TS High Court asks police not to arrest NTV Chowdhary

0

In a relief to NTV chairman Narendra Chowdary Tummala, the Telangana High Court on Wednesday directed Hyderabad city police not to arrest him in the case pertaining to alleged irregularities in Jubilee Hills Cooperative House Building Society (JHCHBS).

The police recently filed FIR on Chowdhary naming him as A-1 (Accused No.1) stating that he resorted to several irregularities in JHCHBS, while he was heading the society until recently.

The Chowdhary-headed panel lost the recent society elections and the new society filed a case against Chowdhary in the High Court after the police did not file FIR against Chowdhary even after lodging a complaint against him.

The irregularities include converting open spaces into plots, allotting commercial space to few persons for nominal rents, diversion of society funds, disqualifying society members and removing their voting rights illegally, leasing of lands, collection of money illegally etc.

The society is spread over 1,195 acres in posh Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad and has 5,000 members.

Fearing arrest anytime, Chowdhary approached High Court seeking anticipatory bail.

Justice Sridevi, who heard the petition ordered to post the petition before first vacation court as summer vacation was declared for High Court.

She directed the police not to arrest Chowdhary until the vacation court hears the petition.

Campaigning ends for municipal elections in Telangana

Campaigning came to an end on Tuesday in seven urban local bodies in Telangana going to polls on April 30 amid the surge in Covid cases.

Leaders of various political parties addressed rallies, conducted road shows and went door to door in a last-minute bid to woo the voters.

Campaigning ended 72 hours before the polling as the State Election Commission curtailed the canvassing period in view of Covid situation.

The state poll panel, however, is going ahead with the elections despite demands by the opposition parties to postpone them due to ongoing second wave of the pandemic.

Opposition Congress and BJP had even sought intervention by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan to postpone the polls. However, the SEC maintained that it is taking all steps to prevent spread of Covid during the poll process.

The Telangana High Court on Tuesday expressed the apprehension that the polls could add to intensity of Covid wave. It asked SEC to submit a report by April 29 on the steps it is taking to check the Covid spread.

Polling will be held in the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation, the Khammam Municipal Corporation, and the Atchampet, Siddipet, Nakrekaral, Jadcherla and Kothur municipalities.

A total of 11,26,221 voters are eligible to cast their votes in 248 wards of these urban local bodies.

The Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation has 66 wards and is the second biggest in the state after the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. The Khammam Municipal Corporation has 60 wards. Among five municipalities, Siddipet is the largest with 43 wards while Kothur is smallest with only 12 wards.

Warangal, Khammam and Siddipet are among the towns witnessing a surge in Covid cases over last few days. Health Minister E. Rajender himself admitted that urban areas like corporations and municipalities were reporting more cases.

The SEC, however, is going ahead with the polls as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government is not in favour of deferring them.

The SEC issued the notification for the polls on April 15 despite the intense second wave of the pandemic sweeping through the state. It announced that the Covid-19 guidelines will be strictly adhered to during the polling. This, however, failed to convince the opposition parties.

Though senior Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir approached the Telangana High Court, seeking orders to SEC to postpone the polls in view of the spike in Covid cases, the latter declined to intervene and suggested him to move the SEC.

The SEC decided to go ahead with the polls as scheduled, apparently after the state government conveyed that the elections can be held with all Covid-related precautions in place.

The poll panel has only curtailed the duration of the poll campaign. The campaign came an end 72 hours before the polling. Usually, the campaign ends 48 hours before the polling.

The state’s single-day Covid spike crossed 10,000 on Monday. This was the highest single-day surge since the outbreak of the pandemic last year. The 24-hour period also saw 52 deaths.

TS Govt issues orders promoting students from Class I to IX without exams

The Telangana state government on Monday (today) issued orders promoting all students from Class I to IX to higher classes without exams.

The decision was taken in the wake of corona pandemic due to which all the schools remain closed in the present academic year 2020-21 and the situation is not conductive to hold annual exams.

The orders will be applicable to all government, private and aided schools in Telangana following state syllabus.

The state government already cancelled SSC pubic exams in Inter first year exams this year.

It has postponed Inter second year exams and a final decision on whether to hold Inter second year exams or not will be taken soon after reviewing the corona situation in May.

Diversion of oxygen to AP, T’gana unjustifiable: TN CM to Modi

3

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami on Sunday told Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the diversion of 80 MT oxygen supplies from the state to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is “unjustifiable” and should be reversed.

In a letter to Modi, the text of which was released to the media here, he also said the allotment of 220 MT (metric ton) of oxygen for Tamil Nadu in the latest National Medical Oxygen allotment plan is wrong.

Citing the increasing trend of Covid-19 infections in Tamil Nadu, Palaniswami said the the state would require 450 MT shortly which would be more than its production capacity of 400 MT.

“As compared to the maximum active case number of around 58,000 during the previous surge in 2020, the active caseload has already increased to over a lakh today. This has increased the oxygen demand as stated above. All efforts are being made to provide uninterrupted and adequate oxygen supply,” he said.

Given this scenario, Palaniswami told Modi that the premise of allocating 220 MT of oxygen for Tamil Nadu and diversion of 80 MT of liquid oxygen from the manufacturing facilities near here to Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana is “wrong and unjustifiable”.

As per Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) data, the consumption of oxygen in Tamil Nadu has already reached 310 MT as against the inadequate allotment made to the state of only 220 MT, he said.

Also, the states to which the allotment has been made have lower number of active cases than Tamil Nadu and also have major steel industries located within their state/close to their states, Palaniswami said.

“While Tamil Nadu has never imposed any restrictions so far and is always ready to support other states, such mandatory diversion of liquid oxygen from the needs of our state can lead to major crisis in Chennai and other districts.

“Hence, I request that diversion of 80 KL from Sriperumpudur plant in Tamil Nadu may immediately be cancelled,” Palaniswami said.

KCR announces free corona vaccine for all in Telangana

1

Telangana Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao has decided to administer vaccination to entire population in the state irrespective of age limit free of cost.

He said that in Telangana in addition to state own population, including those who came from different states and working in different sectors, there are about 4 crores of population and among them 35 lakhs have already been vaccinated. The rest would be vaccinated free of cost said the CM.

The CM said it would cost more than Rs 2500 crores to vaccinate everyone, and taking in to consideration the importance of lives of people, this amount is worth spending. KCR issued instructions to this effect to the Chief Secretary of the state and officers of Medical and Health department. Accordingly, CM instructed that necessary steps to be initiated to administer vaccination to all.

CM further said that already Bharath Biotech is producing vaccine and in addition to it several institutions including Reddy Labs are coming forward to produce vaccine and hence there will be no dearth for vaccination. In a couple of days after undergoing necessary medical tests and after completely recovering he would hold a high-level review meeting with concerned officials and follow it with personal monitoring of vaccination program said the Chief Minister.

In addition to vaccination program, said the CM, that necessary steps would be taken to see that there is no shortage of Remdesivir as well as other medicines required for corona and also oxygen. CM assured that the Government would go all out to protect people from corona and there is no need to become panicky.

KTR demands Modi for ‘One Nation, One Vaccine’

0

The rates at which the Coronavirus vaccine is being sold to the Centre and the States have drawn political criticism. Telangana Minister K.T. Rama Rao has launched an outright attack on the Modi Government on the differences of rates of vaccine. He questioned the rationale behind the vaccine companies selling each dose at Rs. 150 to the Centre and at Rs. 400 to the individual States. Where is the need for this discrimination?

KTR reminded Mr. Modi how all the States have agreed for ‘One Nation, One Tax’ system. Also, One Nation and One Ration system is also being brought. But now, there is no such concept as One Nation, One Vaccine. It is time a uniform rate should be put on the vaccine doses.

KT Rama Rao asked whether the Centre would not bear the additional cost towards the vaccine as part of the PM Cares programme. The Centre owed a responsibility to ensure total coverage of the population. KTR asked when the Modi regime was not cooperating for the speeding up of the vaccination drive.

The demand for vaccines has gone up with people in all age groups being covered from now. The targets are being set to cover 80 percent of the population and above as early as possible. Only this is expected to ensure herd immunity from the virus.

No remdesivir shortages, says Telangana Health Minister

0

Telangana Health Minister E. Rajender on Wednesday reiterated that there is no scarcity of remdesivir in the state, in wake of recent reports of several people landing up at the doors of pharma units in a desperate bid to procure the anti-viral drug for their kin suffering from Covid.

Talking to reporters in Huzurabad in Karimnagar district, the minister said that adequate stocks of remdesivir injections are available in state government hospitals. He said that a senior IAS officer has been entrusted with overseeing the Covid situation in Telangana.

Stating that the Chief Minister is personally monitoring the situation to ensure there is no oxygen scarcity, he said the state government has written to Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan to supply oxygen from neighbouring states.

Pointing out that situation will worsen if Covid spreads to rural areas, the minister said following physical distancing and wearing masks can help control its spread. Expressing hope that imposing night curfew will help bring down fresh cases, the minister said that more vaccination centres will be set up if the need arises.

Shooting in Telangana to continue with work force of 50 or less

1

As per new guidelines issued by the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday in the wake of growing Covid cases, film shooting will only be allowed to function with 50 people or less.

The new guidelines also state that owing to night curfew, shooting can only happen between 6am and 6pm, following strict safety protocol of wearing masks, sanitisation and adequate social distancing.

However, a final decision is yet to be taken on the functioning of theatres.

“In the meeting the decision to work with limited capacity is not given by the government, but the exhibitors and producers have decided it. While some theatre owners of multiplexes, who are not getting good footfall want to close, others are okay with whatever minimum revenue that comes. It hasn’t been decided yet,” Abhishek Nama, producer, distributor, distributor sector chairman, Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, told IANS.

“No big film is releasing now, anyway, since producers are worried about footfall. Even ‘Vakeel Saab’ footfall reduced from Monday,” he added.

Except “Vakeel Saab”, all theatres to be closed in Telangana till April 30

0

The Telangana film distributors and exhibitors association on Tuesday (today) decided to shut down all the theatres across Telangana from April 21 to April 30 except those theatres screening “Vakeel Saab” movie.

The association members held a meeting today to discuss the issue.

The association said the Telangana state government already decided to impose night curfew across the state and directed all shops, theatres etc to close by 8 pm till April 30.

In this backdrop, they have decided to close theatres completely till April 30 though the state government permitted them to operate till 8 pm every day till April 30.

They said the footfall to theatres already decreased drastically due to spread of coronavirus and they were incurring huge losses on account of this.

Sharmila campaign badly hit by Corona 2nd wave

1

For the past few weeks, YS Sharmila has been very active and taking out political protests and rallies. This was despite the rising Coronavirus infections and most politicians maintaining a low profile. She has also staged a Deeksha amidst large scale gathering of followers in Hyderabad against the KCR government. Now, the situation appears to have turned against her aggressive style. Over 10 members in YS Sharmila camp are stated to have tested Covid positive in the last few days.

As a result, her close followers have started going into home quarantine and taking preventive measures. The Lotus Pond residence, which was a beehive of activity till the other day, has now worn a deserted look. Even Sharmila herself has cut short her meetings with her party leaders.

The Covid second wave impact has also fallen on Sharmila’s grand plans to hold massive tours in the districts throughout the Telangana State. Close advisors are also cautioning against her tour schedules considering the rapid spread of the virus infections.

Till yesterday, none in the Telangana State appeared to be able to stop the YSR daughter. But now, the scene has changed with Sharmila being forced to go slow on her political campaigns.

Elections over, it’s time to hike charges in Telangana!

0

Telangana is witnessing consecutive elections since 2018.

KCR dissolved the Legislative Assembly in September 2018, which was nine month prior to the end of the Assembly’s tenure. Since then, there is an election environment in Telangana.

Assembly polls were held in December 2018. Next came Lok Sabha polls in April 2019. In this gap, KCR held polls for gram panchayats, zilla parishads, municipalities and municipal corporations till August 2019.

There was no political activity due to corona in 2020. However, in 2020-end, Dubbak Assembly bypoll and GHMC elections were held.

In March 2021, Graduate MLC polls were held. In April, Nagarjunasagar Assembly bypoll was held two days ago on April 17. Now, the elections for Warangal, Khammam municipal corporations and five other municipalities are going to be held on April 30.

Due to all these elections, KCR kept the proposals on power charges hike and TSRTC bus fares hike pending since 2018.

After April 30, all elections will be completed in Telangana. There will be no more elections in Telangana until December 2023 Assembly polls.

KCR has now reportedly decided to hike power charges and RTC ticket charges from June this year. The losses of Telangana Discoms and TSRTC have mounted to unbearable levels with no hike in charges for the last three years. In fact, power charges were last hiked in Telangana in April 2015.

KCR feels this is the right time to hike charges as there are no more elections in Telangana and hikes will not trouble TRS party or government in any form.

Supreme Court rejects stay of Telangana Judgment on Fraud Classification as per RBI Circular

0

In a setback to SBI and RBI, the Supreme Court has refused to stay the judgment dated December 10, 2020 of a Division Bench of the Telangana High Court, in appeals filed by SBI and RBI.

In the matter of State Bank of India & others Vs. Rajesh Agarwal & others, the appeals of SBI and RBI were heard by the Supreme Court bench of Justice R. F. Nariman, Justice B. R. Gavai and Justice H. Roy.

The Supreme Court has allowed the parties to file replies and rejoinders and listed the matter on July 13, 2021.

The Supreme Court also directed that the minutes / order of the Joint Lenders’ Meeting dated February 15, 2019 is not to be acted upon.

This order would be a major relief to other parties who are similarly placed and affected by fraud classification by lenders without the principles of natural justice being followed. As per the RBI circular on fraud classification, lenders are to file the complaint with CBI in the stipulated time. Based on this order, lenders and CBI cannot proceed.

The Telangana High Court had provided following reliefs as per its Judgment dated December 10, 2020:

“70.1. Firstly, the principle of audi alteram partem, part of the principles of natural justice, is to be read in Clause 8.9.4 and 8.9.5 of the Master Circular.

70.2. Secondly, the decision, dated 15.02.2019, passed by the JLF, and the resolution dated 31.07.2019, passed by the FIC are, hereby, set aside.

70.3. Thirdly, the JLF is directed to give an opportunity of hearing by furnishing copies of both the Reports, namely the Forensic Auditor Report, dated 06.04.2018 and the subsequent Report submitted by Dr. K.V. Srinivas, IRP, to the petitioner, and to the OL.

70.4. Fourthly, the JLF is directed to give an opportunity of personal hearing both to the petitioner and to the OL before taking any decision on the issue whether the account should be classified as ‘fraud’ or not?

70.5. Fifthly, after the JLF has taken its decision, the FIC is directed to pass its resolution whether the decision of the JLF should be confirmed or not?”

In a minor concession to the appellants, the Supreme Court stayed the Telangana High Court’s observation that a personal hearing be given.

Intensive sanitisation drive in Hyderabad due to Covid surge

1

Municipal authorities in Hyderabad on Sunday took up intensive sanitisation drive and sprayed sodium hypochlorite at several places in the city in view of the massive surge in Covid-19 cases.

On the direction of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K.T. Rama Rao, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) took up sanitisation on war footing.

Spraying of sodium hypochlorite was taken up at 636 places in the city by 453 teams of the Entomology Department. In a single day, they sprayed 900 litres of disinfectant. The teams used 840 sprayers, seven jet machines, 63 big fogging machines, and 302 small fogging machines for spraying in over 16,000 habitations.

Spraying of sodium hypochlorite was taken up twice in a day in areas where more number of Covid cases were being recorded. The authorities have made available 3,000 litres of the chemical in every GHMC zone. Emergency teams have been constituted at the zone and circle levels.

The spraying operations were mainly focused urban health centres, basti dawakhanas, places of worship, markets and other public places.

Mayor Vijayalaxmi Gadwal conducted a surprise visit at few places in the city to review the sanitisation drive, which will continue for three days.

The GHMC officials deployed additional vehicles to remove the garbage from garbage dumping points, roads and public places.

The Mayor also made a surprise visit in Khairatabad and Charminar zones to inspect the special sanitisation drive.

She was shocked to see garbage littered up to one kilometer on a road in Vijayanagar colony, summoned the Deputy Commissioner and directed him to immediately get the garbage cleared. She also spoke to the Zonal Commissioner over phone to convey her unhappiness. She directed that garbage be cleared immediately from all the places.

Telangana on Sunday reported over 5,000 cases during 24-hour period, the highest single day spike since the outbreak last year. Hyderabad alone accounted for more than 700 cases.

N.Sagar bypoll: Who will benefit from higher polling?

0

A higher polling percentage of over 88% per cent was recorded in Nagarjunasagar Assembly bypoll on Saturday (today).

This is more than 2018 Assembly polling percentage when 86.82% was recorded.

The higher polling percentage in bypoll naturally triggered a debate in political and media circles over who will benefit from this.

While one argument is that the higher polling percentage will benefit ruling TRS as it happened in recent Graduate MLC polls in which TRS won both the seats against all the expectations.

The other argument is that Congress will benefit out of higher polling percentage as voters turned out in large number to express their anger at the TRS government for its failure to fulfill several promises made during 2018 Assembly polls like giving new ration cards, new Aasara pensions, 2BHK houses, job notifications etc.

However, there is talk about a tough fight between TRS and Congress only and BJP is nowhere in the scene.

There is a talk that it is difficult for BJP even to retain its deposit in this bypoll though BJP sprang a surprise by defeating TRS in recent Dubbak bypoll.

Whether these arguments and speculations would turn out to be true or not will be known only on May 2 when the counting of votes takes place.

Parties in Telangana on alert to prevent poaching of leaders by Sharmila!

1

YS Sharmila, the daughter of late CM YS Rajashekar Reddy and the sister of AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy is facing allegations of trying to bribe leaders of various political parties in Telangana to join her political party to be launched on July 8.

Speculations are rife that Sharmila wants to utilise the remaining three months’ time before launching her party to lure as many noted Telangana leaders as possible into her party.

These speculations gain credence with prominent Congress leader from Warangal Konda Murali claiming that he got a phone call from Sharmla to join her party and she offered several crores of rupees to him in return.

Konda Murali and his wife Konda Surkha were staunch followers of YSR when they were in Congress. They remained staunch supporters of Jagan even after YSR’s death and participated in Jagan’s Odarpu Yatra in Telangana.

But after Jagan decided to confine himself to AP politics after launching YSRCP in 2011, differences cropped up between Jagan and Konda couple. They joined TRS later but quit TRS before 2018 December Assembly polls and joined Congress.

Konda Murali said he had rejected Sharmila’s offer and vowed to work in Congress saying that they had supported Jagan earlier when he was in jail but Jagan ignored them after coming out of jail.

Konda’s remarks on Sharmila created a stir in Telangana politics. Now all the parties are on high alert to prevent the poaching of their leaders by Sharmila.

Stage set for voting in Telangana’s Nagarjuna Sagar bypoll

1

The stage is set for polling in the by-election for Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly constituency in Telangana on Saturday.

The Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements for the polling at 346 centres in the constituency in Nalgonda district.

State Chief Electoral Officer Shashank Goel said polling will be held between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. All Covid guidelines will be adhered to during the polling, for which 5,535 personnel will be deployed.

The poll authorities have arranged 1,446 electronic voting machines. A total of 2,20,300 voters including 1,11,072 are eligible to cast their votes.

The by-election will decide the political fortunes of 41 candidates. However, the constituency is witnessing a triangular fight among ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and opposition Congress, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Seven time legislator and former minister K. Jana Reddy of Congress will be taking on two young debutants – Nomula Bhagat of the TRS and P. Ravi Kumar Naik of the BJP.

Stakes are high for Congress as it looks to wrest the seat from the TRS to revive its fortunes in its former stronghold ahead of 2023 Assembly polls.

Upbeat after winning both the seats of the state Legislative Council seat that went to polls last month, the TRS is making all-out effort to retain Nagarjuna Sagar and banking on sympathy factor by fielding Nomula Bhagat, son of Nomula Narasimhaiah whose death caused the vacancy.

The TRS choose Bhagat as the party candidate to cash in on the perceived sympathy factor. This was despite the TRS losing Dubbak Assembly to the BJP in November last year though the ruling party fielded S. Sujatha, widow of S. Ramalinga Reddy, whose death had necessitated the bypoll.

The Congress is banking heavily on the charisma of Jana Reddy, who won the seat in 2009 and 2014.

He was earlier elected five times from Chalakurthy constituency, which became Nagarjuna Sagar in the delimitation exercise in 2009.

The BJP has fielded Ravi Kumar Naik, a tribal, who had joined the saffron party only last month. He had resigned his government job as a medical officer of a primary health centre a year ago to start private practice.

The high-decibel campaign saw the participation by TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, state Congress President Uttam Kumar Reddy and state BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar. Congress in charge for Telangana Manickam Tagore and BJP’s central leader Tarun Chugh also addressed a few meetings.

After the shock defeat to the BJP in Dubbak, the TRS is not taking any chances in Nagarjuna Sagar. The Chief Minister, who had not campaigned in Dubbak, addressed a public meeting in Sagar as early as February 10 when he announced 14 lift-irrigation schemes on Nagarjuna Sagar left bank canal with a budget of Rs 3,000 crore. He addressed another election meeting on April 14.

In 2018, Nomula Narasimhaiah had won Nagarjuna Sagar seat by defeating Jana Reddy of Congress by about 8,000 votes. Nomula polled 83,655 votes while Jana Reddy garnered 75,884 votes.

BJP’s K. Niveditha Reddy had polled only 2,675 votes. Hoping that the party will name her as the candidate, Niveditha filed the nomination but the party ignored her. Her nomination was also rejected.

Sharmila undertakes fast to demand jobs for Telangana youth

Y.S. Sharmila, who plans to launch a new political party in Telangana in July this year, undertook a day-long fast here on Thursday to demand issuance of job notifications by the state government for the unemployed youth of Telangana.

Sharmila, the sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, sat on the fast at the Dharna Chowk in Indira Park here.

Speaking on the occasion, she questioned the silence of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao over the suicides by the unemployed youth, saying the CM should respond to the burning problem.

Sharmila, the daughter of former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, said that she would stand with the unemployed youth who are seeking jobs.

“Whether other opposition parties speak for you or not, I will stand by you,” she told the youth.

She said fasts and protests will continue across the state till the state government issues job notifications to fill the vacancies in various government departments.

She also alleged that dejected over the delay in job notifications, unemployed youth are ending their lives but the Chief Minister is neglecting the issue.

Recalling that the youth were in the forefront of the movement for statehood to Telangana, she demanded that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government should fulfil their aspirations by providing them jobs.

“There are 1.91 lakh vacancies in the state and the government should fill them first,” Sharmila said, as she appealed to the youth not to resort to suicides, assuring them that she would lead the fight to put pressure on the government to issue job notifications.

Sharmila had sought permission for a three-day fast, but the Hyderabad police granted only a day’s permission. Unemployed youth, students and leaders of various groups met her during the fast and expressed their solidarity.

Sharmila undertook the fast a week after addressing a public meeting at Khammam, where she announced that she will launch a political party on July 8, the birth anniversary of her father.

She said she would unveil the flag of the new party, its name and ideology on July 8.

The public meeting at Khammam was also addressed by Sharmila’s mother Y.S. Vijayamma, who appealed to the people to bless her daughter with their support.

Vijayamma also shared the dais with Sharmila at Thursday’s fast.

An interesting incident at the fast venue caught the attention of all and triggered speculation. While asking a video camerapersons to move aside, Sharmila remarked that Sakshi (the media house owned by her brother) will not give her coverage. Vijayamma, who was sitting next to her, was apparently taken aback. She immediately pat her with her hand in an obvious signal to stop.

Sharmila has been holding meetings with loyalists of her late father in Telangana for more than a month now as part of the preparations to float her political party in Telangana.

Andhra Pradesh’s ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has already made it clear that its leader Jagan Mohan Reddy has difference of opinion with his sister’s plan to enter Telangana politics and launch a new party.
