With less than a week left for the release of RRR, its team is promoting the movie with back to back events.

Team RRR has landed in Bengaluru straight from Dubai to attend a gala pre-release event being hosted by KVN Productions, the Karnataka distributor.

KVN is thrilled about acquiring RRR release rights for Karnataka. It is treating the movie’s team in a special way and has invited top guns of Kannada society including the CM of the state to the pre-release event.

The much awaited multistarrer RRR helmed by ace director S S Rajamouli with NTR Junior and Ram Charan in the lead is slated to hit the screens across the world in multiple languages on March 25, 2022.

RRR produced by DVV Entertainment has Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson and Shriya Saran playing supporting roles. Music is by M M Keeravani.

In one of the recent promotional videos of ‘RRR’, whose release is a week away, S.S. Rajamouli, the film’s director, Ram Charan and Jr NTR are seen having a casual chat, where the two stars admit that they were upset by the helmsman’s lack of empathy while on the sets.

The actors complained that they had to deal with the tough demands of Rajamouli, who is known to be a no-nonsense man, on the sets of the movie.

“Rajamouli does not show any empathy while on the sets. Even if Charan or I had small issues, he would make us join the shoot, and complete the task,” NTR complained.

In response, Rajamouli said: “I have to control myself not to show empathy. If I start showing empathy and stop the show even for one day, it will cause a huge damage to the production house.”

Ram Charan, on his part, admitted that there was a time when he got irked by Rajamouli’s behaviour.

“I was not feeling well and Rajamouli still wanted me to come down and start shooting. He said that a thousand people have come down to work on the sets, so it will be a waste of money if I didn’t show up,” Ram Charan recalled.

This is quite lengthy considering the current trend. The runtime of Baahubali: The Beginning was 2 hours and 39 minutes and for Baahubali: The Conclusion, the runtime was 2 hours and 47 minutes. The runtime is never a barrier for those films that are high on content. Rajamouli is a master in impressing the audience with his narration and the lengthy runtime cannot be a problem for RRR.

RRR Budget revealed Officially

RRR is made on a huge budget and the film’s release was pushed due to the ongoing coronavirus. The release was delayed by months and the interests heaped up. There are a lot of speculations about the film’s budget. The makers of RRR submitted the budget of RRR for the AP government to get the benefit of ticket hike in the state. The makers mentioned that they spent Rs 336 crores on the film excluding the remunerations of the lead actors and the actresses. AP Cinematography Minister Perni Nani revealed the same to the media and he said that the respective departments will scrutiny the documents after which the final decision would be taken.

The new GO for RRR will be issued after the verification of the submitted documents is done. AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy will take the final call as per the report told Perni Nani. GO 13 issued in AP says that the ticket prices can be hiked for ten days for those which are made on a budget of Rs 100 crores excluding the remunerations. But RRR is shot and completed before the GO is issued. Hence the makers applied for AP government to hike the ticket prices. RRR is hitting the screens on March 25th and NTR, Ram Charan played the roles of freedom fighters in this periodic drama.

YouTuber Bhuvan Bam returned with a new episode of his much-loved chat show ‘Titu Talks’ on Tuesday. The episode features the team of the upcoming magnum opus ‘RRR’ – director S. S. Rajamouli along with stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan.

The show sees Bhuvan Bam portray a character called Titu Mama from the Bhuvan Bam universe. The character, who is known for his candor and wit, engaged with the stars of ‘RRR’ through a fun filled and unfiltered conversation, with Titu Mama throwing the most unexpected questions at them.

Speaking about his experience, Bhuvan Bam said “It is one of my greatest honours to have Rajamouli Sir, Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the same room as I. We had a great time shooting together, it was like meeting old friends and reminiscing great memories (sic).”

“Titu Mama is amazed to have caught these icons in their most candid self, funny and an absolute delight, and I cannot wait for everyone to watch the episode”, he added.

The makers of RRR are spending lavishly on the promotions and the film’s producer DVV Danayya and Rajamouli’s son Karthikeya flew to Dubai to finalize the venue of a grand event planned in the country. After the release of RRR got delayed, the Dubai event got pushed. With RRR hitting the screens on March 25th, the makers are all set to kick-start the promotions. The Dubai event will take place on March 18th and all the major cast, crew members will fly to Dubai for the grand pre-release event.

‘RRR’ social media promotion resumes with Snapchat filter

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s much-hyped pan-India film ‘RRR’ has introduced a Snapchat filter featuring the film’s title as part of its second promotional phase.

As part of their online promotions, the producers of ‘RRR’ have also launched a new Snapchat filter, which reads, ‘maRRRch is here’. A filter indicates that ‘RRR’s’ release month has arrived.

The movie’s Twitter handle posted, “How many of you use @Snapchat?”, subtly nudging their followers to start using the fun filter on Snapchat.

It is also reported that the team will start interacting with the media, so as to keep up the existing hype around the movie’s release.

“We made him run barefoot in the dense forests of Bulgaria. That shot was for Tarak’s (Jr Ntr) introductory shot in ‘RRR’. He ran like a tiger. That is the only way I can possibly define his ferociousness”, the ‘Magadheera’ director said.

Rajamouli, who also highlighted Ram Charan’s acting skills. “After wrapping up a shot with Ram Charan, I had tears in my eyes”, he said.

Rajamouli, who also has become closer to the duo, said that he now shares a special bond with Jr NTR and Ram Charan, which was what made it more special to shoot with them.

‘RRR’ features Jr NTR in the role of the revolutionary ‘Gond’ hero Komaram Bheem. On the other hand, Ram Charan plays Alluri Sitarama Raju, who is one of the unsung heroes during the freedom struggle in India.

The makers of RRR have announced several release dates but the film failed to hit the screens due to various reasons. Due to the ongoing third wave, the film’s release is pushed from January 7th. RRR is the most awaited Indian film and the theatrical, non-theatrical rights of the film are sold for record prices. Top production and distribution house Pen Studios holds the Hindi theatrical rights along with the non-theatrical rights of RRR. There are a lot of discussions going on about the digital release of the film. Several biggies made it to the digital platforms in just a month after the theatrical release. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios revealed that RRR will not have its digital release soon.

“RRR is a film that should be watched in theatres. The film will not release on any digital platform in 30 days. We are thinking to release it between 75 and 90 days after its theatrical release” told Jayantilal Gada. This is a huge boost for the film’s theatrical run for sure.
