As Big Boss is being shot in Mumbai, the shooting of Jai Lava Kusa was shifted to Pune to avoid any delay in wrapping the film. With less than fifty days left for the film’s release, the unit has decided to increase the working speed and wrap up the film by the second week of September.

    The Pune schedule will be wrapped by the end of second week in this month with which the entire talkie part is going to be done and dusted. The left over songs and the little patch work will be completed by September first week. The makers are chalking a strong promotional campaign before the film’s release.

    The film sees NTR’s playing a triple role for the first time in his career. Bobby is directing this big budget entertainer.

    Telugu film industry is one place where heroes enjoy ‘Demigod’ status. Leave aside getting killed, fans can’t tolerate even when their favorite hero gets beaten up in films. Going by the last update, fans of NTR Jr will have to go to theatres screening his upcoming film ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ with lot of guts as one of the characters played by him will be killed in the climax.

    It is known that NTR is essaying three different characters – Jai, Lava and Kusa in ‘Jai Lava Kusa’. Jai character was recently introduced through the film’s first teaser. Going by the teaser, NTR’s menacing villainy as Jai will be remembered for a long time. Despite Jai is the villain, he seems to be the most interesting and crucial character of the three.

    It is heard that Lava and Kusa will together have to kill Jai in the film’s climax in order to put a full stop to his atrocities. Since Jai character is the villain in the film, it must be killed according to the rules of commercial cinema. Probably it should be called an anticlimax since it will feature the killing of a star hero like NTR.

    Notwithstanding the nature of Jai character, its NTR who will be killed on screen. How will the actor’s fans receive this? Will the makers shoot a second climax keeping the sentiments of fans in mind? Jai character will most probably be ended in a justifiable manner in order not to hurt fans.

    The alleged accusation by a source close to director Puri Jagannnath about NTR stealing the director’s story idea and using it in ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ has spread life wildfire in film circles. Telugu360 is bringing you the actual background story, and also the misunderstanding that led to the ‘plagiarism’ rumour.

    It is true that NTR and Puri had discussed a few ideas for a possible collaboration. The duo somehow couldn’t come on a common page and decided to collaborate at a later point in time. Next, Bobby approached NTR with the subject of ‘Jai Lava Kusa’, and the actor immediately gave his green signal.

    The only similarity between the story narrated by Puri and Bobby’s is that lead character in both versions has stammering issue. JLK is an entirely original story with the hero essaying three characters while Puri’s version had only one principle character with stammering problem. It is unjustified to accuse NTR of stealing story idea just because of a similarity in characterization, ‘stammering’.

    A heroine with no movies, who is close to Puri, is responsible for these rumors as she intentionally divulged to media that NTR stole Puri’s idea and used it in JLK just because of the ‘Stammering’ similarity.

    “Udaan” and “Ugly” fame Ronit Roy has been roped in to play the antagonist in junior NTR starrer Telugu action drama “Jai Lava Kusa”, a source said.

    The film will mark his Telugu debut.

    “Ronit plays the villain. He has already started shooting and the team is currently filming an action sequence in a stone quarry in Hyderabad,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.

    The source added that Kannada actor Duniya Vijay was originally considered for the role.

    “The team felt Ronit would be a better bet because of the subject. They’re really impressed with his work and are happy they’ve made the right choice to go with him,” he said.

    Being directed by Bobby, the film stars junior NTR in triple role.

    For one of his roles, Ronit will be seen wearing prosthetic and the look is being handled by Hollywood make-up artist Vance Hartwell, popular for his work in films such as “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy and “Shutter Island”.

    Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas are playing the leading ladies.

    The makers of Junior NTR starrer Telugu action-drama “Jai Lava Kusa” have built a massive palace-like set worth over Rs 2 crore to shoot a vital portion of the second half of the film, a source said.

    “The set has been erected in Ramoji Film City. It’s a palace-like structure with lavish interiors. Key portion of the second half will be shot in this set, which is worth over Rs 2 crore,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.

    The film features Junior NTR in a triple role.

    For one of his roles, he will be seen wearing prosthetic and his look is being handled by Hollywood make-up artist Vance Hartwell, popular for his work in films such as “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy and “Shutter Island”.

    Being directed by Bobby, the film is being produced by Jr NTR’s brother Kalyanram under the banner NTR Arts.
