Story :

Virupaksha film story happens in the year 1979 and in 1991 at Rudravanam. In 1979 The villagers burn a couple alive suspecting they are practicing black magic. The dying couple put a curse that the entire village will die by the next pushkaram. Fast forward to 1991, to counter the series of deaths happening in the village, Ashta Digbhandhanam has been set up. Still, the mysterious deaths continue, and Surya ( Sai Dharam Tej) gets into action to find who is causing the deaths. The rest of the story is what he finds has been revealed in gripping twists

Analysis :

Typically horror genre films follow a template story with some fresh or repeated add-on elements to thrill the audience. In Virupaksha, you will see an afresh and a good amount of story. Though the backdrop is familiar, the story has depth, the script is tightly written and the sound design cinematography, etc. technical elements are good. The young director Karthik Varma Dandu comes up with an expansive story and he was well supported by the technical team. In the First half hero and heroine’s introduction and their love track ( ?) are boring. The villager’s series of deaths and apparent crying make it boring for half an hour so cumulatively. Once the crux elements of the story unfold in first half, around pre-interval, the film shifts to top gear. From then onwards, twists and thrills backed by visual effects will keep the audience engaging. The Tantrik part is gripping. Hero Surya’s ( Sai Dharam Tej) role is passive in the first half and takes center stage only in the second. Sai is adequate in action episodes. Nandini’s ( Samyuktha Menon ) characterization stands out. Samyukhta performed in Nandini’s role very well. Sunil, Rajiv Kanakala, Brahmaji, and Saichand played important roles. Apparently, they are impressive. Suneel characterization is a half-baked one. His partial villainy has no purpose. Kamal Kamaraju plays the key character.

Shamdat Sainudeen’s cinematography sets up the spooky village ambience very well. The lighting work in horror scenes is impressive. Ajaneesh Loknath’s background score is good but the songs are not great. The best part of the technical team is Sound design. The entire team must be appreciated for their work. DTS Mixing by Raja Krishnan is top-class. There is some visual effects work in pre-climax and climax episodes which have been dealt well given the budget.

Verdict: Virupaksha is an impressive spooky film worth watching on BIG SCREEN. This kind of originality in the story is not seen often in Telugu. The script and technical department’s prowess make this film a success. Go and Watch it

Supreme hero Sai Dharam Tej’s upcoming film Virupaksha has caught a fair amount of buzz in the last few days. It is a mystic thriller directed by Karthik Dandu. Already released trailer of the film promises a chilling mystic thriller. Virupaksha is produced by BVSN Prasad under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings. Samyuktha Menon is the lead actress.

Yesterday makers held a grand pre release event in Eluru and director Sukumar attended the event as chief guest. The director and co-producer of Virupaksha explained the brave efforts of team along with Sai Dharam Tej hard work after the accident. He said “I still remember the first day he joined sets after accident, he was unable to utter words. It’s like a rebirth as an actor and by learning each word he completed the film

He added “Coming to technical team, Sham’s visuals are incredible. If this film is a success, he will receive a lot of credit. Ajaneesh did an excellent job with the RR and sound design. Nagendra’s sets were stunning. They didn’t look like sets because they were so real. Samyukta was fluent in Telugu.”

Sunil, Rajeev Kanakala, Jhansi and Brahmaji are going to be seen in lead roles. The technical crew of the film includes Shamdat Sainudeen for cinematography and Navin Nooli for editing. ‘Virupaksha’ is all set to hit the screens on April 21, 2023.

PKSDT gets an official release date

Pawan Kalyan and Sai Tej are working together in Samuthirakani’s direction for a Tamil remake. The film is tentatively titled PKSDT. Filming for Pawan Kalyan-Sai Dharam Tej multistarrer to start on July 12

The heroes from Tollywood’s “mega” family will appear together in Samuthirakhani’s Tamil film ‘Vinodhaya Sitham,’ which is reportedly being made in Telugu.

According to current talks, the film will feature Sai Dharam Tej and his uncle Pawan Kalyan in the lead roles and will get on the floors very soon.

The official Telugu remake of ‘Vinodhaya Sitham’ will start its regular production on July 12, as per the newest talk from the folks.

While Samuthirakani will direct the movie, ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramu Loo’ director Trivikram Srinivas will pen the screenplay and dialogues for the multi-starrer. The movie will be funded by People Media Factory, a well-known Telugu production company, with Vivek Kuchibhotla serving as producer.

Pawan Kalyan was last spotted in ‘Bheemla Nayak’, alongside Rana Daggubati. The actor is now working on a number of projects, one of which is a mythological drama titled ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’.

Sai Dharam Tej is back, given royal reception on sets

Down for months after he suffered serious injuries in a road mishap late last year, just days ahead of the release of Republic, Sai Dharam Tej has recuperated from it and has commenced shooting for his next flick.

Bankrolled by BVSN Prasad and Sukumar B on Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra (SVCC) and Sukumar Writings banners, the thriller is directed by Karthik Dandu. Shamdat Sainudeen will take care of the cinematography.

The movie got an auspicious kickstart with muhurath on Monday and everyone present on the sets gave a warm welcome to SDT. Deeply touched by the gesture, the actor thanked one and all.

In a recent video statement, the actor thanked everyone who prayed for his speedy reocovery and wished him on social media like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. He also thanked his staff members who supported him in big way.

The actor then passed on an important awareness message to all bike-riders. Showing the helmet that saved him, he said, “I am now alive and speaking with you thanks to this. Don’t forget to wear headgear whenever you go somewhere on bike, even if it is your next stret. Love you all, Jai Hind.”

In a video statement, the actor thanked everyone who prayed for his speedy reocovery and wished him on social media like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. He also thanked his staff members who supported him in big way.

Expressing gratitude to Telugu fans for their immense support to Republic, Sai Dharam Tej said the shoot of his next film will start March 28. “I sincerely thank my producers Sukumar and Baapineedu. They waited for me till I am completely reocvered,” he added.

The actor then passed on an important awareness message to all bike-riders. Showing the helmet that saved him, he said, “I am now alive and speaking with you thanks to this. Don’t forget to wear headgear whenever you go somewhere on bike, even if it is your next street. Love you all, Jai Hind.”

It is confirmed that Trivikram planned one more quick film for Pawan Kalyan and the movie is the remake of Tamil blockbuster Vinodhaya Sitham. Trivikram supervised the scriptwork and Samuthirakani is on board to direct this interesting film. The latest buzz says that Supreme Star Sai Dharam Tej will be seen in one more lead role in this untitled film. Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram held discussions and decided to go ahead with Sai Dharam Tej.

People Media Factory in association with Pawan Kalyan Creative Works and Trivikram’s Fortune Four Cinemas will bankroll this film. An official announcement is expected this month and the shoot commences in March. Pawan Kalyan has to resume Krish’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu and he signed Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh in the direction of Harish Shankar.

Legal notice issued to Sai Dharam Tej in bike accident case

Telugu actor Sai Dharam Tej received a legal notice regarding his bike accident that took place on Durgam Cheruvu in Hyderabad earlier in September.

A case under section 912 of CrPC was registered, as per Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Stephen Ravindra, while disclosing the crime report of Cyberabad on Monday.

The Commissioner of Police said that the actor was asked to submit his documents – driving licence, RC, insurance, and pollution papers. The actor failed to submit his documents, which has landed him in trouble.

“So far, we haven’t received any response from the actor and a charge sheet will be filed if there is no reaction from the actor,” Ravindra said.

Sai Dharam Tej, who has acted in movies like ‘Supreme’, ‘Subramanyam For Sale’, ‘Winner’, and others, had met with an accident in September. The actor managed to survive the near-fatal accident.

The actor landed in a private hospital, and it took him more than a month to recover from the injuries caused by the accident.

The commissioner also conveyed that around 759 people lost their lives in road accidents in 2021.

“However, the number of deaths decreased compared to last year. There were 212 accidents caused by drunk driving, and fines of Rs 4.5 crore were collected during the drunk driving inspection,” Stephen said.

“Moreover, 9,981 licences were suspended for driving under the influence of alcohol,” the Commissioner informed.
