Young actor Nithiin and Venky Kudumula delivered a blockbuster like Bheeshma. Three years after that, they are back with a new film and the announcement was made today. Rashmika who played the female lead in Bheeshma is the leading lady in this film too. The makers released a short video byte which is quite hilarious. GV Prakash is the music composer and Mythri Movie Makers are the producers. The shoot commences very soon and the film will be made on a lavish scale. Nithiin is currently shooting for Vakkantham Vamsi’s film which will release this year.
Chiranjeevi, Venky Kudumula, DVV come together
It’s time for a grand partnership in Tollywood. For, Megastar Chiranjeevi has joined hands with director Venky Kudumula and producer DVV Danayya of DVV Entertainment.
While Venky Kudumula had earlier given us blockbusters like Chalo and Bheeshma, DVV Danayya is one of the leading producers and his upcoming project is RRR directed by S S Rajamouli.
Interestingly, Venky Kudumula had always maintained that he is a huge fan of Chiranjeevi. He is now said to be on cloud nine about directing him.
Dr Madhavi Raju will co-produce the film. More details about the project, which is set to hit the floors soon, will be revealed in coming days. Currently, Chiranjeevi is busy with Acharya and Godfather.

Nithiin is all set to test his luck after a year and half gap with Bheeshma. The film is surrounded by a positive buzz after the released singles and the trailer caught good attention. Venky Kudumula is the director and Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady. Manisharma’s son Mahati Swara Sagar composed the music.
Bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments, Bheeshma is releasing this Friday. Let’s see how this film has been executed.
Story:
Mr. Bheeshma (Anant Nag), CEO of ‘Bheeshma Organics‘, in search for his heir , finds an youngster Bheeshma (Nithiin ) as a suitable candidate. Jr.Bheeshma is named as the Operational CEO for 30 days. Rest of the film is how Bheeshma (Nithiin) proves his mettle as the CEO and in parallel how he handles love interest Chaitra (Rashmika)!!
Analysis:
‘Bheeshma‘ is a slick film with a simple storyline. It starts off with the routine stuff. Hero Bheeshma is introduced as a jobless bachelor, desperate to find a girlfriend. To put him on the right track, his uncle (Brahmaji ) places him as an assistant to ACP (Sampath). Bheeshma flirts with the ACP’s daughter, Chaitra (Rashmika) and eventually both fall in love. Meanwhile, to everyone’s surprise, Bheeshma Organics CEO names Nithiin as the interim CEO of his company. This marks the interval of the film. First half has decent entertainment elements. The dialogues, situations are not routine ones. Post interval twist is the crux of the film, next forty minutes of the film is fast paced and packed with humor.
The rivalry between the Field Sciences group, led by Raghavan (Jisshu Sen Gupta), and the Bheeshma Organics group covers the required villainy portion of the film. Why the older Ceo of the Bheeshma group , named Nithiin as his heir is the driving point in the second half. The graph goes flat in pre climax and climax portions. Vennela Kishore, Minister (Ajay) scenes work for galleries. Overall, the post interval scenes are good, even though it occasionally gets a bit boring. Finally script wise, all open points are neatly connected. There is no strong point for former CEO to search next CEO from ideological standpoint, it mostly academic. A crisp back story for the old CEO would have helped form an emotional point of view.
Songs are not great but not bad either, they’re adequate. Production values by Sithara Entertainments are rich. They have spent lavishly on this film. Mahati Sagar music is adequate.
Performances:
Nithiin as Bheeshma has enjoyed the role. He looked comfortable and performed good as well. Rashmika is cute and the right fit for Chaithra role. Hebbah Patel played a cameo role.
Vennela Kishore, Raghubabu , Sampth, Naresh , Nellore accent Sudhakar – everyone played their role as needed. Jisshu Sen Gupta as villain is cool.

- Lack of Emotional Connect (Adding an emotional back story for old CEO would have helped on this)

Verdict:
Bheeshma is a surprise package with its clean comedy, skillful direction and screenplay. Director Venky Kudumula has executed a simple plot with a contemporary thought process. The thin story line and partly boring 2nd half are only negative aspects of the film. Overall, Bheeshma may turn up as a winner at the Boxoffic , a much needed hit for Hero Nithiin!!

Nithiin gives ample time to Chalo director
After delivering a hat-trick of box office duds, young hero Nithiin is desperate to make a strong comeback with his next film. He has green signaled the script narrated by Chalo director Venky Kudumula. The pre production activities are currently underway and the regular shooting will commence in December.
Nithiin wants to come up with a good entertainer. So, he has advised Venky to take his own time and ensure that the narration doesn’t miss the mark. Impressed with Chalo, Nithiin asked Venky to include a good dose of entertainment that will appeal well to all sections of audience. The film will be high on entertainment like Chalo with an interesting backdrop.
Happening beauty Rashmika Mandanna is in talks to play the film’s leading lady. As she is a lucky charm for Telugu films these days, Nithiin suggested her name and got her on board. Devi Sri Prasad will render the soundtrack and Sithara Entertainments banner will bankroll the film.
Chalo director gets a shot in the arm
Venky Kudumula, a protege of Trivikram Srinivas, made an impressive debut as director with Naga Shaurya’s Chalo. The novel storyline laced with humour aplenty penned by Venky has worked bigtime and resulted in hit reports from all corners. The film has been running with strong collections in all areas.
The critical applause for Chalo seems to have given a big fillip to Venky’s career as director. According to the latest reports, Venky has bagged a golden offer from Haarika and Haasine Creations, a leading production house which bankrolled Trivikram’s all recent outings.
The production house has agreed to pool resources for Venky’s next project which is likely to feature a top actor in the lead role. The Chalo director is currently busy with the script work and more details about the project will be known in the due course.
