Prabhas and Pooja Hegde-starrer ‘Radhe Shyam’ is one of the most-anticipated upcoming movies. With all the hype around it, Prabhas’s introduction teaser which highlighted his role as ‘Vikramaditya’ in the movie was well-received by the audience.

As the movie is wrapped up with the talkie part, the makers are trying to kickstart the promotions, so as to keep up with the existing hype around the release of ‘Radhe Shyam’. The team is planning to release another teaser.

The second teaser from the makers of ‘Radhe Shyam’ would introduce the female lead Pooja Hegde’s role in the pan-India movie. Editors are on duty, so as to cut a special teaser, which is to be unveiled on the auspicious day of Diwali. Pooja Hegde’s looks from the poster have already kept the hype sky-high. Now that a teaser is being made to introduce her role, her fans are excited.

‘Radhe Shyam’ is touted to be a romantic tale, imbibed with thriller elements. Prabhas plays a palmist in this upcoming thriller, as referred to in the teaser released earlier.

‘Radhe Shyam’ is all set for a huge release in January, to compete with other Telugu biggies ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’, ‘Bheemla Nayak’, ‘RRR’, and ‘Bangarraju’.

Most eligible bachelor movie review

Akhil Akkineni will have an acid test with ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’. The film marks the comeback of Bommarillu Baskar as director and Pooja Hegde is the leading lady.Gopi Sundar’s music is a great support and Most Eligible Bachelor has several renowned actors in other important roles. ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’ is hitting the screens on October 15th in India,Oct 14th in USA. GA2 Pictures are the producers.

Story :

Harsha (Akhil) is a financially secure, well settled bachelor from New York City. He goes on twenty days trip to India to attend multiple match making events with hopes of eventually finding a bride for himself. Growing up in a joint family with traditional roots, he has a typical old school set of expectations for his future life partner. He meets Vibha (Pooja), a stand-up comedian by profession, with intriguing new age expectations when comes to a life partner. He falls for her and we have the rest of the movie showcasing his attempts to win her.

Analysis:

Initially, the film is fun. Director Bhaskar succeeded in generating situational comedy in the guise of Harsha’s ‘Pelli Choopulu’ series of episodes. Harsha’s interactions with Vibha, getting tips to woo girls is very engaging. ‘Guche Gulabi ’,’ Leharaayi ‘ songs placement, tunes and picturization are good. The scenes between Akhil and Murali Sharma are appealing as well. Exploring different sets of expectations from today’s youth when comes to their future life partners, is a great story point, but after a while it starts to get a bit boring as it is stretched thin all the way to end of the movie. A few illogical scenes like filing a court case for rejecting marriage proposal, brokering a business deal based on pretend romantic advances further bring the movie down a notch.

The move has similar shades as the Orange movie (also from the same director) and has plot resemblances with a small Telugu film ‘Shaadi Mubarak’. Bommarillu Bhaskar focused on delivering entertainment and didn’t care about any story or emotions. The chemistry between the lead pair is non-existent. In the second half, there are many preachy scenes which test the audience patience.

The production values by GA2 banner are very good. Gopi Sundar’s music is melodious.

Performances:

Akhil acted with ease, showed more maturity in performance than his previous ones. However, looks wise this film might not be his best. Pooja Hegde is excellent in looks, performed well as Vibha. Murali Sharma, Pragati roles delivered some fun moments.

Positives:
1. Two hit songs
2. Lighter vein first half
3. Good visuals

Negatives:

1. Wafer thin storyline
2. Redundant discussion about qualities of a life partner
3. Preachy, slow paced second half

Verdict:

‘Most Eligible Bachelor’ with its wafer-thin story line, ends up presenting a cliché definition to “Romance”. A disappointing second half negates the entertaining first half. Two good songs and overall lighter vein approach might be enough to a limited section of youngsters. At its best, this is an average film.

Pooja Hegde, who now awaits the theatrical release of her upcoming film, ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’, is receiving praise from south Indian filmmakers for her performance.

After watching the film, producer Dil Raju said, “We’ve first seen glamour in Pooja but slowly she started working on her character and by working on it she became a super performer. Being glamorous and a performer – very few heroines have this and Pooja did that in this movie.”

Producer Allu Aravind said, “Pooja, my love as ever, though you’ve done it (performed well) in my films and though you’ve done it before, the best you did in this (‘Most Eligible Bachelor’). I could not stop myself and I approached you and informed you that I liked your performance.”

Filmmaker Hari Shankar, Bommarillu Bhaskar, Bunny Vasu, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni were among those who spoke highly of the actress at the event.

Despite his looks, perfect dance moves, and decent acting skills, Akhil’s previous movies didn’t give him a single hit. So, Akhil Akkineni is in dire need of a decent hit now. Touted as a family entertainer, ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’ has grabbed the attention of all.

“She’s really a workaholic. She used to manage from one movie shoot to another – six movies in different languages – Telugu, Hindi, Tamil. She used to travel a lot from one place to another. She’s a really hard-working person and I really appreciate that,” says Akhil about Pooja, who has films in multiple languages under production

In their upcoming film, Pooja’s character will be seen doing stand-up comedy.

“Definitely, she (Pooja) took this as a challenge and I remember that while she was in the shoot for those stand-up comedian scenes, she used to be more enthusiastic and passionate to do something new. She used to be very channelized and very energetic walking around the sets to know what was happening around her. She really gave her heart for her character,” says the actor.

Directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’ will release on October 15.
