Telugu star Nani shared a still from the first-day shoot of his upcoming film “V”.

Nani shared the picture on Instagram. In the image, he sports a rugged beard, sunglasses and is seen smoking.

“Pic from the first day shoot of #V… Waiting for the day we will all watch it together… until then.. stay safe,” he wrote alongside the image.

“V” is an action thriller directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti. It also features Sudheer Babu, Nivetha Thomas, Aditi Rao Hydari, Jagapathi Babu, Vennela Kishore, Nassar and Srinivas Avasarala.

“V” is Nani’s 25th film and he will be portraying a negative role for the first time. The film was slated for a March release, but has been pushed due to the outbreak of coronavirus in the country.

Nani made his debut in 2008 with the hit film “Ashta Chamma”. He was then seen in films like “Ride”, “Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu”, “Ala Modalaindi”, “Pilla Zamindar”, “Eega”, “Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu”, “Yevade Subramanyam”, “Bhale Bhale Magadivoy”, “Middle Class Abbayi” and “Jersey”.

For the first time, Nani’s film into budget revisions

Natural Star Nani is one actor who is quite focused on the budget of his projects. The best thing about the actor is he completes the shoot of his projects in quick schedules and he is focused on one project at a time. This prevents huge wastage for the producers. The film is set in the backdrop of Kolkata and is planned on a budget of over Rs 40 crores. Though the makers wanted to cut down the budget, it did not come down. With the coronavirus outbreak, it is almost impossible to shoot the film in Kolkata. Nani is in talks with the makers and the team is in talks on how to revise the budget of the film. Erecting massive sets of Kolkata is one of the options but it will indeed cross the planned budget.

After completing the shoot of Tuck Jagadish, Nani is in plans to go ahead with Vivek Athreya’s project and Srikanth’s rustic love story before joining the sets of Shyam Singha Roy. The periodic drama will start rolling once the situations settle down and the budget gets revised.

Nani and Sudheer Babu starrer V is announced for March 25th release during Ugadi. The recent situations of coronavirus scare and the examination season had a huge impact on the collections from the past ten days. The buyers of V asked producer Dil Raju to push V for April 17th or 24th to take the advantage of the holiday season and they believe that things would turn better by April. V is a crucial film as the buyers lost huge amounts on Iddari Lokam Okkate and Jaanu that are produced by Dil Raju.

What’s more worrying is the local body polls that are scheduled to take place between March 21st and 29th in Andhra Pradesh. The distributors are mounting pressure on Raju to push the release date of V. The makers already kick-started the promotions and Raju, Sirish are keen on releasing V as per the plan. If the situations turn worse, they are in plans to release V on April 17th.

Directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti, V is an action thriller and has Aditi Rao Hydari, Nivetha Thomas as the heroines.

Natural Star Nani is super confident about his second production HIT which is a crime thriller. Made on a decent budget, the film left Nani in profits even before its release. After finding some promising work from Sailesh Kolanu, Nani decided to lock him for his next. Nani is said to be keen on making HIT into a franchise and the work for the sequel is already on. Sailesh is working on the script already.

It is too early to comment on this but Nani is in plans to make an official announcement about the sequel and the franchise very soon.
