Nikhil’s Arjun Suravaram gets table profits

Young and talented actor Nikhil is known for choosing interesting scripts. Despite tasting a debacle with the remake of Kannada film Kirik Party, Nikhil has decided to work on another remake for his next film which is titled as Arjun Suravaram. A remake of Tamil hit Kanithan, the film has Nikhil playing a strong willed journalist who busts a fake certificates racket.

Arjun Suravaram has been making good waves in Telugu as Kanithan received good response at Tamil box office. The intense teaser has raised the hype further in trade circles. As per the latest reports, Arjun Suravaram has done a solid business and entered the profit zone even before its release. It is learnt that the theatrical rights of the film were sold for 11 Crores to top distributors in Telugu states and the makers have recouped the entire investment with the pre release business itself.

The film was supposed to release on March 29th. However, the makers have decided to release it in May due to the ongoing elections fever in Telugu states. TN Santosh is the director and Lavanya Tripathi is the female lead.

Nikhil shifts focus on Karthikeya 2

Young actor Nikhil is all awaited for the release of his next film Arjun Suravaram. After the teaser received a thumping response, the actor is waiting for the film’s release on March 29th. Nikhil has been in talks with Chandoo Mondeti for the sequel of Karthikeya and the script of the film got locked recently. The movie is now tentatively titled Karthikeya 2.

Chandoo, after he got a nod from Nikhil, kept himself busy finalizing the lead actors and technicians for this action thriller. Abhishek Nama will bankroll this project on Abhishek Pictures banner. An official announcement about the project is expected at the earliest.

Arjun Suravaram teaser : A vigilante thriller on cards

Young actor Nikhil Siddharth’s next is a remake of Tamil thriller Kanithan which is based on fake degree certificate racket. Titled as Arjun Suravaram, the film is directed by TN Santosh who helmed the original version.

The first teaser of Arjun Suravaram is out and it minces no words in projecting the film as a faithful remake of Kanithan. Nikhil plays a strong-willed journalist who embarks on a mission to bust a serious scam involving fake certificates. The teaser has gripping visuals supported by riveting background score from Sam C.S. Nikhil has bulked up his avatar for this serious role and his intense mannerisms suit the character very well.

Lavanya Tripathi is playing Nikhil’s love interest and she seems to have got a substantial role as well. The gripping teaser promises a vigilante thriller for audience this Summer.

Nikhil’s Mudra title Replaced

Young actor Nikhil signed an invetigative crime thriller which was titled Mudra and the film is the remake of Tamil blockbuster Kanithan. Nikhil and producer Natti Kumar exchanged words recently and Natti Kumar released a film with the title Mudra. The makers of Nikhil’s film decided to change the title and welcomed suggestions on social media.

The film is now titled Arjun Suravaram and is in final stages of post-production. The film will release on March 29th all over. Nikhil plays a journalist in this racy action thriller that completed shoot during December. Lavanya Tripathi played the female lead and Tagore Madhu is the producer. T Santosh who directed the original directed Arjun Suravaram.

Nani and Nikhil joining hands?

Natural Star Nani recently joined hands with King Nagarjuna for Devadas and the film released between huge expectations and ended up as a debacle. The actor is currently busy with the shoot of Jersey which will hit the screens next year. If the ongoing speculations are to be believed, Nani signed one more multi-starrer which features young actor Nikhil in the other lead role.

Sensible filmmaker Mohankrishna Indraganti will direct this multi-starrer which will start rolling during February 2019. Two young actors joining hands for a multi-starrer turned out to be quite tough as most of the actors have been occupied with enough number of projects and balancing their roles turned out to be one more challenge for filmmakers. After a long wait and search, Indraganti managed to lock Nikhil for the other lead role.

Popular producer Dil Raju will bankroll this project and the genre, other details are kept under wraps as of now. More details about the film will be announced soon.

What came as a big surprise to everyone is one of his tweets a few weeks ago which is understood as a jibe on Vijay Devarakonda’s reaction on NOTA result. After NOTA failed badly at box office, Vijay came up with a strong post aiming at those who are celebrating his failure.

As soon as Vijay posted his reaction, Nikhil came up with a tweet which read as ‘ For People who think world revolves around them and throw unnecessary attitude around , Dude UR not that important, every actor competes with himself. Hype less work more’. This post has received a lot of negativity from Nikhil’s followers and he immediately deleted it. Many have lambasted Nikhil for being envious of Vijay Devarakonda’s growing popularity.

Surprisingly, Nikhil has now extended full support to Vijay’s upcoming film Taxiwaala, which is releasing this 17th. Yesterday, Nikhil took to Twitter and requested audience not to encourage piracy. Vijay has reciprocated to this post and thanked Nikhil for his support. In reply, Nikhil wished best of luck to Vijay and team in his next tweet. It seems like Nikhil wants to redeem for his jibe after NOTA by giving support to Taxiwaala.

Taxiwaala directed by Rahul Sankrithyan is set for grand release on Saturday.

Actor Nikhil’s upcoming film Mudra is an investigative thriller based on true events. Lavanya Tripati is playing the female lead in this film directed by TN Santosh. The lead pair will be seen as journalists in this film.

As the story focuses on journalism, a major portion of the shoot had to be done in a TV studio. Due to budget constraints, the makers decided to use a not-so-popular channel TV99 for the film at that time. Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan’s team acquired TV99 for promoting Janasena party. As Mudra was shot completely with the logos of TV99, Pawan’s team felt that many would treat that the film is supporting Janasena. So, they changed the name to 99TV to avoid controversies. However, they are still concerned that people would think that it as a partisan of Janasena.

Meanwhile, team Mudra has assertively clarified that the film has nothing to do with any political party. The shooting formalities are nearing completion and the makers have locked December 28th as the release date.

The first look poster of the film has been unveiled and it looks very interesting. It features the silhouette of lead pair staring at sky with a torch. Giving a peek into this investigation thriller, the makers have unveiled the pre look posters today evening. As the story revolves around a journalist who investigates into a fake certificates scam, the pre look posters are designed in a way to depict the theme aptly.

‘Pen is Mightier than the Gun’ are the words printed on these posters revealing that Nikhil is playing the role of a journalist who works for Tv99 Channel. The first look poster will be out on June 1st.

Kirrak Party had a Poor first week with a worldwide distributor share of 5.50 Cr. After a very average weekend the film literally crashed on weekdays with area wise distributor shares coming down to thousands. The collections are less than previous Nikhil Starrer Keshava (https://www.telugu360.com/tag/keshava/) which had collected a distributor share of 7.05 Cr in it’s first week worldwide.Theatrical rights of the film including expenses are valued at 11 Cr which means the recovery so far is just 50 percent. The film is going to end up as a flop in the least case unless it picks up miraculously.

Nikhil gets career best premiers with Kiraak Party

Talented young hero Nikhil Siddharth’s Kiraak Party released all over this Friday. An official remake of Kannada hit Kirik Party, the campus drama got a wider release in overseas with more than 130 locations for its Thursday premiers.

The film opened on a positive note in overseas with $ 116K from its premiers. Kiraak Party is the career best opener for Nikhil in overseas surpassing the premiers collections of his previous hits Keshava and Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada by large margin. The film, rated as a typical youthful college drama by audience and critics, may have a decent run in overseas as there are no notable releases since the past few weeks.

Directed by Sharan Kopisetty the film has Simran Praneeja and Samyuthka Hegde as the female leads. AK Entertainments has produced the film.

Kirrak Party Trailer Review

Actor Nikhil’s Kiraak Party, an official remake of Kannada hit Kirik Party, is gearing up for release this Friday. The theatrical trailer has been unveiled today evening.

The one minute forty seconds trailer leaves the viewers with a feeling of Déjà Vu as many scenes bear a semblance of Sekhar Kammula’s Happy Days. Nikhil, with happy-go-lucky attitude, as a junior who pays no heed to his seniors seem to have essayed a role which is an extension of that in Happy Days.

The trailer minces no words in hinting that the film will be an out and out youthful entertainer with plenty of drama and antics. A few glimpses of two female leads Simran Praneeja and Samyuthka Hegde are showcased in the trailer.

What remains to be seen is whether Kiraak Party offers something better and more than Happy Days to the target audience after its release on March 16th. Let’s wait and find out.

Massive promotions for Kirrak Party

Young actor Nikhil is one among the most prominent actors of Telugu cinema and he is one actor who believes in strong content. His next film Kirrak Party has been carrying huge buzz and is slated for release this Friday. The film is the remake of Kannada blockbuster Kirik Party and the makers managed to make minor changes for the film to suit the nativity and taste of the Telugu audience. Simran Pareenja and Samyuktha Hegde are the female leads in this youthful entertainer which is hitting the screens on March 16th all over.

When movies from other languages are officially remade, directors usually ensure that music score and song lyrics are entirely different and suit the sensibilities of audience here. However, Nikhil’s upcoming college drama Kiraak Party, a remake of Kannada hit Kirik Party, seems to be an exception for this.

The third single of Kiraak Party ‘ Last Bench ‘ has been unveiled today evening and its sounds very much like a carbon copy of the Kannada song which has similar lyrics. The tune and lyrics are blatantly inspired by the Kannada version and surprisingly the Telugu song has been crooned by the same singer who lent vocals to the original version.

It can be understood that the Telugu song comes in the same context of the story like that in the Kannada version, but it could have been a better attempt if they changed atleast the tune and the singer.

No prizes for the guess work, the music for both films is composed by B. Anjaneesh Lokanath.

Young actor Nikhil has been busy promoting his next film Kirrak Party which is gearing up for March 16th release. The actor on the occasion of Holi wanted to shoot for a promotional event which was planned by NTV. He asked the TV channel to hold the event between 10-12 PM but the actor never turned up. After repeated calls, the actor bluffed them that he is around and will be reaching the venue in 10 minutes.

After waiting for three hours, the TV channel wanted to shelve the event after which Nikhil made his presence. He finally made it for the promotional event at 2.30 PM and with nothing much to do, the organizers shot the promotional program. Will Nikhil dare to do the same, if it is for a live show or a direct interview for a TV channel? Nikhil who prefers to stay away from controversies seems to have been quite interested to stand in news through controversies.

Kirrak Party has been carrying huge buzz and is directed by Sharan Koppisetty. AK Entertainments bankrolled this project.
