothing but an attempt to save his political existence.

His statements are nothing but hilarious. Everyone knows how CM Chandrababu, who started his life with 2 acres of land became so rich. It is just a matter of time before Chandrababu Naidu is found guilty, and is made to stand in front of the people’, said GVL Narasimha Rao.

With both TDP and BJP criticizing each other, only time will tell who is the biggest loser, and who is the biggest gainer. Currently, both the parties are not having a great time in the state of AP.
