Karnataka Ex CM HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumar is making his debut as an actor and the movie has been titled Jaguar. Made on a massive budget of Rs 75 crores, renowned technicians like V Vijayendra Prasad, SS Thaman, Manoj Paramahamsa worked for the film which raised the bars. A Mahadev directed this stylish action thriller and Deepti Sati played the female. Sri Chennambika Films produced Jaguar which released in Telugu and Kannada today. Here is the exclusive review of the film.

Story:

Sourya Prasad (Sampath Raj) is a hardcore businessman who invests in various fields. SS Channel is one among them and to increase the TRPs of the channel, he decides to go to any level. The channel gets hacked by an unknown person who telecasts the murder of a judge live. CBI Officer (Jagapathi Babu) will be on board to investigate the case and he names the operation as Jaguar. SS Krishna (Nikhil) is a medico who falls in love with Priya (Deepti) and the rest of the film is all about Krishna’s relation with Operation Jaguar. Will CBI end up resolving the case catching the real culprit. Watch the film to know about the complete story.

Performance:

Nikhil Kumar makes a decent debut with Jaguar and he took the responsibility to impress the audience in all the available ways. Though he excelled with his dance moves and in the action episodes, he needs to work a lot on his expressions. Deepti has been limited for songs and Tamannaah’s glamour is an additional attraction for the film. Jagapathi Babu has been decent in the crisp role and Sampath Raj impressed the audience big time. All the other actors have been decent.

Starting with the story penned by VV Vijayendra Prasad, the film carried huge expectations as the writer scored massive hits like Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The story of Jaguar has been completely routine and outdated. The screenplay has been decent but it should have been better. The music has been ok however the background score looked impressive and it elevated the movie. The cinematography is the major highlight of Jaguar and the editing has been good enough. The production values looked loud and lavish in each and every frame. A Mahadev managed to stand strong with his directorial abilities, however the film dipped down during the second half.

Analysis:

The first half of Jaguar starts with a bang however the film drops down slowly. With enough dose of romantic episodes and entertainment throughout, the first half of Jaguar looks decent. The director tried to maintain the suspense with his narration. The songs have been placed well and they looked extremely beautiful.

The second half of the film fails to maintain the much needed grip and it dips down completely. The major plot has been kept aside focusing on unwanted and indulged entertainment. The pre-climax episodes make the film loud however the climax has been a huge disappointment because of the outdated screenplay and narration. On the whole the second half makes the much needed damage for the film.

Final Word:

Jaguar is sure a huge disappointment from a technically skilled team and Nikhil struggles a lot to prove his mettle.
