A Triple Release treat for Vinayaka Chavithi

Tollywood is getting back to business and some of the films raked decent numbers in theatres in the recent weeks. Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story is the first renowned release and the film is announced for September 10th on the occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi. This Sekhar Kammula directorial is high on expectations and the film has Sai Pallavi as the leading lady. Nani’s Tuck Jagadish which skipped the theatrical release will have its digital release through Amazon Prime from the night of September 9th.

Shiva Nirvana is the director and Ritu Varma is the heroine. An official announcement will be made very soon. Nithiin is done with the shoot of Maestro which happens to be the remake of Bollywood film Andhadhun. The film too will head for a direct digital release on Disney Plus Hostar on September 9th or 10th. Merlapaka Gandhi directed this interesting film and Tamannaah, Nabha Natesh played other important roles. On the whole, it would be a triple treat for the Tollywood audience over the weekend of Vinayaka Chavithi.

Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story Release Date Announced

Akkineni youngster Naga Chaitanya and sensible director Sekhar Kammula are teaming up for the first time with Love Story, a romantic drama set in Telangana. Sai Pallavi is the leading lady and the released singles ended up as chartbusters. The makers of Love Story announced that the film will hit the screens during Vinayaka Chavithi on September 10th. A new poster featuring Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi is out along with the release date.

Love Story happens to be the first budgeted film to release in Telugu after the second wave of coronavirus. The makers closed the deals for massive prices and they are left in profits even before the release. Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP are the producers and Pawan Ch is the music director. The film is set in a Telangana village and both Naga Chaitanya, Sai Pallavi will be seen speaking in Telangana dialect.

The governments of Telugu states granted permission to reopen the film theatres and screen films. The major obstacle of ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh is resolved for now and the cases of coronavirus are seeing a decline. With the theatres reopening soon, Tollywood is expected to have a bunch of prominent films releasing in August. Love Story and Tuck Jagadish are the first biggies arriving to theatres after the pandemic break.

Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story will head for a theatrical release on August 6th as per the current scenario. Nan’s Tuck Jagadish will hit the screens on August 13th. The makers are expected to make an official announcement later this month and the promotional activities will kick-start soon. Love Story is a romantic entertainer directed by Sekhar Kammula and Naga Chaitanya, Sai Pallavi played the lead roles. Tuck Jagadish is directed by Shiva Nirvana and Nani, Ritu Varma are the lead actors.

Aha has acquired the digital rights of Love Story starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi along with the streaming rights of Most Eligible Bachelor. Both these acquisitons are made at a premium cost and this comes out as a statement to the industry projecting Aha as a viable option to the multi national OTT players.

Aha also acquired Lakshya starring Naga Shourya along with the Akkineni films.

Theatrical Releases: Tollywood aims August

The entire Telugu film industry is shut from the past two months because of the second wave of coronavirus. The shoots are resuming slowly and the entire Telugu cinema will return back to work from July first week. But there is no possibility for theatrical screening of the films as the government needs to grant permission to reopen the theatres. There are talks that the theatres will reopen from the end of July on 50 percent occupancy basis.

Summer pending releases like Love Story, Tuck Jagadish, Viraata Parvam and Seetimaar are expected to hit the screens in August if things are positive. The discussions are on for now and nothing has been finalized. Films like Naarappa, Paagal, Most Eligible Bachelor are done with the shoot of Radhe Shyam, Acharya are in the final stages of the shoot. Tollywood will have a bunch of releases in August, Septemer if things are favorable.

How Love Story team completed shoot without a single case of Coronavirus?

Talented and sensible filmmaker Sekhar Kammula’s next directorial Love Story is waiting to release soon. Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi are the lead actors in this breezy romantic entertainer. The makers continued the shoot for more than three months after the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic. Sekhar Kammula even decided to reshoot some of the portions after he was not convinced with some of the episodes. When the unit members of other films are infected with coronavirus, not a single case for coronavirus is reported on the sets of Love Story.

The makers of the film took special care of the entire unit members and imposed strict coronavirus rules and guidelines issued by the government. The team of Love Story managed to shoot with a crew of 100 members and they offered nutritious food for everyone on the sets. Along with the regular menu, milk, eggs, fruits and multi-vitamin tablets were served for the entire crew members. All the 100 members are insured for Rs 3 lakhs and this costed Rs 50 lakhs for the makers. The makers are quite happy as none of the unit members is tested positive for coronavirus during these tough times.
