Coming to Profit loss details, the film has collected a distributor share of $2,896,637 which comes down to $2,646,637 ie, 18.80 Crores INR after deducting the expenses like VPF & Publicity. The film has got pre-release offers in the range of 30-35 Crores from various distributors on outright basis. But the producers have rejected those and released the film on their own on Advance basis through the leading distributor Prime Media. Now the producers have lost at least 11 Cores by releasing the film on their own instead of selling as it has collected nearly 19cr share against the offered price of 30 Cr. Produced by Dil Raju and DIrected by Venu Sri Ram, the film has collected a gross of $1,081,952 and emerged as the fourth highest grosser in Nani’s career. It fell behind Bhale Bhale Magadivoi($1,430,026), Ninnu Kori ($1,196,559) and Nenu Local($1,079,986).

Hello Telugu Movie Overseas Profit Loss Statement

Hello Starring Akhil Akkineni and Kalyani Priyadarshan was released on Dec 23rd 2018. Directed by Vikram Kumar and produced by the Nagarjuna Akkineni the film has ended up as the first Million Dollar for the hero in USA Market. There’s a humongous 6 times improvement when you compare with hero’s previous Akhil-The Power Of Jua which had grossed $168,544.

Coming to the distributor share details, the film has collected distributor share of $510,523 which comes down to $400,523 ie, 2.55 Crores INR after deducting the expenses like VPF & Publicity. Gross to Share percent of the film on a whole is a little over 50 percent unlike the other million dollar films which got up to 55 percent. The reason for this is the film grossing more in AMC/Regal which have contributed more than 45 percent of the total USA gross. The film was an own release by producer and can be termed as a Hit based on the factors like cast, clashing with other notable film which was also a Million Dollar. Sekhar Kammula’s directorial film FIDAA starring Varun Tej , debutante Sai Pallavi was released on July 21st 2017, became one of the biggest hits at the overseas Box-office. Produced by Dil Raju, Fidaa has collected $2,058,419 to become 6th highest grosser of All-time in USA. Fidaa was one of very few movies where all involved parties made good money.

Fidaa has collected a distributor share of $1,151,973 i.e. 7.37 crores INR in USA from 131 locations. From Non-USA market, it has fetched another 30 lakhs INR, to make it a total distributor share of 7.67 crores in overseas

Profit Loss Calculation:

After expenses deduction, Fidaa’s overseas share stands at 7 Crores. As the movie was sold for 4 crores , it has fetched 3 crores profit. Out of the profits, 1.25 Crores went to the distributor , remaining 1.75 crores to the local exhibitors as per the profit sharing model.

Khaidi No.150 USA Overseas collections

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s comeback film Khaidi No.150, which was released on Jan 10th 2017, turned out to be a phenomenal grosser at the Overseas Box-office. Prior to release, trade circles were skeptical about this movie’s performance at overseas, but euphoria started building up since audio release, peaked by the time of movie release. This film had taken an unprecedented start with $1.3 Million gross on premiere day,on par with Baahubali-1. Adding to Megastar‘s comeback craze, Khaidi No.150 premiere day in USA was coincided with T-Mobile Tuesday $2 ticket offer which was first of its kind. As per the trade sources we talked to, $500-$600k of the gross can be accounted to this smoking hot deal. Nevertheless, it is still gigantic opening day for Khaidi No.150. After the premiere day, Khaidi No.150 had competition from other two pongal movies, but still managed to add another $1.1 million in its full run. Finally, it has ended up as All-time 4th highest grosser in USA.

Khaidi No.150 has collected a massive $2,440,607 gross from 186 locations with a $1,409,640 [9.45 Crores INR] distributor share. From Non-USA countries, this film had fetched another 2.50 Crore INR, to make it a total overseas distributor share of 11.95 Crores.

Note : Effective Jan 1st 2017, after AMC taken over Carmike, there were changes in payout structure of all theatre chains, hence distributor share will be lower compared to previous years’.

Profit – Loss Calculation:

After expenses deduction, USA share is $1,249,640 i.e. 8.49Cr INR, including non-USA countries [2.50 Cr] total overseas share of Khaidi No.150 is 10 Cr 99 Lakhs INR. As the distributor, had paid only 10 crores as the distribution rights to the producer, this overseas distributor had earned around 1 crore profit

Controversy:

According to the reliable sources, producer agreed to sell the rights for 12 Crores (2 crore recoverable), but distributors had paid only 10 crores. So, now if the producer strictly enforces the pre-release agreement, then above said 1 crore profit would not remain with the distributors, it will be a breakeven film for them.
