CM favouring Gujarat firms to escape from cases: TDP

1

The opposition parties have launched a direct attack on the Jaganmohan Reddy regime on the issue of expansion of Amul Dairy activities in all parts of Andhra Pradesh. The TDP has termed it as a desperate attempt by the Chief Minister to use the good services of the Gujarat based companies to escape from the CBI and ED cases.

Ex Minister Alapati Raja termed it as laughable that Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy was promising to protect the AP dairy farmers’ interests while conspiring to destroy the AP-based cooperative dairies. The CM should answer to the public why his Government was not showing the same sort of enthusiasm to protect the interests of the State’s own dairies. Why was undue patronage given to a dairy company of a different State?

The TDP leaders posed many questions to the ruling party. Why was the Chief Minister showing special love and affection for Amul? Only to save himself from the CBI and ED cases, Mr. Jagan Reddy was handing over all the public properties and private companies of AP to the Gujarat-based industrialists. There was a need to promote the 13 cooperative and 7 private dairies in the State if the Government had any concern for the well being of the AP dairy farmers.

The TDP leader termed it as unfortunate and objectionable that the AP Government itself was spending Rs. 6,551 Cr of public funds to provide basic infrastructure for a private company like Amul.

High Court gives bail to Sangam Dairy Chairman

1

Giving one more shock to the YSRCP regime, the High Court of Andhra Pradesh has granted bail to Sangam Dairy Chairman and former TDP leader Dhulipalla Narendra. Bail was also given to Sangam Dairy Managing Director Gopalakrishnan. The court ordered them to submit sureties.

The HC however ordered Mr. Narendra and Mr. Gopalakrishnan to remain available within the Vijayawada Corporation limits for the next four weeks. They should provide their address in Vijayawada to the investigating officers. The police can call them for questioning with a 24 hours prior notice to them.

As of now, Mr. Narendra was receiving treatment while in judicial custody at a private hospital in Rajahmundry. He got infected with the Coronavirus infection while in jail. He was arrested on April 23 on the charges of mismanaging the properties of the Sangam Dairy in the Guntur district.

Ever since additional Advocate General Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy ‘behaved threateningly’ before a judges bench, the Jagan Reddy regime has been getting adverse judgements one by one from both the High Court and the Supreme Court. The YCP leaders were unusually silent in a departure from their past track record of making abusive comments against the courts’ judgements.

High Court double shock to AP Govt on Sangam

1

The division bench of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh refused to stay the order of the single judge on the issue of the taking over of the Sangam Dairy management by the State Government. Earlier, Justice Somayajulu ruled that the Government’s taking over of the Sangam properties was unconstitutional and in violation of the laws of the land.

The Government challenged the single judge order before the division bench of the High Court. The division bench made it clear that it would not deem it correct to interfere with the single judge order at this juncture. It would have to go into the details if it really needed to consider the Government’s claim that it was interfering only to save the properties which were being misused by the present management.

The division bench comprising Justice Praveen Kumar and Justice Lalita said that they would like to uphold the single judge order for now, saying that the Government had no powers to take over the management of the dairy unilaterally. The original management should be allowed to take its own decisions.

Finally, the High Court postponed the next hearing till after the summer vacation. The court ignored the advocate general’s argument that the dairy properties would be misused if the Government did not interfere.

HC suspends Jagan GO on Sangam dairy takeover

1

The High Court of Andhra Pradesh has taken a serious view of the manner in which the State Government has taken over the management of the Sangam Dairy in the Guntur district. After hearing both sides, the HC suspended the GO issued by the Jaganmohan Reddy regime to meddle in the affairs of Sangam. The court has also asked the Government to allow the directors of the dairy company to run their organisation as per their own decisions.

This was being seen as a big blow to the Government since it has already taken advance steps and made the Tenali Sub Collector to take over the dairy. Today’s court orders have totally reversed the process initiated by the Jagan regime. The Sangam Dairy directors have already said that their company was being weakened for the sake of helping the Amul Dairy Company with an ulterior motive.

The High Court also heard the petition for stopping the Government to sell the properties of the Sangam Dairy. It gave an instruction to the Government not to sell any properties without informing it.

The HC has also directed the ACB Court to hear the petition by Dhulipalla Narendra to quash the case filed by the ACB. It also ordered daily panchanama of the investigations being made by the ACB officials in the Sangam Dairy premises. The petitioners complained that the investigating police officials were passing over crucial information of Sangam to private persons.

Sangam dairy directors give shock to AP Govt

2

Everything is not going as per the expectations of the YCP Government with regard to the Sangam dairy issue. The Government is facing the biggest hurdle in convincing the directors of the dairy to support its decisions. Sangam dairy is not a private ltd company but a producers’ company which was formed under the Companies’ Act and under the supervision of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).

Now, the Sangam dairy directors are asking with what rights the Tenali Sub Collector could take over the management of their company in utter disregard for the laws. There are over 15 directors and majority of them are with Dhulipalla Narendra as of now. The Government has changed the chairman with the support of some directors but they are in a minority.

Again, the directors have also decided to approach the High Court seeking cancellation of GO 19 issued by the Jagan regime for transferring the management of Sangam dairy. Already, there is a case going on in the court based on the petition filed by Narendra for quashing the ACB case filed against him.

Even the Sangam dairy issue is getting stuck in multiple court cases now. The TDP is confident that the support of majority directors would be enough to teach a strong lesson to the YCP leaders in the court.

Govt brings new Chairman for Sangam dairy

0

The Jaganmohan Reddy Government is making quick moves to outwit rivals on the issue of taking over the Sangam dairy in the Guntur district. It is changing its strategies every few hours in order to gain an upper hand. Earlier, the Government issued GO removing the identity of Sangam dairy and the sub collector to take over the dairy. But soon, it has implemented a new strategy wherein a new Chairman is appointed.

The TDP has questioned the Government’s powers to interfere in the affairs of the Sangam dairy which is formed under the Companies Act. As if to overcome this, the ruling YCP leaders changed their game plan. An emergency meeting of the Sangam dairy directors was held at Chintalapudi in Ponnur mandal. Narra Venkata Krishna Prasad was elected as the new Chairman of Sangam dairy.

TDP leader and former Chairman of Sangam dairy Dhulipalla Narendra has been arrested and imprisoned. With the change of Chairman, the ruling YCP leaders are now bent on using the new management to carry out their plans.

Fast paced developments have taken place in Sangam dairy in just two days. The TDP is now making last ditch efforts to convince the directors and the societies in order to prevent the dairy from falling under the YCP influence.

GO issued to remove identity of Sangam dairy

3

The YCP government has launched a direct attack on the Sangam dairy after jailing its Chairman Dhulipalla Narendra. A GO has been issued to nullify the existence of Sangam as a whole. Its management has been transferred to the Guntur District Milk Producers Cooperative Society. For doing so, the Government has cancelled the permission given to Sangam dairy to function as a milk producers company.

Hastening the process, Tenali Sub Collector Mayur Ashok has visited the Sangam dairy premises already. He initiated the efforts to transfer the management of Sangam to the Guntur Coop Society. The Jagan Reddy GO has also named the Tenali Sub Collector as the incharge officer for this management changeover.

Interestingly, the latest GO is issued at a time when the Sangam dairy issue is being heard in the court. Dhulipalla Narendra has approached the court for relief from the arrest and also for allowing the Sangam dairy to function normally. In its usual style, the Government is making quick steps to outwit the rivals.

From the beginning, the ruling YCP has been aggressive and initiating court battles without the least hesitation. It is spending the public money while the Opposition is finding it difficult to continue the legal struggle.

YCP-TDP blame game begins on Sangam dairy

1

The arrest of Sangam Dairy Chairman Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar has triggered mutual allegations between the YCP and the TDP on a variety of issues. Immediately after the arrest, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu termed it as a conspiracy of the Jagan regime to hand over Sangam dairy as a whole to the Amul industry. Not just this, even the other cooperative dairies in Vijayawada and Vizag were being handed over to Amul on a golden platter.

On their party, the YCP leaders launched counter allegations saying that it was the TDP leaders who were robbing dairy farmers through the cooperative dairies. YCP MLA Kilari Rosaiah said that the TDP leaders looted 75 acres of land by creating false documents in the Sangam dairy.

The YCP MLA further asserted that their Chief Minister was trying to increase incomes for AP dairy farmers with the help of Amul industry. Whereas, the TDP leaders used the farmers cooperatives for their personal interests.

On the other hand, the TDP began blaming the Jagan Reddy Government for ‘handing over’ the AP wealth to the Gujarat-based companies. This is being done only to secure the favours from the Prime Minister to protect the AP CM from the illegal assets cases in the CBI and ED.
