Sundeep Kishan announced a series of films after the success of Ooru Peru Bhairavakona. The actor will soon work with Trinadha Rao Nakkina in a comic entertainer and it will be produced by AK Entertainments. As per the update, Sundeep Kishan has signed a web series that will be produced by Netflix. Tillu Square director Mallik Ram will direct this interesting project and the shooting formalities will start during the second half of this year. The pre-production work is currently under process.
Sundeep Kishan is also playing an important role in Dhanush’s 50th film Rayan which is under shoot. Dhanush is the director and Sun Pictures are the producers. Sundeep Kishan hiked his fee after Ooru Peru Bhairavakona. He is also expected to announce more projects this year.

Story:
Basava (Sundeep Kishan) steals ornaments from a house where a wedding takes place. When the cops start chasing him, Basava along with his friend (Viva Harsha) enters into a village named Bhairavakona. All those who entered the village never came back out from Bhairavakona. Even the people in the village behave abnormally. The gold ornaments get stolen from Basava and he has to stay in the village to recover the gold. The rest of Ooru Peru Bhairavakona is all about the dark secrets of the village and the backstory behind the theft committed by Basava. The film also discusses the link between the village and the missing four pages from Garuda Puranam.
Analysis:
Bhairavakona happens to be the central point of the story. There is nothing much to reveal about the story as the interesting point will be revealed if told. The director manages to generate enough curiosity after the hero enters into the village. The first half of the film starts on a strong note and is racy. The interval twist will impress the audience. Though the VFX work is not exceptional, they stand decent and are thrilling. Vennela Kishore’s portrayal as Narappa generated enough laughs. On the whole, the first half is passable and is engaging for the most of the time.
The director hints about the flashback episodes of the hero which makes it clear that there is an unexpected incident that took place in Basava’s life. The director took enough time to unfold about what happened between the hero and the heroine. The curiosity generated in the first half is not well presented in the second half. The episodes of evils cheating Basava are not convincing. The director also narrated about the missing pages of Garuda Puranam through a voiceover and this did not register well with the audience.
The audience will expect enough twists in the second half after watching the interval episode. But the twists failed to live up to the expectations. The love story should have been penned in a more effective manner. The heroine’s story is emotionless. The best part of fantasy stories are the audience are not much bothered about the logics and they expect some magic on screen. The visualization of VI Anand is good but he missed emotions and the needed thrills.
Performances:
Sundeep Kishan is one actor who is always after experiments and unique attempts. He does justice for his role in every film and he did the same for Ooru Peru Bhairavakona. Varsha Bollamma was well fit in the role of Bhumi. Kavya Thapar’s role should have been better. Vennela Kishore pulled the film with his comic timing and all his episodes are hilarious. Ravi Shankar’s character failed to match the impact. Viva Harsha was good and Brahmaji was impressive in a small attempt. All others did their parts well.
Ooru Peru Bhairavakona is a brilliant film technically. The producers should be appreciated for the grand production values and bringing out a quality product. Nijame Cheputunna is a chartbuster song of the album but it was placed in a wrong situation. Sekhar Chandra impressed with his background score. The dialogues are well written. All the dialogues of Vennela Kishore are hilarious. Director VI Anand takes us to a fantasy world and creates enough interest but he fails to keep the magic till the end. Keep the expectations low and you will like Ooru Peru Bhairavakona.
Final Word: Ooru Peru Bhairavakona is half baked and it will impress you if your expectations are quite low.

Story:
Michael is in the shades of 90’s. A ten-year-old boy Michael (Sandeep Kishan) saves Mumbai Gangster Gurunadh (Gautam Vasudev Menon) from an attack and he starts living with him. Guru is so dependent on Michael rather than his son Amarnath (Varun Sandesh). Guru assigns a task to Michael to kill Teera (Divyansha Kaushik) and her father Ratnakar (Avinash Kuruvella), who lives in Delhi. The story behind Michael and Vijay Sethupathi’s role and Michael’s link with Ratnakar is the story plot.
Analysis:
Michael is an old school story. KGF shades are seen in the film at the time of projecting the roles, but nowhere the screenplay sounds convincing because of the highly elevated charecters. Director misses creating not even a single exciting moment on screen. There are plenty of serious talks and needless repetitive scenes. Michael has flavours of KGF, Godfather, Vikram and many more gangster films. A misleading act of the director while projecting Michael’s character impacts the movie big time. Director Ranjith Jeykodi’s work lacks freshness in the film. The elevation screens for each character are only saving factors. Sandeep Kishan was portrayed neatly. Vijay Sethupathi’s role is strong, but the dull screenplay is a big demerit.
Screenplay is poor and the lengthy runtime tests the patience of the audience. With a bunch of artists in the film, the director failed to use them. Lack of emotional attachment is also one of the minuses.
Performance:
Very first thing to talk about in the film is Sandeep Kishan. He has done so much hard work for the film and that is projected on screen. Action scenes are well-directed. Vijay Sethupathi and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar are impressive from their side, but they don’t have much screen time for performance. Anasuya Bharadwaj had done a very small role. Gautham Vasudev Menon has come out with the full-length role as a Mumbai gangster. He has done his part quite well, but his monotonous action is boring. Divyansha Kaushik is stylish and the chemistry between the lead pair is good.
Background score and visuals are top-notch. Production values are good. Michael is definitely a stylish gangster drama. But with the poor writings of director Ranjith, the movie will not impress the audience.
Verdict: Michael is a stylish film with bad screenplay and writing. It would end up as a disappointment.
Natural Star Nani is the Chief Guest for Sundeep Kishan’s Michael releasing on February 3rd. The movie had impressed everyone with the teaser and trailer and the anticipation is very high on the movie in the trade and the audience.
Speaking at the event, Nani is in all praise for the film. “Looking at Michael’s teaser, trailer, visuals and performances, it seems that a new trend is about to begin. A movie looks new after many years. When ‘Shiva’ came, it felt new when compared to other films. I want Michael to be such a movie. If the energy shown in the trailer is in the movie, everyone will carry it on their shoulders. There is no doubt about that. Sunil, Mohan, Bharat are very passionate producers. I really want Michael to be a milestone movie,” he said.
“Hard work, talent and luck combine these three and you will go to the top position. In Sundeep, hard work and talent were constantly visible. but no luck. I believe it starts with Michael. Sundeep should get a big success with Michael. I want him to be rewarded for my hard work. Divyansha looks very beautiful. Director Ranjith shot the very novel. Kaushik gave a very good tone. Varun got the right character in Michael. I think we will see actor Varun Sandesh from here. All the best to the team. I wish with all my heart to see Michael in theaters on February 3, bless the team and make it a blockbuster,” he added.
Sundeep Kishan is very excited and said, “Nani, I have been friends since the beginning of my career. But this is the first time Nani is coming to my event. Michael being a special movie for me, Nani coming is even more special. I was a bit tense about this event. But I am very happy for Michael’s movie. I have put as much as I want for this film. Lokesh Kanakaraj is my biggest pride. Ranjith Jayakodi is the gift of universe to me. Whatever I thought I couldn’t do, I did everything in the film.
“No amount of thanks to Vijay Sethupathi is enough. He showed a lot of love for this movie. That love is visible on screen. Divyansha is an amazing costar. Also Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar also played a very good role. Gautham Menon was my teacher. His performance in this movie is very special. Anasuya also played a very good role. The response to the teaser of the trailer has been very gratifying. Many people said that I made this film with all my blood. But this is just the beginning. Keep showing love like this..I will do amazing work,” he added.

Telugu star Sundeep Kishan is here to take audiences on an adrenaline trip with filmmaker Ranjit Jeykodi’s upcoming film ‘Michael’ which marks the maiden pan-India film of the actor.
On Thursday, Nani released the film’s Telugu teaser, while Dhanush launched the Tamil version, Dulquer Salmaan unveiled the Malayalam version, and Rakshit Shetty did the honours of unveiling the Kannada teaser. The Hindi teaser was released by Raj Kumar Rao, Rakul Preet Singh, Jhanvi Kapoor, Raj & DK.
The teaser digs into revealing important glimpses of Michael. Also, it gives an insight into Vijay Sethupathi’s character as well as Gautham Menon’s villainous streak. More importantly, the story dates back to the 80s, going by the get-ups of the actors, and the set-ups in the background.
The teaser begins by introducing the three prominent faces of the movie, and the master says, “Michael, animals that can’t hunt, get caught by predators,” and pat comes the reply from Michael, who says, “There is no need to wander outside to placate starvation, Master.”
From rugged dashing avatars of Sundeep Kishan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Gautham Menon, to spectacular action episodes, to intense dialogues to steamy romance, the teaser looks promising and the film seems to be a complete entertainment package with an epic storyline.

The makers of Arun Matheswaran’s much-awaited Dhanush-starrer ‘Captain Miller’ on Saturday announced that Telugu star Sundeep Kishen would be joining the cast of the film.
Sathya Jyothi Films, a well-known production house, officially announced that Sundeep Kishen had come onboard their upcoming magnum opus ‘Captain Miller’ starring Dhanush in the lead role.
A noteworthy fact is Sundeep Kishan enthralled Tamil audiences with his fabulous performance as the lead hero in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s directorial debut movie ‘Maanagaram’.

Actor Sundeep Kishan, who is a part of the Tamil and Telugu film industries, has been left shaken by a video clip on Twitter in which a group of four Indian students, who are stuck in Ukraine, are seen appealing for help.
The actor, quoting the tweet with the video clip, said, “This really shook me up…sending prayers for their safety.”
In the video clip, four students from Tamil Nadu who are stuck in Kharkiv are seen appealing for help to get out of the war-ravaged country and get back home.
Speaking in Tamil, one of the students says, “We are not blaming anyone. We are not in a position to blame anyone. We don’t have the courage nor the qualification to blame anybody. We are just asking for your help. We are on our knees and asking you for your help.”
Another student says, “From the morning, we can only hear bombs go off.”
A third student adds, “They have closed all the places around.”
The first student then says, “We are holding on to our dear lives every minute and continuing to do our work. Not just us. There are around 5,000 students in metros around the country. They are like us in bunkers under their houses without food and water. Please help us.”
The video clip, which has been doing the rounds on social media, has now begun to garner attention.
