Tadepalle palace is plotting to enfeeble Chandrababu physically and mentally, says Kala Venkat Rao

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, and advisor to the Governemnt, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, are conspiring to enfeeble former chief minister and TDP supremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu both physically and mentally and thus controlling the doctors and the prison officials not to reveal the actual health condition of Chandrababu, said former minister and TDP politburo member Kimidi Kala Venkat Rao, on Tuesday.

Though medical tests were conducted on Chandrababu inside the ail on October 14, till now the details of his health condition has not been made public, Kala Venkat Rao told media persons here. If medical tests are conducted on a person suffering from skin problems and if the details of the medical tests reports are not made public, should not be called as a conspiracy, Venkat Rao asked.

Will the person who killed his own paternal uncle for political gains, not resort to a conspiracy with regard to a great leader like Chandrababu, he said. While the Chief Minister, sitting at the Tadepalle palace is hatching the conspiraces, the minister for all potfolios (Sajjala) is focussing on implementing them, Kala Venkat Rao remarked.

Both of them stooped so low to misuse all the Constitutional systems, he felt. When the family members of Chandrababu have knocked at the doors of the judiciary with an appeal to make public the medical reports, why the State Government is conspiring not giving the details of these reports, he asked.

Observing that the prison officials too are making public certain issues under the directions of the Tadepalle palace, Kala Venkat Rao said and expressed surprise as to why the medical reports are not being made public if Chandrababu’s health condition is that good. When the State Government is acting in such a manner with regard to a former chief minister, how it acts when it comes to a common man can easily be understood, he noted.

Demanding the State Government to immediately make public the medical reports of Chandrababu, the TDP politburo member asked why the prison authorities have not provided the AC facility to Chandrababu till the court ordered for it. What the doctors response on Chandrababu coming down by five kg of weight, he said and wanted to know the reasons for the prison authorities keeping it as a secret.

Now it is clear that the State Government and the Chief Minister are hatching conspiracies to harm Chandrababu, he said and made it clear that the people will certainly teach a fitting lesson to Jagan. How the Rajamahendravaram Jail authorities can say that Chandrababu is being treated like any other prisoner when the judge made it clear that Chandrababu is only under remand, he asked.

Kala Venkat Rao demanded that the personal doctors of Chandrababu be allowed to conduct tests on him and he be immediately shifted to a corporate hospital to get a good medicare. The former chief minister asked as to why condition are being imposed to meet Chandrababu.

The former minister felt that Jagan could not digest the tremendous response across the globe to the illegal arrest of Chandrababu Naidu and wanted Jagan to function as per the Constitutional provisions on public response at lest now.

Before walking into ‘sunset,’ this politico wants ‘son’ rise

What does a fading heavyweight do in politics? Before he completely fades away, he would install his son in his position. Handing over the baton is the most important task for any politician. This is now the biggest task before one-time heavyweight and TDP AP’s former chief Kala Venkat Rao.

Kala Venkat Rao had his time under the son. He enjoyed his stint as an MLA, a minister and the party’s president for Andhra Pradesh! Now the TDP is out of power and politics for him is back to square one. His presidential post too is gone now. Massive defeat in Etcherla constituency, his borough, in 2019 elections has indicated that it was time to walk into the political sunset. Now Kala Venkat Rao has decided that it was time for ‘son’ rise.

Years of staying in Amaravati and Hyderabad have affected his connections in the constituency. He is now out of touch in his own Etcherla that he had nursed for such a long time. Also, Covid scare for the last one-and-a-half year has also kept him away from touring the constituency. During this period, the YSRCP has fortified its position and has emerged stronger in the panchayat elections. It has now become an existential question for Kala Venkat Rao and his family.

Now that he wants his son to take his baton, he has begun cultivating the voters and influencers in Etcherla again. His son Ram Mallik Naidu has now been given a key post in the party. He is now one of the secretaries of the party.

Now, Kala Venkat Rao is extensively touring the nook and cranny of the constituency and is holding meetings with the workers and office bearers. He is also said to tutoring Naidu in the nitty-gritty and nuances of politics. One only hopes Ram Mallik Naidu will pick up cues from his illustrious dad and emerge as a strong politician in Etcherla to carry on the legacy of Kala Venkat Rao.

Destructive governance, says Kala Venkata Rao on GITAM demolition

1

Senior TDP leader Kala Venkata Rao fired at the Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP government for the demolition drive against Gitam University.

In a statement, Kala Venkata Rao said, “This is the most destructive governance I have ever seen in decades of my political career. The government instead of taking up relief and rehabilitation works in flood-affected districts of the state is indulging in destructive politics.”

“Gitam University is renowned for imparting standard and quality education. The university has been producing quality students required for the job market. The university has been demolished without following proper norms. The government has not served any prior notice. There is no court directive. This is nothing but an act of political vendetta. The demolition of the university only goes to show how vengeful the government can get,” Kala Venkat Rao said. He said the GVMC conducted the demolition work without issuing any prior notice.

“This is an act of revenge by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. It happened at midnight on Friday,” he lashed out.

Dr Mathukumilli Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Murthi, popularly known as MVVS Murthi, had started Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM). Murthi had served as the chairman of Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) in the 1980s when N T Rama Rao was the chief minister. Murthi’s grandson Sai Bharat is married to Nandamuri Balakrishna’s younger daughter, Tejaswini.

Projects that AP Energy Minister Kala wanted to focus deferred

0

In just about three months after Andhra Pradesh Minister of Energy Kala Venkat Rao took charge, uncertainty looms over the plants he aspired to focus on taking the oath. The Minister aspired to develop Srikakulam district and wanted to get going with proposed Kovvada atomic power plant and Sumitomo thermal power project in Narasannapeta Mandal.

As per the reports the coal-fired power plant in collaboration with Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation in Polaki Mandal has been deferred. The 4000MW ultra supercritical thermal power project will be revived only if the electricity demand increases in the power surplus state. The plant which was supposed to be built with 2400MW was revived to 4000MW after Chandrababu Naidu came to power. The Japanese officials found Polanki in Narsannapeta Mandal suitable to set up the plant, after the TDP government signed the MoU with Sumitomo Corporation.

Principal secretary to state government Ajay Jain informed TOI, “We have temporarily deferred AP Genco’s proposal to set up a coal-fired power plant in Srikakulam as there is no demand for power. Currently, we have surplus power. We will consider the proposal when the power demand goes up”

Likewise, it may be recalled that the week Kala was blessed with the Cabinet berth, Westinghouse filed bankruptcy. Consequently, Kovvada plant will apparently gain momentum only in 2018.

Land acquisition has also been a significant hurdle for both projects. The Etcherla MLA evidently has to shift his focus from Kovvada and Sumitomo units and find other means for the development of Srikakulam district.
