TV9 Srini Raju himself giving leaks to media?

Leading dailies have been publishing news about Srini Raju exiting TV9 and selling-off his stakes in the channel. Recently an English daily published news that Megha Engineering and MyHome have picked up nearly 80% stake held by Srini Raju owns TV9. The daily also added that the company was valued at Rs 456 crore for the transaction. However, here is an interesting update about this.

As per sources, till now, no financial transaction has happened regarding this as published by many dailies. It’s still in discussion stage. Finalization of this deal might not happen till mid of the next month also. It seems, TV9 CEO Ravi Prakash is still trying to work with some big investors as the deal with MyHome and Megha not yet closed.

However, all these dailies are getting these leaks from none other than Srini Raju himself. He is giving leaks to media as he wants to get out of this venture as soon as possible. So, while Ravi Prakash is still trying for a better deal, Srini Raju wants to close the deal asap and giving leaks to media that deal is already over. It is not sure why he wants to finalize this at the earliest, but it is for sure media houses getting these leaks straight from the horse mouth.

Pawan Kalyan, as part of is ongoing tweet war with media channels especially TV9 and ABN, released yesterday a document evidence that shows TV9 owner Srini Raju donating party fund of one crore rupees to TDP in 2009. Of course it is a big amount and it is paid in white. Probably Pawan Kalyan wanted to establish the nexus between TV9 Srini Raju and TDP party which he has been alleging in last few days. But there has been mixed response to this tweet.

Pawan Kalyan fans and Jana sena supporters are happy with this as there is some documentary evidence against Srini Raju that establishes he is a supporter of TDP and they hope this will send strong signal to people. However other people think it other way round. It is common thing that, most of the corporate companies donate money to multi parties. Same corporate companies at national level donate funds to BJP, Congress and communist parties. Same way Srini Raju also might have donated to TDP as well as Congress. Moreover, he might have donated to PRP as well in addition to TDP and Congress in 2009. In case Srini Raju supporters come up with some sort of proof or even remark without proof about Srini Raju donating fund to PRP as well in 2009, it will be a big blow to Pawan Kalyan arguments.

But the main problem here is – media also is running like any other corporate company doing business. Even though it is a business, media has a special responsibility towards society and that’s why it is called fourth estate. Gone are the days when media owners refuse government advertisements as they lose the right to question government once they depend on these govt ads.Now media not only accepting government advertisements happily, but also donating funds to multiple political parties like all other corporate companies, expecting some favous after those parties coming to power. This is definitely not a good trend in democracy.

Why attacking Srini Raju will haunt Pawan Kalyan

Since today morning, Janasena leader and actor Pawan Kalyan has been going on Twitter rant targeting prominent personalities like TV9 CEO Ravi Prakash and well-known entrepreneur Srini Raju. He made serious allegations in connection with Sri Reddy issue and regarding a planned conspiracy against him by Ram Gopal Varma, several Telugu media and Nara Lokesh, son of Andhra C.M Chandra Babu Naidu.

Quite surprisingly, Pawan launched an offensive against Srini Raju in a series of Tweets with no clarity on what he is trying to convey to his followers. Pawan alleged that Srini Raju owns lion’s share in TV9 investment and also presumed that he is a close relative of Ram Gopal Varma, which is absolutely baseless apart from the fact that they are of the same caste. He also posted a latest photo of Srini Raju, which is very perplexing to everyone because it couldn’t be understood what is his intention.

Well, Pawan Kalyan’s tweets might have created some sort of sensationalism in media, but mere allegations sans any proofs on Srini Raju will definitely haunt him. Here is the reason why –

Srini Raju is just an investor in TV9, but doesn’t hold sway over the content that is aired in the channel. He is absolutely gutted and seething with anger on why his name has been dragged into the entire issue without any rhyme or reason.

Pawan might have presumed Srini is behind the issue only on the fact that RGV and Srini are from the same caste. Apart from this, there is no real nexus between them and they had never met. RGV,too, clarified the same through a tweet.

Also, Srini Raju is one of the best entrepreneurs and business tycoons in India and also held several prestigious posts.

So, if Pawan Kalyan fails to provide enough and credible evidence behind his scathing allegations and remarks, he might definitely face a serious defamation lawsuit from Srini Raju for needlessly bringing him into the issue.
