Dil Raju unhappy with Family Star Budget

Top producer managed to repeat the combo of Geetha Govindam and the family entertainer is titled Family Star. The film was planned on a strict budget and Vijay Deverakonda, Parasuram decided to share the profits instead of taking huge remunerations. But the film’s budget increased by over Rs 20 crores during the making. The film’s producer Dil Raju is quite furious about the over budget of the film. This is huge for a film like Family Star as it is a family entertainer.

The number of working days have increased during the making. Some of the key portions are shot in USA and the production team could not have a control on the final budget. Family Star is carrying good expectations and the film is aimed for April 5th release. With several holidays around and summer season, the film has a great chance to fare well in theatres. April also doesn’t have biggies lined up this year. Family Star will have a massive release and if the film fares well, the hiked budget would not be a problem for the team.

Mrunal Thakur is the leading lady and Gopi Sundar composed the music. Sri Venkateswara Creations are the producers.

Dil Raju steps out for Parasuram

After the release of Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Parasuram Petla had to work with 14 Reels Plus but the project was kept on hold due to various reasons. He impressed Vijay Deverakonda with a script and the Geetha Govindam combo is back in the production house of Dil Raju. Geetha Arts and 14 Reels Plus have paid handsome advances for Parasuram long ago and the production houses approached the Producers Guild recently after Vijay and Parasuram film announcement was made. Vijay Deverakonda and Parasuram’s film will kick-start the shoot once Vijay is done with the shoot of Kushi. The final budgets of the projects are locked.

Dil Raju stepped out to clear all the issues. Parasuram has to repay close to Rs 20 crores for 14 Reels Plus and Geetha Arts. Dil Raju has given a word to Parasuram and he is ready to clear the dues before the shoot of their project commences. This would also be deducted from the remuneration of Parasuram. The film is said to be a family entertainer and the shooting portions would be wrapped up in quick schedules. More details awaited.

Vijay Deverakonda Locks Geetha Govindam Combo

Vijay Deverakonda recently announced VD12 which will be directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri. And he has now announced another project and this time around, he is collaborating with the man who gave him a blockbuster with Geetha Govindam.

Yes, that’s right. Vijay is set to collaborate with Parasuram, who had previously directed Vijay’s blockbuster Geetha Govindam. A project in this combination was announced a little while ago.

This project will be produced under SVC Creations by Dil Raju and Shirish. It will be produced on a grand scale and will have a theatrical release in multiple languages.

More details about the cast and crew will be out soon after the shoot commences. The pre production is in full swing now and more promotional material will follow soon.

After Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata, director Parasuram is working on a script for Naga Chaitanya. The duo met several times and the young actor suggested changes for the script. There are strong speculations that the project is now kept on hold. Parasuram is now holding talks with Vijay Deverakonda for a film. The duo worked for super hit film Geetha Govindam in the past. Dil Raju arranged the meeting recently and Parasuram is yet to narrate the script to Vijay Deverakonda. Sri Venkateswara Creations will produce this prestigious project if things materialize.

Vijay Deverakonda is in plans to resume the shoot of Kushi directed by Shiva Nirvana. The team is waiting for the arrival of Samantha and 40 days of shoot is left pending. Vijay Deverakonda also signed a film in the direction of Gowtam Tinnanuri and the film starts rolling soon. Sithara Entertainments are the producers.

‘SVP’ director’s defence of controversial scene faces backlash

‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata,’ starring Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh, is currently at the top of the box office charts, but a few scenes from the film have received a lot of backlashes.

Parasuram, the director, who stands by his work, has an odd explanation for a particular scene in the film that has piqued everyone’s interest.

In ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata,’ director Parasuram Petla has justified Mahesh Babu’s rom-com track in which he forces a ‘Leg Hug’ on his estranged girlfriend Keerthy Suresh.

When asked about it, Parasuram gives an odd explanation that has sparked a lot of debate on social media.

Parasuram has sentimentalised the scenes in which Mahesh intentionally irritates the heroine by blackmailing her into submitting to his whims.

The context in reference here is Mahesh and Keerthy’s scenes in the second half, in which the former forces the latter to spend every night with him.

The scenes, according to Parasuram, are not at all vulgar. They are, in fact, spiritual, as far as the ‘Geetha Govindam’ director is concerned.

“What exactly is the issue with that scene? In my opinion, it’s similar to a child wanting to sleep with his mother”, Parasuram stated.

“Wouldn’t Mahesh opt out of those scenes by himself if there was a hint of vulgarity in them?” the director added.

This odd explanation by the captain himself has left everyone confused.

Director Parasuram Petla, who is awaiting the release of his much-anticipated film ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata,’ thanked ‘Acharya’ director Koratala Siva at the film’s pre-release event.

The film’s pre-release event in Yusufguda, Hyderabad, which was held in grand style earlier, saw a gala, star-studded evening. Parasuram Petla spoke at the event and thanked Mahesh Babu for continuing to believe in the project.

“Director Koratala Siva assisted me in taking the story to Mahesh Babu,” Parasuram said at the event.

The ‘Geetha Govindam’ director then said, “First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to him. When I first went to tell Mahesh Babu the story, I was terrified. A smile appeared on his face after five minutes of narration. I’ll be eternally grateful to him for believing in me.”

‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ stars Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles, and will hit the screens on May 12.

Parasuram Petla to soon direct actor Naga Chaitanya for his next

Director Parasuram Petla, who is currently awaiting the release of the much-anticipated film ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata,’ will soon direct actor Naga Chaitanya, as the two have long wanted to collaborate.

The duo, who was supposed to work together before ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’, could not do so, due to the pandemic.

Parasuram then rolled his project with Mahesh Babu, as Naga Chaitanya got busy with other projects.

Now that Parasuram Petla is prepping up with the script, he will soon direct Naga Chaitanya.

Chaitanya, on the other hand, is shooting for his current project, which is a supernatural horror called ‘Dhootha’.

Directed by Vikram K Kumar for Amazon Prime Video, the web series will be released later this year.

‘Thank You,’ Chaitanya’s next film, directed by Vikram K Kumar, will be released this year.

Chaitanya has a prominent role in the Hindi film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, alongside Aamir Khan.

Chaitanya is also collaborating with Vikram Prabhu on a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.

Director Parasuram assures that he will not disappoint fans and movie buffs. “You will know only after watching the movie that why Mahesh Babu has given me the opportunity, when there are many star directors ready to make films with him. He liked the story and his character. He gave his best and fans will surprise to see him in such a dynamic character. Everyone will also be stunned to see amazing dances of Mahesh Babu.”

Parasuram clarifies that Mahesh Babu is not a bank or other government official in the movie. He also clears air saying it won’t talk about any person or system.

The director says the script was meant only for Mahesh Babu and it’s almost like a dream come true for him to direct a star like Mahesh Babu.

He informs Keerthy Suresh’s character will also have good importance. “My films usually have significance for heroines. Likewise, Keerthy Suresh’s role is very important and she played her part wonderfully.”

Parasuram says neither he nor Mahesh Babu didn’t want to make it as a Pan India film, though they are releasing the movie grandly in Telugu language across the globe.
