Talented director Parasuram took advances from Geetha Arts and 14 Reels Plus after delivering a super hit like Geetha Govindam. After bagging an opportunity to direct Mahesh, he pushed Naga Chaitanya’s film that was announced. After the release of Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Parasuram had to work with either Geetha Arts or 14 Reels Plus. Naga Chaitanya was least interested in the previous film and Parasuram announced a film with Vijay Deverakonda that will be produced by Dil Raju.

14 Reels Plus has two proposals: Either to share profits in Vijay Deverakonda and Dil Raju’s film or they are demanding a compensation from Parasuram for the paid advance along with the interest. The issue already reached the Producers Guild. Allu Aravind and Geetha Arts too are in plans to take back their advance paid to Parasuram along with the interests. Parasuram will have to repay for the two productions houses if he is going ahead with Vijay’s film. 14 Reels Plus also has a film with Karthi and if the project happens soon, Parasuram need not pay the compensation. There are enough troubles for Parasuram as of now and he needs to sort them out before focusing completely on his next project.

After a prolonged delay, director Parusuram has come up with two big projects. One is with Vijay Deverakonda in Dil Raju’s production and the second project is with Tamil hero Karthi. Parasuram has taken 10 Cr as a fee for his blockbuster film Geetha Govindham. Later for Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Parasuram charged 13Cr.

Now the latest buzz is that Parasuram has quoted Rs 15cr as his remuneration for Vijay Deverakonda’s film and 20cr for Karthi’s film. Oopiri was Karthi’s first straight Telugu film and he is going to expand his market in Telugu with this. Karthi also will be charging more than his regular remuneration for Parasuram’s film. Karthi – Parasuram project will take off earlier than Vijay Deverakonda’s. More details about the film are yet to be known.

Tollywood director Parasuram delivered Sarkaru Vaari Paata in the recent times. He has been in talks with Naga Chaitanya but the film got shelved due to unknown reasons. Parasuram recently met Vijay Deverakonda and the project was announced recently. But the project needs a long time to take off as Vijay Deverakonda is busy with other projects. As per the update, Parasuram met Tamil actor Karthi recently and they decided to collaborate for a film.

Karthi has been keen to work with Telugu directors for some time. Karthi loved the plot narrated by Parasuram and he gave his initial nod. If everything goes well, the film will be the 25th film of Karthi. As per the update, Parasuram and Karthi film will happen only after Parasuram completes Vijay Deverakonda’s film. Parasuram directed impressive films like Solo, Srirasthu Subhamasthu and Geetha Govindam in the past. Writing is his biggest strength. But Parasuram failed to handle star actors in his career. He worked with Ravi Teja twice in Anjaneyulu and Sarocharu. Both these films ended up as average flicks. The basic plots are well penned but Parasuram failed to handle the star actors. The same is the case with his recent film Sarkaru Vaari Paata which featured Mahesh Babu in the lead role. Sarkaru Vaari Paata had an impressive plot.

Parasuram handled the first half of the film which is laced with loads of entertainer. The common audience are left impressed with the second half but it should have been better. Parasuram is all set to direct Naga Chaitanya in his next. The talented director is all set to return back to his favorite genre. The film would be a light-hearted entertainer with all the needed family emotions. Parasuram has been successful in this genre and Naga Chaitanya too is keen to feature in a family entertainer. The project starts rolling soon and 14 Reels Plus are the producers.

Talented director Parasuram directed a decent bunch of films. His last outing Geetha Govindam ended up as a massive hit after which several producers rushed to sign projects with him. He recently announced his next film that would feature Naga Chaitanya in the lead role. 14 Reels Plus is on board to produce this romantic entertainer. Veteran producer BVSN Prasad paid an advance of Rs 25 lakhs in 2008.

Parasuram is yet to honor his commitment till date. With the latest announcement, BVSN Prasad approached the Film Chamber of Commerce demanding a hefty return instead of doing a film with Parasuram. BVSN Prasad is said to have been demanding Rs 6 crores in return for the advance paid. 14 Reels Plus and Naga Chaitanya are left puzzled with the jolt. They asked Parasuram to resolve the issue at the earliest. Else, the film would be shelved.

There are talks that a couple of other producers who paid advances for Parasuram too are in plans to approach the director to return back their advance amounts.

Director Parasuram has received about Rs 9 Cr amount for ‘Geetha Govindam’. Producer Allu Aravind gave such a huge amount after the movie became a massive blockbuster. Rs 9 Cr is the total amount of a share in the total profits plus remuneration. Since then Parasauram is demanding Rs 10 crore paycheck for his next movie but producers are worried about this high demand.

Had he convinced Mahesh Babu with his script, the producers would have happily paid him such huge remuneration. But Mahesh Babu didn’t like his story. He later approached Bunny and Ram Charan as well. They refused to do his movie immediately as they are busy with other commitments. He is now approaching medium-range stars like Chaitanya and Nani.

These medium-range stars are also taking Rs 9 to 10 Cr remuneration. If Parasuram also demands the same amount, the project is not viable. This could be one of the reasons why he was not able to bring his movie to the sets even after delivering such a massive blockbuster with ‘Geetha Govindam’. He has lost more than a year on his trials.

He built a dream house in Hyderabad in the meantime.

Director Parasuram is on cloud nine after his latest offering Geetha Govindam garnered thumping response from audience in all areas. The Solo director’s quest to bag a box office blockbuster seems to have finally ended with Vijay Devarakonda. This success will definitely be a shot in the arm for Parasuram’s career.

Meanwhile, rumours are rife that Parasuram will soon direct a film with Manchu hero. Few reports have claimed that Parasuram took advance from Manchu family and will start working for the project very soon. However, this is discarded as a fake news by close sources to Parasuram.

Parasuram will next work with Mythri Movie Makers and Geetha Arts for big ticket films. He is currently enjoying the success of Geetha Govindham and will formally announce his next project in a couple of months.
