Special status is a boring subject – Jagannatakam exposed?

0

TDP Spokesman Lanka Dinakar on Thursday accused YCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy of staging a big drama called ‘Jagannatakam’ on AP special status by joining hands with anti-AP leaders like PM Narendra Modi and TRS boss Chandrasekhar Rao.

He said that Jagan’s drama was exposed when his party MP candidate Potluri Vara Prasad dismissed the special status issue as a ‘boring subject’. PVP made this highly objectionable statement on a prestigious forum organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry.

Jaganmohan Reddy had mortgaged AP special status to Modi and KCR who want to ensure the crushing of AP and the under development of the state’s 5 crore population. On the other hand, the TDP under the leadership of CM Chandrababu Naidu is making hard efforts to get the special status, industrial incentives and fulfillment of the reorganization promises.

Mr. Dinakar accused Modi and KCR of using Jagan to destroy AP and create a fear psychosis in the state by forcing Income Tax, CBI and Enforcement Directorate to conduct raids on rival leaders. He said that the YCP’s show on No Confidence Motion and MPs resignations were just a diversionary tactic while their main intention was to get PM’s blessings to Jagan in the CBI cases.

Tough time for Kodali Nani – TDP picks up in Gudivada

YCP sitting MLA Kodali Nani is facing the most difficult election in Gudivada assembly segment this time. All eyes are on the campaign trends in this segment now in Krishna district. The TDP cadres have taken it as a prestigious issue to defeat Nani with a special focus. They have recovered fully in the past five years with second rung leadership well in place. Moreover, Devineni Avinash’s candidature has come as a unifying factor for the TDP local leaders.

Why is the TDP so serious about Nani in the entire district? He has been very aggressive in criticising and embarrassing CM Chandrababu Naidu from the beginning. Following ego clashes only, Nani has left the TDP and migrated with almost all of the TDP cadre in the segment to the YCP.

Jaganmohan Reddy has also given considerable support to Nani in the party’s district affairs. He is known for his excellent election management and organisational abilities. But analysts say the TDP local leaders picked up tremendously and strengthened the party in the past five years. It is going to be an uphill task for Nani. Devineni Avinash is expected to make it a very close fight.

Jagan wants to start ‘Dhanayagnam-2’?

1

TDP Spokesperson Yamini Sadineni asked YCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy to give one valid reason why the AP should give ‘one chance’ for him to rule the state.

She said that Jagan wanted to become CM only to start Dhanayagnam-2 to plunder the state just on the lines of Dhanayagnam-1 he created out of his father YSR’s Jalayagnam.

She said that while CM Chandrababu Naidu is busy with reconstruction of AP after reorganization injustice, Jagan and his YCP are bent upon harming the state’s interests by conspiring with KCR and PM Modi.

Yamini asked whether AP people should vote for Jagan for joining hands with betrayers like KCR who are putting hurdles to AP projects like Polavaram.

Poll campaign heats up – TDP targets faction politics

0

AP CM and TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu is dominating the first phase of election campaign with his sharpened criticism against rivals. His main target is now the faction and murder politics that is the hallmark of YSR and Jaganmohan Reddy’s leadership. As there is much media and public attention on recent murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy in Pulivendula, Naidu is bringing up this issue again and again to grab voters’ attention.

This nasty murder politics is not necessary in our areas and this should be prevented by defeating all the YCP candidates here, Naidu tells voters in North Coastal and Godavari districts. At the same time, he talks about his pet themes of development and welfare politics.

Chandrababu tells voters if they cast their votes for Jagan, then there is no doubt he will transform the entire state into a ‘Nerandhra Pradesh’ (Criminalised AP). There will be goodas and rowdies in every street as general life becomes very difficult. The YCP leaders are not able to come out with strong counters to Naidu’s attack. Jagan is giving confident speeches on his becoming CM but not able to condemn TDP campaign on faction murders.

Nellore style shock treatment to TDP – Candidate disappears

0

In political manipulations, Nellore politicians are known to be unbeatable. The TDP leadership has got a taste of this with regard to its Nellore Rural candidate Adala Prabhakar Reddy. For many years, the TDP has put special focus on this segment only with an aim to defeat Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy because of his open criticism of Chandrababu Naidu. Adala is considered a strong candidate as he has got money and caste support.

Local TDP leaders complained to Naidu that Adala is trying to change party loyalties and he is not dependable. But Adala met with Naidu recently and made the CM believe that he is a sincere loyalist of TDP. Chandrababu has fulfilled all demands of Adala which is clearance of payments towards developmental works worth Rs. 43 crore. Then Naidu asked Adala to do active campaigning and defeat YCP nominee.

Adala returned to Nellore Rural and started campaigning. But once the money of Rs. 43 crore was deposited to his bank accounts, he simply cancelled his campaigning and disappeared from the scene. Now TDP is left struggling to find an alternative candidate.

Buddha Venkanna bombards YSR CP with questions

0

YSR CP leader and party chief Jagan’s uncle Vivekananda Reddy’s untimely death and the subsequent developments are creating sensation in Andhra Pradesh. TDP leader Budda Venkanna convened a press meet and bombarded YSRCP with several questions.

It is known news that YSRCP leaders alleged the role of minister Adi Narayana Reddy, Lokesh and TDP in the murder of Vivekananda Reddy. Buddha Venkanna convened press meet and raised several questions. He asked why it was reported as death due to cardiac arrest in the morning. It is to be noted, even Sakshi channel reported it as natural death in the first half of the day. He questioned, who cleaned the blood stains and made up the room. He added, why was there such an attempt to manipulate the scene and facts. He reminded about the differences between Jagan Mohan Reddy and Vivekananda Reddy for MP ticket when YSR was alive.

Buddha Venkanna told that TDP is ready to have this case investigated by CBI or any such national agency. We will have to wait and see how YSRCP responds on these questions.

TDP leaders opt out of race to make way for successors

The younger generation is all set to take up the mantle in Andhra Pradesh politics as ministers and senior leaders of ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) have opted out of electoral race to make way for their political successors.

Chief Minister and TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu is perhaps the only exception as he and his son Nara Lokesh both figure in the list of 126 candidates announced by the party late on Thursday for Assembly elections in April.

Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy, a strong TDP leader in Kurnool district, decided against contesting to pave way for his son K.E. Shyam Babu from Pathikonda constituency, a family stronghold.

Paritala Sunitha, another key minister in Naidu’s cabinet, opted out of the race to get a ticket for her son Paritala Sriram from Rapthadu, considered a bastion of Paritala family in Anantapur district.

In Chittoor district, senior TDP leader and former minister Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy’s son Bojjala Sudheer Reddy will be the party candidate from Srikalahasti. Krishna Reddy was elected from here for five terms.

Gouthu Syam Sunder Sivaji gave up his Palasa constituency in Srikakulam district in favour of his daughter Gouthu Sireesha.

Naidu accepted the request of senior leader Jaleel Khan to field his daughter Shabana Khatoon from Vijayawada West.

Kidari Sravan Kumar, whose father and TDP MLA Kidari Sarveshwara Rao was gunned down by Maoists a few months ago, got TDP ticket from Araku. Sravan was inducted into the cabinet after the killing of his father.

Kimidi Nagarjuna will contest from Cheepurapalle constituency as the political successor of his mother Kimidi Mrunalini, a sitting legislator.

Naidu has also fielded late Central minister K. Yerran Naidu’s daughter Adi Reddy Bhavani from Rajahmundry City. Yerran Naidu’s son K. Rammohan Naidu is a Lok Sabha MP from Srikakulam and is likely to be fielded again. Yerran Naidu’s brother K. Atchem Naidu is a cabinet minister.

The TDP chief has also given tickets to sons of senior leader Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu and former minister Devineni Nehru. Muddukrishnama Naidu died in 2018 while Nehru died in 2017.

The ruling party has kept the names for 49 Assembly constituencies pending. The TDP chief was busy holding consultations with party leaders and aspirants to finalise the names.

The party is also yet to announce candidates for Lok Sabha elections. Polling for the 175-member Assembly and all 25 Lok Sabha seats is scheduled on April 11.

Among the 126 candidates announced, the party has retained 83 MLAs. While 14 MLAs who had crossed over from opposition YSR Congress have been fielded, three have been denied tickets.

The list includes 15 women.

Among 72 candidates from Other Castes (OCs), as many as 32 are kammas, a politically dominant community to which Chandrababu Naidu belongs. There are 30 candidates from backward classes, 18 from scheduled castes, four from scheduled tribes and two Muslims.

TDP hits back at YCP ‘murder politics’

0

TDP Kadapa MP candidate Ch Adinarayana Reddy accused Jaganmohan Reddy of trying to politicise the death of his own uncle YS Vivekananda Reddy. The TDP is countering YCP allegations forcefuly. He took strong objection to YCP MLA Rabindranath Reddy’s allegations blaming the CM, Lokesh, TDP Pulivendula candidate Sathish Reddy and himself.

It had become a routine habit for Jagan to make false allegations against the TDP and create confusion in the public. Adinarayana Reddy said that there are internal differences between Vivekananda Reddy and YS Avinash Reddy over contesting the MP election. For a long time, Vivekananda Reddy faced difficulties with Jagan who was always trying to hurt his contesting chances.

Stating that initial reports suggested death due to heart attack, Adinarayana Reddy said that the YCP leaders changed their line of thinking and began blaming the CM for Vivekananda Reddy death obviously for the sake of sympathy factor.

Adinarayana Reddy demanded an investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to bring out the truth in the death of Vivekananda Reddy. He would write letters to the AP DGP, Kurnool DIG and Kadapa SP for an honest probe.

TDP’s Mission 150 seats – What is Chandrababu’s logic ?

1

As the election mood is turning somewhat favourable, TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu has come out with Mission 150 seats for the April 11 Assembly election. It is no doubt on the higher compared to the party’s past performance. To win 150 out of the total 175 seats, the party will require vote share in the range of 40 to 44 per cent. Is it possible in the present election which is going to witness Pawan Kalyan trying to claim his share of the cake?

Analysts say the TDP will stand to gain if its vote share touches anywhere above 37 per cent. In 2009 elections, Congress won 156 seats in United AP and formed the government by getting 36.56 per cent vote share. In that election, TDP lagged behind with 28.12 per cent while Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party got 16.22 per cent and TRS got 3.99 per cent.

After winning 2014 election, Chandrababu introduced such programmes to get the support of all sections of the people. Now he is banking heavily on support from his welfare schemes for DWCRA women, farmers, young people and pension beneficiaries in rural areas. Development, efficient execution of projects like Polavaram and Amavarati capital city are added advantages. Non-fulfillment of special status by Modi government also benefits TDP. Rivals are split and Pawan Kalyan is contesting alone. All these factors have made Chandrababu confident of getting considerable vote share enough to touch the 150 mark.

TDP finalises MP candidates for Rajahmundry, Tirupati

0

Sitting MP Murali Mohan’s daughter-in-law Maganti Roopa will contest from Rajahmundry MP seat. Her name is finalised after Murali Mohan has expressed his unwillingness to continue in electoral politics any more. TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu has okayed Roopa’s candidature after holding discussions with Murali Mohan and different leaders from Rajahmundry Lok Sabha constituency.

Chandrababu has also finalised former Union Minister Panabaka Lakshmi’s candidature from Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency. She will join the TDP along with her husband Panabaka Krishnaiah soon. Her name was first considered for Bapatla segment but it was changed later.

Panabaka Krishnaiah has met with Chandrababu Naidu at Undavalli camp office and asked for Sullurupeta assembly ticket for him as well. Sullurupeta falls in Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency. Hailing from Gudur assembly limits, the Panabaka family have got good contacts with local leaders in Sarvepalli, Gudur, Sullurupeta and Venkatagiri segments which fall in Tirupati parliamentary seat.

Jagan changes plan – PVP to contest Vijayawada MP seat

0

YCP President Jaganmohan Reddy is giving special focus to Vijayawada Lok Sabha segment. As it is the never centre of AP politics, Jagan wants to somehow win this seat by putting up a strong candidate. Already, the ticket was promised to Vijaya Electricals Chairman Dasari Jai Ramesh but his name is being dropped in the changed political circumstances. Jagan feels noted industrialist Potluri Vara Prasad (PVP) is a stronger candidate for this seat.

Accordingly, consultations were held and it is already decided to take PVP into the YCP fold in a day or two. It seems PVP is coming into the party only on the condition of contesting from Vijayawada MP seat. In 2014 elections also, PVP was denied the ticket following which he distanced from the YCP later.

Whoever it is, the fight in Vijayawada MP seat will be one between rich industrialist Kamma candidates. If cleared, PVP will confront TDP’s Kesineni Nani which will lead to a keenly contested election between the two. If Vangaveeti Radha joins TDP, it is being considered a cake walk for Kesineni Nani.

Congress MP ticket aspirants to join TDP?

0

Political leaders cannot stay from contesting at the time of elections. The April-May is more tempting for them considering the stiff competition between the Modi and the anti-Modi parties. But the Congress biggies like former union minister Panabaka Lakshmi cannot stay away from contesting nor can they contest on Congress ticket which brings certain defeat.

Under such circumstances, the TDP is coming to an understanding with Congress to welcome potential ticket aspirants to join their party and contest. The same formula is now placed before Panabaka Lakshmi who is thinking of getting approval from Rahul Gandhi. Panabaka is very close to the Gandhi family and she is taking all precautions before taking a decision.

The TDP wants to field Panabaka in the SC-dominated Bapatla Lok Sabha constituency where she got good political connections. Both parties think this arrangement will be a win-win situation for them.

Officials identify 1.55 lakh fake voter deletion request forms

0

The ongoing feud between the ruling TDP and the opposition YCP took a crucial turn now. The worst fears of the TDP leaders are coming true. The election officials have so far identified over 1.55 lakh fake voter deletion requests filed in form-7. With this, the TDP is bringing greater pressure on the Election Commission of India to probe deeper into the issue and filed cases against those responsible.

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has already accused Jaganmohan Reddy and his Bihar election consultant Prashant Kishor of masterminding this fake vote deletion strategy against lakhs of TDP voters. The TDP claims almost all the 1.55 lakh already detected fake forms belong to their party voters. Already, the TDP Ministers and MLAs have filed police complaints against the data thefts committed by the illegal persons in collusion with the Telangana officials from the IT Grids and TDP Seva Mitra app.

The state election officials expect more such false and fake form-7 applications. As of now, all the 1.55 already detected fake forms are summarily rejected by the officials.

Why senior TDP leaders backing out?

0

Hyderabad: Few senior leaders of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) are shying away from contesting in the forthcoming elections. Leaders like Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy have decided not to contest in elections this time. Along with Magunta, few other TDP leaders have reportedly met party supremo and AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and briefed him about their situation.

According to sources, Magunta is said to have told Naidu that owing to his business interests, he’s unable to contest. Magunta in 2014 contested on TDP ticket from Ongole Lok Sabha constituency and lost to YV Subba Reddy of YSRCP.

Referring to Magunta’s meeting, Naidu indirectly said that “One senior leader met me and briefed me about his situation. He doesn’t want to contest in the forthcoming elections. The reason, he cited, is CBI threats. CBI, I-T and other central agencies are targeting leaders of opposition parties and threatening them. Particularly, those who’re in business, are not coming forward to contest. With this, one can imagine, how much pressure the opposition parties are creating.”

After Magunta, other names such as former Kavali MLA Bida Mastan Rao, educationist Penchalaiah and former DGM Nanduri Sambasiva Rao are making rounds for Ongole Lok Sabha constituency.

Meanwhile, Naidu has finalised Eeli Nani’s candidature from Tadepalligudem Assembly constituency in West Godavari district. ZP chairman Mullapudi Bapiraju was trying for this seat, but considering the social equations, Naidu favoured Nani.

Balakrishna to contest again from Hindupur

0

Hyderabad: Telugu cine hero and Hindupur sitting MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna will again contest from his home constituency. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has finalised nine candidates for Assembly constituencies out of 14 MLA seats in Anantapur, while decision on five constituencies is put on hold. Naidu has gave a green signal to an appeal made by JC Diwakar Reddy to field his son Pawankumar Reddy in Anantapur Lok Sabha constituency. Tadipatri MLA JC Prabhakar Reddy’s request has also been approved by Naidu as he okayed Assembly ticket to his son Asmith Reddy from same constituency.

TDP Ministers — Paritala Sunita and Kaluva Srinivasulu– have retained tickets for Rapthadu and Rayadurgam constituencies respectively.

The TDP chief has accommodated sitting MLAs as many as possible and considered the feedback and opinions of the sittings. District in-charge Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao and minister Jawahar reviewed the Assembly constituency-wise situation. Since TDP MLA Balakrishna is on Hindupur tour, the review meeting didn’t discuss on this. Sitting MLAs have unanimously been approved for the next election. However, remaining seven constituencies, party cadres and local leaders raised voice against few candidates.

SR Constructions chief Amilineni Surendra babu has requested Naidu to consider his name for Puttaparti Assembly constituency. Madhusudhan Gupta, former MLA from Gunthakal, has joined TDP in the presence of Naidu.

YCP IT gang targets Yamini Sadineni – Social media abuses

0

The IT teams of YCP are known for their superior skills in targetting and defaming TDP leaders. They are making social media platforms to the maximum possible extent for this. Sometime ago, they poured their malice and hatred over Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh. Now they are not leaving TDP women leaders as well. TDP spokesperson Yamini Sadineni is now under heavy social media attack from YCP IT gangs.

Not just that, some unknown elements are even making threatening and malicious phone calls to Yamini. Her morphed photos are posted on the social networking sites. Not only that, they are using obscene and indecent language to demoralise and upset Yamini. As a counter measure, the TDP IT wing has looked into this aspect and found out specific names of persons responsible for this social media war against their party leaders.

The TDP has filed complaint with the Guntur police who have registered cases against the accused persons. Yamini has been very active in TV debates and TDP’s industry related meetings for quite sometime. TDP leaders say the YCP is changing its tactics ahead of elections to crush the image of TDP leaders through misuse of social media.

Galla Jayadev gets TDP again for Guntur MP seat

0

AP CM and TDP National President N Chandrababu Naidu gave green signal for sitting MP Galla Jayadev to contest from Guntur MP seat for the second consecutive time. Educated in America and coming from an industrialists’ family, Jayadev has also got the backing of his brother-in-law and film hero Mahesh Babu. His services in criticising the Modi government in the Parliament are recognized by Chandrababu. In the past two days, review meetings were held on segments in Guntur district at the CM camp office at Undavalli. Naidu cleared the name of Jayadev and also those of Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar for Ponnur and Alapati Raja for Tenali assembly segments. Naidu recalled the effective fight given by Jayadev on behalf of the AP state over special status and projects in the Parliament.

The TDP leaders are in an upbeat mood as Naidu has cleared the names for the most important segments of Tenali and Ponnur. Both these segments are known as strongholds of TDP. Interestingly, this time Alapati Raja will face tough fight from YCP candidate and former assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar.
In Ponnur, Dhulipalla Narendras is going to test his luck in getting a double hat trick there in the coming election.

TDP members data in YCP hands?

1

Telangana CM Chandrasekhar Rao has already started supporting Jaganmohan Reddy in every way possible. The TRS government is forcing the police authorities there to continue raids on the office of TDP Seva Mitra App services providers in Hyderabad. It’s leading to all the data relating to the TDP membership enrollment and booth level activists falling into the hands of the YCP through the Telangana government.

TDP is voicing concern that the Telangana officials are taking up cases pertaining to AP without any legality. If they come across such misuse of data concerning AP, the Telangana officials should have transferred such cases to the AP officials for further investigation.

TDP senior leader and Legislative Council Chief Whip Payyavula Keshav says it’s totally unethical on the part of the TRS government to misuse its authority to hand over benefits to the YCP. By making a complaint before the Telangana police, YCP leader Vijayasai Reddy showed how the YCP is behaving irresponsibly without any regard for the self respect of AP.

TDP keeps Boyapati Sreenu busy

0

Boyapati Sreenu was left in shock with the disaster of Vinaya Vidheya Rama. After a series of recent acts, he was in news frequently. But the top director soon turned busy at work and shifted his base to Vijayawada recently. He is busy directing the election advertisements of TDP from the past one month. Boyapati shares a close bond with Balakrishna and he earlier directed special videos of Krishna Pushkaralu that took place in 2016.

AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu wanted Boyapati to direct some concept based advertisements on TDP to use them during the elections this year. He is ensured a decent pay cheque for his work. Boyapati Sreenu on the other side is also working on the script of his next film that will feature Balakrishna in the lead role. The film starts from June and will release during Sankranthi 2020.

TDP MLA comments on those who quit the party

0

TDP MLA DA Satya Prabha responded on TDP Chittoor town President along with some Corporators joining YSR Congress Party. Speaking to the media at TDP district office in Chittoor, she accused that the members are manipulated into leaving the party. She questioned ‘Did Mapakshi Mohan not appointed as TDP town President and Agriculture Market Committee Chairman?’.

Satya Prabha also stated that it is untrue to say that TDP does not provide equal footing for BCs in the party. She also said that the corporators have to remember that they have won with TDP’s mark in 2014 election. She further added that “For those who have changed the party, the people will teach them appropriate lesson in the upcoming elections.”

Chittoor Mayor Hemalatha cleared the air about joining YSRCP. Hemalatha said that there is no chance their family joining YSRCP as long as they are alive. Hemalatha told the media that Chittoor has been developed by TDP in the past 4 years which it has not seen in 30 years. The Late Mayor Kathari Anuradha was a prolific advocate and the Mohans had been loyal to the party and sacrificed for people. Hemalatha said she would continue to work for those motives.

Deputy Mayor R Subri said, “BCs are given a proper place in TDP. TDP allocated 4 MLC seats to BCs out of 7 seats is a proof for it. The corporators are manipulated and turned against their party.”
