Spyder 50 days Poster shatters Mahesh Babu’s Fans

Superstar Mahesh Babu pinned many hopes on his recent outing which is touted to be the costliest film in the actor’s career and Mahesh even made his debut into Tamil with the film. The movie ended up as one of the biggest debacles in the actor’s career and he has been badly criticized. Superstar’s fans have been badly disappointed with the film’s content and Mahesh Babu has been badly trolled across social media. At this time, Mahesh Babu has been announced as the Best Actor for his performance in Srimanthudu which turned out to be a huge relief for Superstar’s fans.

Right when they are on the way to forget the debacle of Spyder, the makers unveiled the latest posters that the film completed 50 days run. The news posters have been cornered all over and Mahesh’s fans have been shattered with the 50 days posters. Right at the time when they have been celebrating for the Nandi award for their favorite actor, Mahesh’s fans turned out to be a target across social media for the disastrous act of the makers.

After SPYder’s disaster, Mahesh Babu and his team started doing post mortem on the movie. Apparently they are still not convinced with movie’s box office result. In fact they are believing that there was a huge conspiracy behind making this movie a disaster.

As per this conspiracy theory going on in Mahesh’s circles, a group of industry has tried to undermine the movie. Now his team is digging into history of some PRO’S and media owners as they believe, negative talk was spread intentionally by these PROs and media. Moreover, Mahesh Babu told Dil Raju to not engage this particular group of PRO’s for his upcoming movie with Dil Raju.

But it seems, people around Mahesh are not helping him in doing truthful post mortem. They are not taking time to review the actual reasons like lack in Nativity, unnecessary budget, flat narration, weak music. More than all this, makers did not set right expectations to the audience on what to expect from the film. By seeing the “SPY” word in the title, and as it is directed by Murugadas, people expected much more than a psychopath movie. Makers failed to project properly what the movie is about.

Anyway, it is always easy to put blame on media or one person or one group and conveniently ignore the actual facts.

It is known news that SPYder movie, that released during Dussera season, failed to live up to expectations. Also, because of negative mouth talk, movie failed to pick up. It seems the producers and distributors now moved to producers council seeking return of part of the hefty remunerations paid to hero Mahesh and director Murugadas. Mahesh and Murugadas , took 22 crores each as remuneration for this movie , as per grapevine. So almost 44 crores of the budget gone as part of remunerations for hero and director itself.

Now there is pressure on both Mahesh and Murugadas to return part of that remuneration as film failed at box office. Distributors are asking to compensate 1/3 of the losses in each area. So, Mahesh promised to make another film for these producer and distributors. But distributors no longer are interested in waiting.  Because, when “Brahmotsavam” bombed, he told distributors that he will compensate them by doing another movie for PVP. But that didn’t materialize and he is now doing movie with Vamsi Paidipalli with different producer i.e. Dil Raju. So distributors are asking for compensations right now.

We have to wait and see how the hero and director handle this imbroglio.

In the industry where makers boast flop movies also as super duper hits, Mahesh Babu stands out unique. Mahesh Babu, does agree to promotions and success meets when movie gets a good talk. But if movie gets a negative talk or mixed talk, he does’t show up in media. Though he actively promoted Brahmotsavam movie before its release, he neither showed up in media nor did he attend success meets. Now his recent movie Spyder also met same fate and it disappointed his fans and general audience alike. When festive season and holidays coming to end, producers wanted to arrange a success meet to cash on the season and minimize the impact of mixed talk on the movie. They wanted to arrange success meet at any one place – Hyderabad or Vizag or Vijayawada.

But after seeing the negative talk, Mahesh Babu declined to attend the success meet. Usually Mahesh Babu leaves for a foreign trip after completion of every movie. So producers planned to have success meet before he leaves for trip. But Mahesh Babu said ‘No’ to success meet and left for the trip with his family. So makers have only two options now – wait till Mahesh Babu comes back after two weeks or go ahead and have success meet without the protagonist Mahesh Babu. Obviously both the options are of no use for the producer and so the producers completely dropped the idea of success meet.
