Milky beauty Tamannaah is playing the lead role in the Telugu remake of Bollywood blockbuster Queen. The movie is being shot and will release simultaneously in all the four South Indian languages. The shoot of the Telugu version has been kept on hold after the director Neelakanta walked out of the project. After a gap, Prasanth Varma has been roped in and Tamannaah is busy shooting for the film in Mysore currently.

With the other versions inching completion, Tamannaah is sweating out and is working for extra hours to wrap up the shoot. She allotted bulk dates for the project as of now and will wrap up the pending episodes at the earliest to catch up the other versions. The last schedule will take place in Europe and the makers are keen on releasing the film during Dasara. Kajal, Parul Yadav and Manjima Mohan are essaying the lead roles in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam versions.

Milky beauty Tamannaah stepped into the shoes of the Telugu remake of Bollywood blockbuster Queen. Neelakanta has been asked to direct the movie but he walked out midway. Awe director Prashant Varma took the responsibility to direct the movie and the shoot of the film got reinstated recently. The shoot of the film is currently taking place in Mysore and some crucial episodes are being canned.

The latest update is that the film has been titled ‘That is Mahalakshmi’ and it has been inspired from the role of Tamannaah from 100% Love. After referring several titles, That is Mahalakshmi has been locked and the next schedule will kick-start in Europe and most of the film’s shoot will be wrapped up in this schedule. Queen is being remade in all the South Indian languages and Kajal Aggarwal, Manjima Mohan and Parul Yadav are playing the lead roles in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions respectively.

Tamannaah goes extra mile for SyeRaa

Milk beauty Tamannaah Bhatia landed a plump role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s magnum opus period drama Syeraa Narasimha Reddy which is currently on floors. Directed by Surender Reddy, the film boasts an ensemble cast.

Reportedly, there is a scene in the film which needs Tamannaah to perform a classical dance bit. For this, Tamannaah is taking dance classes to learn the ropes of Bharatanatyam. It is heard that she hired a dance tutor from Mumbai and learning the skills during her shooting gaps.

She is going to join the sets in the next schedule which is starting in June. Nayanatara is the film’s leading lady and Tamannaah will be seen in a substantial role.

Tamannaah is awaiting the release of her upcoming Telugu film Naa Nuvve which has Kalyan Ram in the lead role.

Milk beauty Tamannaah is undeterred despite her ongoing Telugu remake of ‘Queen’ has been shelved all of a sudden. She is getting busier in Tollywood with back to back signings.

Having wrapped up Kalyan Ram’s Naa Nuvve and Sandeep Kishan’s upcoming film, Tamannaah is now eagerly looking forward to commence shooting for her two biggies which she has signed recently.

One is Megastar Chiranjeevi’s period film Syeraa Narasimha Reddy and the other is Anil Ravipudi’s F2 in which she is paired opposite Victory Venkatesh.

After a brief hiatus, the 100 percent love actress is back to busy days in Tollywood. She will be in Hyderabad for more than 45 days to shoot simultaneously for these two films. She is definitely on a comeback trail.

No better sports event than IPL to perform for: Tamannaah

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has said there is no better sports event than Indian Premier League (IPL) to perform for and she is excited about performing in the opening ceremony of the glamorous Twenty20 cricket tournament.

Tamannaah said this on Friday while interacting with the media before the final rehearsal for the opening ceremony of IPL on Saturday.

Tamannaah, who has performed in numerous award shows and stage tours, said performing in a stadium is completely different.

“Before this, I have never performed for a sports event and of course, when you are on a stage there is a certain feeling of nervousness and excitement. As a performer, the feeling to perform in a stadium and to feel the energy of the audience will be completely different.

“I am excited because there is no better sports event than IPL to perform for. We are all crazy about cricket and it’s the opening night,” said Tamannaah

Talking about her performance and the songs incorporated Tamannah said: “Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad feel like my own because I belong to all these cities. This time, my performance is going to be on four songs in four languages. There is Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and a Hindi song. So it goes out to pretty much the whole of India.”

When asked which team would she choose to support, the “Baahubali” actress said: “…Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is coming back after two years, it has Dhoni and I am a huge fan, so I am looking forward to seeing them play.”

Besides Tamannaah, Hrithik Roshan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Dhawan will also be performing for the IPL opening ceremony on Saturday.

Tamannaah is currently gearing up for Kangana’s “Queen” remake titled “Queen Once Again”, being helmed by National Award-winning director Neelakanta.

Cheppal thrown on actress Tamannaah

A man, who claimed himself a very big fan of Tamannaah, hurled a footwear on the actress but it missed the target. Later, police identified the man detained him. Details as below.

Tamannaah attended the inauguration of a jewellery store at Himyathnagar. Many fans of her came to the store to see her and there was lot of crowd outside the store too. Suddenly, someone hurled footwear at “Baahubali” actress Tamannaah Bhatia. It missed the target and hit an employee of the jewellery store. The incident caused slight chaos at the location. But the incident was captured in CCTV cameras and police could identify the person who hurled the cheppal.

As identified by police, a 31-year-old man, Karimullah, a BTech graduate, and a resident of Musheerabad has hurled the footwear, while the actress was coming out of the store. Narayanguda Police detained the man immediately and after questioning him, revealed that he is a very big fan of actress and was apparently frustrated over the roles played by the actress in her recent movies. However, following a complaint by the employee, who was hit by the cheppal, the police registered a case under relevant sections against Karimullah.

Chiyaan Vikram’s recent outing Sketch released in Tamil during Sankranthi and ended up as a decent box-office grosser. Though it was Sai Pallavi who was roped in to romance Vikram in the film, she was replaced with Tamannaah later. The makers did not disclose the real reasons for replacing the female lead and Tamannaah seemed fit in the assigned role. Sketch is gearing up for Telugu release soon and Vikram is currently busy promoting it. During his interaction, Vikram was asked about Tamannaah being replaced with Sai Pallavi.

Though Vikram did not disclose the reason, he revealed that Tamannaah is a better choice than Sai Pallavi. “Tamannaah was a perfect choice for the role of a Brahmin girl in the film and audience will fall in love with her role. Sai Pallavi was replaced due to several reasons” revealed Vikram. The actor’s comments irked Sai Pallavi’s fans as he confessed that Tamannaah was a better choice for the role. Sai Pallavi has been riding high with back to back hits in Telugu with Fidaa and MCA. She has a series of Telugu films lined up which will start rolling soon.

Royalty always intrigued me: Tamannaah

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia, who will be seen as a South Indian royal in a campaign, says royalty is something that always intrigued her.

The actress has been roped for a South Indian textile brand, Pothys. For its campaign shoot, she will be essaying a South Indian royal.

Drawing inspiration from the founder of Bengaluru, Kempe Gowda’s lineage, fashion designer Nishka Lulla has put together Tamannaah’s look.

“The only time I was essayed aristocracy in the creative format was in ‘Baahubali’. This time around it’s for a commercial ad shoot and I’m very impressed with the way Nishka has curated my entire ensemble,” Tamannaah said in a statement.

“Royalty is something that always intrigued me to a great extent. I’ve always wanted to be part of a period drama and playing gentry is such a mastered form of the fine arts,” she added.

Lulla took two months to design the entire look.

“I did a lot of research on South Indian royalty and the whole look is inspired by royalty. I have draped two silk saris together in red and peach and emerald green and hot pink and have used a lot of heavy gold jewellery,” said the designer.

Bollywood sensational film Queen is being remade in all the South Indian languages. Malayalam filmmaker Manu Kumaran is bankrolling the film in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Milky beauty Tamannaah is playing the title role for the Telugu version which is directed by Neelakanta. “There is no truth in director being replaced because of me. I have immense respect towards Neelakanta and our film producer has taken some strict decisions for the film to shape out well” revealed Tamannaah. She did not directly reveal that the director has been replaced and now the director of Telugu version has been replaced. Kamal’s close friend and director Ramesh Aravind who has been helming the Tamil and Kannada remakes of Queen has been asked to take the responsibility of Telugu and Malayalam versions too.

While Tamannaah is the lead actress for the Telugu version, Kajal is the lead actress for Tamil, Parul Yadav for Kannada and Manjima Mohan is playing the title role for the Malayalam version. After wrapping up the foreign schedule, Neelakanta has been replaced with Ramesh Aravind. Only Tamannaah and Neelakanta knows the real reasons about the director’s replacement and we are yet to know if the episodes shot by Neelakanta will be used in the film or will be shot again.

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia says she didn’t enjoy any administrative authority in the creative role play in the Telugu version of Kangana Ranaut-starrer “Queen”.

According to a report, National Award-winning director Neelakanta quit the remake of “Queen” over “creative differences” with the actress.

Slamming it as baseless, Tamannaah said in a statement to IANS: “I would like to reiterate and clarify that no actor ever has had a say in the technical process of a film. My team or I didn’t enjoy any administrative authority in the creative role play for the Telugu version of ‘Queen’.”

The final call “always rests with the producer of the film”, she said.

Tamannaah is looking forward to resuming work and completing the final schedule of the film.

“I have great respect for Neelakanta sir and would like to put an end to all these speculative rumours. The producer (Manu Kumaran) had made some changes to the composition of the team in early November to streamline the execution of this extremely ambitious project,” she said.

“The four language simultaneous remakes of ‘Queen’ is a dream project for everyone involved and we all are collectively working towards giving the audience four beautiful and entertaining movies,” she added.

The Kangana Ranaut-starrer Hindi blockbuster is being made in Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada besides Telugu.

When Tamannaah turned student

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia, who is shooting for a film on the Beti Padhao Beti Bachao campaign as well as the Telugu remake of “Queen”, reminisced her childhood memories upon a visit to her school.

She attended the annual day gala at Maneckji Cooper on Thursday, and turned student for the current graduating batch.

Heading back to school brought back all the childhood memories. She also danced on a few songs of “Queen”, did an impromptu act of “Baahubali” and also participated in a skit on women empowerment and importance of education specially for the students.

“It was while studying at school that I got noticed and realised that the entertainment industry could be my life’s calling. This is my little way of giving back,” Tammannah said in a statement.

Tamannaah happy to giver her own perspective to ‘Queen’ remake

Tamannaah Bhatia has been roped in for the Telugu remake of a successful Bollywood film “Queen” and the actress is happy to be able to give her own perspective to the film.

“I am very excited for the film. I feel happy that I am going to be be able to give it my perspective and it will be how I think or perceive of the film so I am really looking forward to it,” said Tamannaah on the sidelines of Elle Beauty Awards 2017 on Wednesday, here.

“We will start shooting the film soon, most probably from this month itself. First of all, that film taught us how to love yourself and I think every girl has loved that film,” she further added.

The film is titled “Queen Once Again” and will be directed by Neelakanta Reddy.

The 2014 released “Queen” that starred Kangana Ranaut narrates the story of Rani, who goes for her honeymoon to Paris alone after her fiance calls-off the wedding on the final day. The trip transforms her completely.

Rajkummar Rao played Kangana’s fiance in the film.

The actress looked like a diva at the award night.

“At Elle Beauty Awards, there are lot of beautiful people who have come to support the awards. It’s all about enjoying beauty, giving recognition and contributing towards beauty industry… I would like to congratulate all the winners who won the awards,” she said.

Confident we can recreate magic of ‘Queen’: Tamannaah

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia is confident that the magic of Kangana Ranaut-starrer “Queen” will be recreated in its Telugu version which was officially launched on Sunday.

The remake, to be directed by Neelakanta Reddy, has been titled “Queen Once Again”.

“It’s an exciting project and I love doing roles that talk about women empowerment. I’m confident we can recreate the magic of the original. At the same time, not make our film look like a frame-to-frame remake. We’ll adapt it to suit Telugu sensibilities,” Tamannaah told IANS.

Ever since she saw the Vikas Bahl-directed “Queen”, she wanted to be a part of its remake.

“I wasn’t even sure if it was going to be remade. What makes ‘Queen’ special is that it’s one of those rare women-centric films which succeeded in reaching out to everybody, across all sections of the audience,” she said.

Tamannaah starts shooting for the project from October 25.

“Queen” is the story of the self-exploration of a young Punjabi girl, played by Kangana, who embarks on her honeymoon to Paris alone after her fiance calls off the wedding.

Last week, the Tamil and Telugu versions of “Queen” were launched. The Tamil version, which has been titled “Paris Paris”, stars Kajal Aggarwal in the lead.

The Kannada version, which has been titled “Butterfly” and stars Parul Yadav, has already gone on the floors.

Actor-filmmaker Ramesh Aravind is directing the Tamil as well as Kannada versions of the remake.
