Nayanthara, Samantha, Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘KRK’ coming to OTT

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Tamil film ‘Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal’, co-starring Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, was critically panned in Telugu. Now the movie is set for its OTT release.

In Tamil, however, the film found an audience, as it was a decent hit, unlike in Telugu. Seven Screen Studios, the film’s producers, claim that the film was profitable, despite the flop-talk in the Telugu states.

The makers of ‘Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal’ are said to have struck a lucrative deal with Disney for the OTT release. According to the latest information, the film will be available for OTT streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on the May 27.

‘KRK’ is a triangular love story directed by Vignesh Shivan, with music by Anirudh.

Because SJ Surah’s directorial ‘Kushi’ (2001), starring Bhumika Chawla as the female lead, is an irreplaceable classic in Pawan’s career and is beloved by his fans, the adaptation of the same title has sparked a backlash.

Getting a hold of a classic title amid huge expectations has been an even bigger problem, as the first look poster has received mixed reviews as well. Vijay’s outfits reveal an odd sense of style, irking Pawan’s fans and other general audiences as well.

Pawan’s fans have been discussing the same on social media as they express their dissatisfaction over Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Kushi’ title.

Stage set for release of first glimpse of Samantha-starrer ‘Yashoda’

The first glimpse of Samantha-starrer ‘Yashoda’, will be out on Thursday, as announced by the makers on the occasion of Ramzan.

The first ‘glimpse,’ described as a woman-centric sci-fi thriller, will be released on May 5 at 11.07 a.m.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu plays the lead in ‘Yashoda,’ a film written and directed by Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan.

Tamil actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will play an important role, while Samantha’s role is said to be a titular one with a woman-centric theme in the story, while Unni Mukundan will have a major role in ‘Yashoda’ as well.

‘Yashoda’ is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banner Sridevi Movies.

The technical team of Yashoda includes Mani Sharma and M. Sukumar as music composer and cinematographer, respectively.

Meanwhile, the film has been cleared for release with a clean U/A certificate.

The film, which has triggered huge expectations, has Vijay Sethupathi playing a character called Rambo, which is actually an acronym for Ranjankudi Anbarasu Murugesa Boopathy Ohoondhiran. While Nayanthara plays a character called Kanmani in the film, Samantha plays Khatija.

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu reportedly underwent “body language training”, months before the start of her upcoming magnum opus ‘Shakuntalam.’

She is said to have trained for three months in order to fit into the ‘classical’ mode of her role Shakuntala in the mythological drama helmed by ‘Rudramadevi’ fame Gunasekhar.

General postures, graceful gait, and gestures associated with mythological characters are all part of the training, the source added.

Gunasekhar’s Shakuntalam has been the cynosure of all eyes, as the producers gear up to release the movie by the end of the year.

‘Shakuntalam’ is said to be director Gunasekhar’s dream project, inspired by the ‘Adi Parva’ in The Mahabharat and based on Kalidas’ ‘Abhignana Shakuntalam’.

In this mythological entertainer, Samantha plays Shakuntala and Dev Mohan plays King Dushyant, while actor Kabir Singh Duhan will be seen in as King Asura.

Samantha is known to have three tattoos, all of which are related to her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya. Samantha’s first tattoo reads ‘YMC,’ which is an abbreviation for Sam and Naga’s first film together, ‘Ye Maaya Chesave.

The second tattoo, which reads ‘Chay,’ is inked on her right rib, while the third tattoo is more unique, as both Chaitu and Samantha inked the same tattoo of two arrows on their forearms.
