It’s time Centre should muzzle Jagan Govt: Yanamala

0

Is everything not going well for CM Jagan at the national level? Or, is TDP expecting Central in AP too early? However, former Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu appeals to the Central government to immediately intervene and make the YSRCP government to abide by the Constitution of India without trampling upon the democratic rights of the people, opposition parties, employees and poorer sections of society in Andhra Pradesh.

The Opposition Leader in AP Legislative Council asked the Centre to invoke Articles 256 and 257 in order to muzzle the recalcitrant and tyrannical Jaganmohan Reddy government which has been ceaselessly undermining all the Constitutionally established institutions in the state. It is high time for the Modi government to closely monitor and enforce its routine COVID-19 advisories effectively in AP in view of the state reporting steep rise in +ve cases because of utter negligence and failure of the State government. Thousands of migrant labourers are staying on the roadsides without basic facilities while AP government is carelessly diverting Central Corona funds without using them for relief activities. Jagan Reddy government is not duly implementing Central guidelines and advisories at all.

Mr. Yanamala told the Centre that AP has been turned into a ‘Police Raj’ with non-stop political harassment of all Opposition parties and Amaravati Capital City shifting was proposed without the consent of the President and in violation of the AP Reorganisation Act 2014. State Election Commissioner Ramesh Kumar was removed in violation of the Constitutional provisions that guarantee SEC his 5-year term without disruption. AP violated Article 243 (K) of Constitution which barred any actions that would affect services of SEC.

Stating that SEC orders were not implemented regarding suspensions of election officials, Mr. Yanamala said that the state government is not even following the orders of the courts. CM Jagan has miserably failed to safeguard the health of the people in the face of a dangerous epidemic. Even the 73rd and 74th amendment provisions were also violated by changing local body election guidelines without taking prior approval of the President. States do not have such powers to usurp the Central powers arbitrarily.

Mr. Yanamala appealed to the Centre to issue specific guidelines to the AP government to mandatorily implement all the Central advisories and also put in a mechanism to enforce this if the state government remains uncooperative as before.

Why only Rs 30 cr released for COVID-19 fight? Yanamala asks

0

The YCP Government has not spent even 35 per cent of Rs. 2.27 lakh cr budget in the first six months of last year. TDP former finance minister says that nearly 65 per cent funds of last year budget are still with AP government. There was zero spending on Capital investments or development projects. But now, the government is cutting salaries. It has released only Rs. 30 cr so far for Coronavirus preventive mesures.

He has accused the Jaganmohan Reddy government of violating its oaths and Constitutional responsibilities by neglecting and endangering the health and safety of the people of Andhra Pradesh. It was sheerly because of the government’s negligence that the deadly virus has begun spreading fast in different districts in the state.

Just Rs. 30 crore was released for buying Corona masks and other equipment in this crucial hour as against a total budget of Rs. 11,399 Cr allocated for the medical and health department. Yanamala told CM Jagan that a real ruler is the one who rescues people in deep crisis. True leadership is when the people are given assurance in times of difficulties but not throwing them into confusion and chaos. Is lockdown only for people but not YCP leaders and their illegal sand mining?

Jagan Delhi flight charges not recovered, says Yanamala

0

TDP former finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu asked why YCP is not giving full details of CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s meeting outcome with Prime Minister Modi. Where is the necessity to visit Delhi again in just two days to meet Amit Shah? Yanamala said that though Jagan Reddy is making so many visits to Delhi, the Centre is not releasing any funds. Even CM’s flight charges are not being recovered as the Centre is giving zero response.

Yanamala demanded that the YCP government explain whether or not the global CEOs gave a negative feedback on the AP country at Davos Economic Summit. Is it not true that a Union Minister has reported this to PM Modi? Yanamala asked whether there is a possibility any more for YCP government to get Central funds after its thoughtless policies against global investors. The overall economy of AP is in deep trouble with poorest revenues and absence of enough Capital expenditure.

Yanamala asked whether Jagan Reddy’s tomorrow visit to Delhi is a personal visit or something really related to the people of the state. He warned the YCP government to face the consequences for pushing the state into an irreversible crisis with hopeless policies.

Jagan terrified of speedy court trials: Ex Minister

0

The TDP is accusing CM Jaganmohan Reddy of damaging Andhra prestige in the streets of Delhi. Union Ministers are not giving appointments to Jagan just because he is asking for illegal personal favours to escape from the Rs 43,000 Cr CBI assets cases. Ex Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that the YSR son is clearly shivering in terror of the fast speeding up trials of his corruption cases in CBI Special Court. Till now, Jagan Reddy somehow dragged the trials by various dubious appeals. But now, time is running out. The day is fast and for Jagan to get punishment in the massive fraud cases.

The former minister further said that Amit Shah is also avoiding AP CM just because he is not representing any issues of public interest in AP. Every time, CMO officials are failing to give proper official reasons to get Shah appointment. From this, it is clear how much worried that Jagan Reddy is about the progress of CBI court trials.

Ramakrishnudu said that there is no escaping for Jagan Reddy from the CBI cases. CM is facing serious charges of money laundering and FEMA violations of the highest order. Jagan is also facing allegations of spending huge public funds on special flights to Delhi for personal favours.

Is all-round destruction of AP Jagan’s immediate dream?

0

TDP senior leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu was a long-time finance minister of united AP and separated Andhra. He accused Jagan Circar of pursuing hopeless economic policies that have led to early depression and financial crisis in the state. He says that the immediate dream of CM Jaganmohan Reddy is to destroy Andhra in every angle so as to benefit Hyderabad in a very big way. All global companies are running to Telangana Capital. Jagan’s anti-Andhra policies are apparently in return for the support that KCR has given YCP in AP elections in 2019.

The Ex Finance Minister says that Jagan’s reverse ruling has put AP in the reverse mode in which all developmental activities have come to a standstill. While Chandrababu brought global recognition to Andhra, Jagan is defaming the state at every global forum and in every sector.

Jagan Regime’s retrograde policies have given blows to the agriculture, industry, real estate and other growth engines to the state’s economy. Ramakrishnudu said that it was at the instructions of Jagan only that Minister Botsa Satyanarayana is making all the possible nonsensical statements on the state’s Capital City. Seeing all this, Jagan’s only aim and objective is to demolish and destroy all systems and organisations in Andhra so that the consequential benefits would go to Hyderabad.

MLC Ticket Confirmed for Yanamala!!

0

Election Commission has released schedule for MLC elections in Telugu states on Monday. But there is still some uncertainty in TDP circles about the list of candidates to be allocated seats. Both TDP and YSRCP can win five MLCs on their own as per their strength in Assembly. It seems like Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu is sure of getting another chance.

According to the party sources, TDP is going to allocate MLC seat to the leaders who are not going to contest in Assembly elections. P.Narayana, Minister for Municipal Administration is going to retire as MLC and is planning to contest in the upcoming Assembly polls. And the other two MLCs- Samanthakamani and Aadi Reddy Apparao may not be given a chance this time.

Former president of AP NGO Society Ashok Babu is also included in the MLC race. It is heard that there are chances of Vangaveeti Radha to get MLC, given he joins TDP. If the notification for filling MLCs under Governor’s quota comes out, Minister Asinarayana Reddy’s son Subbarami Reddy may get a chance instead of Rama Subba Reddy who was elected under the same quota and Nellore Mayor Aziz may get the chance in place of Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy who is also in the race for MLC.

Modi helping Jagan in CBI cases: TDP Minister

0

Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu says there is deliberate interference in the changing of CBI judge on the part of the Modi government. This was done only to cause further delay in the hearing of the Jaganmohan Reddy’s assets cases and thereby help the Opposition leader to escape from punishment.

Yanamala says the Modi government is trying to use Jagan party to take its revenge against the Chandrababu Naidu government in AP which is not acceptable to the people here. During his visit to East Godavari, the Minister has attacked Jagan saying the YCP leader will one day have to pay back for all the corruption he has done during the regime of his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy in United AP.

There are reports a relook is now necessary into the Jagan’s assets cases because of the change of CBI judge and this will take a lot of time. Yanamala has also taken objection to the transfer of ‘Kodi Kathi’ case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and this is going to be done with a bias towards the AP government. Kodi Kathi case involves the alleged attempt to murder on Jagan’s life in Vizag airport. The AP police have completed investigation and dismissed the murder theory behind the attack.

Even Centre cannot stop Polavaram Project Funds – Yanamala

0

AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu expressed his displeasure over the Centre’s demeanour in the Lok Sabha. He alleged that it is the Central Government that is stopping the NCM from being moved in the house.

‘I strongly believe the Centre is involved in stopping the NCM from being moved. Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan should direct an inquiry into this. The BJP is behaving similarly to Congress at the time of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

In accordance with the provision, the states will receive funds. Just because TDP is planning to move the NCM in Lok Sabha, the Centre cannot stop the releasing of Polavaram Funds. The project works are being carried under the supervision of Polavaram Authority. On whom will the Centre direct an investigation?’, questioned Yanamala Ramakrishnudu.

He further added that ‘the Centre is ensuring that necessary bills are passed. But, it is obstructing the NCM from being moved’.

If Yanamala believes that Centre cannot stop the releasing of funds, then why is TDP crying foul on BJP and PM Modi, for insufficient funds being released towers the state? So who is lying now?

Escaping NCM is nothing short of political suicide!

0

AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu rehearsed that Centre’s attempt to escape ‘No-Confidence Motion’ is nothing short of a political suicide. Talking to the media outside the AP Assembly, the AP Minister made these comments. He further reinstated that, it is the (Central) Government’s responsibility to ensure that the house (Lok Sabha) runs smoothly.

At the same time, it is highly unfair on the part of the Speaker not to introduce the no-confidence in the house, citing ‘lack of order’ in the house, said Yanamala Ramakrishnudu.

Surprisingly, the minister conveniently ignored to speak about the ‘parties’ responsible for creating a ruckus in the house. If they are so concerned about moving the no-confidence motion, they could have held a roundtable conference with TRS and AIDMK leader at least today evening.

Why are TDP leaders more interested in making allegations, rather than finding solutions? Many analysts claimed that moving no-confidence motion is a test for Chandrababu’s political capability. If that is the case, the AP CM will fail this time. Many see this whole episode as ‘eyewash’.

AP Team meets Arun Jaitley! Madcon ‘Beggin…’ show continues

AP Team of Ministers representing Government of Andhra Pradesh met the Cabinet Financial Minister Arun Jaitley. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu stated that, they conveyed to Arun Jaitley that, Special Category Status should be granted to Andhra Pradesh at any cost. Similarly, the AP MPs also reinstated, all the Special Category Status benefits should be given to AP without any compromise.

It further said that ‘Tax Concessions, Central Grants, Industrial incentives are the lifeline of Andhra Pradesh. Given the extension of the Special Category Status to the existing 11 states in the Country, even the Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh should also be granted.’

Shockingly, after hearing to the AP Team of Ministers, Arun Jaitley stated that ‘Industrial Incentives’ aspect is completely under Suresh Prabhu, and a circular from him should be released. Factually speaking, PM Modi has the ultimate say regarding the granting of Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.

The meeting with Arun Jaitley took place in his office. Cabinet Minister Sujana Chowdary, MP Ram Mohan Rao, Kutumba Rao, Kambhampati Hari Babu (BJP), Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, and other TDP leaders.
Interestingly, Amit Shah ditched the meeting last minute.

GST: Andhra demands exemption for textiles, fertilisers

Andhra Pradesh has demanded exemption for both textiles and fertilisers from the Goods and Services Tax, while the GST Council meeting here on Sunday has already decided that e-way bill will be optional.

Briefing reporters here during a pause in the Council’s 17th meeting, Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that he has requested that textiles and fertilisers be exempted from the GST.

He also said that commercial tax from all border posts will be removed from July 1 when the GST goes into operation, replacing the existing myriad central and state levies on both goods and services.

Ramakrishnudu also said that the Council turned down all the other representations for revision in rates, after it had agreed to revision for a number of items at its previous meeting here on June 11.

Maharashtra Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said that the e-way bill will be optional under the GST.

“States which have an e-way bill structure in place can continue with it. However, since Maharashtra does not have a e-way bill facility, the state will not be implementing it,” he said.

E-way bill is an electronic way bill for movement of goods which can be generated on the GST Network (GSTN) portal. Movement of goods of more than Rs 50,000 in value cannot be made by a registered person without an e-way bill.

Mungantiwar also said that the structure of the proposed anti-profiteering committee has been finalised and that lottery tickets were likely to attract a tax of either 18 per cent or 28 per cent, the highest slabs in the four-tier new indirect tax rate structure.

Andhra Pradesh Assembly passes the GST bill

Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly ratified the Goods and Services Tax (GST) bill in a special session on Tuesday becoming the 13th state to pass the bill. After the Assembly commenced for the Special session, YCP introduced adjournment motion which the Speaker Kodela Shivaprasad rejected. The opposition members started protesting, shouting slogans and subsequently gheraoed the Speaker’s podium. YCP did not object GST bill was trying to stall the session seeking minimum support price (MSP) for chilli farmers and demanded setting up a price stabilization fund.

Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, introduced the GST Bill in AP Legislative Assembly amid the chaos. He said that GST will not cause burden to the customer and that it is being implemented around the world. Amidst the slogans of oppositions, speaker allowed debate on the bill.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that the GST will be useful in evading double taxation. He said after the economic reforms, GST is another revolutionary reform. He said the Union government with the slogan “One nation, one tax” has come out with this innovative programme. TDP MLA, Ananda Rao said GST will reduce transport costs.

Apart from the GST bill, Amendments to the Public Service Act to make Ace badminton player P V Sindhu the Deputy Collector was passed. The House was adjourned sine dine.

TDP’s trademark response – “Jagan has no right”

In his second open letter to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu within three months, YSR Congress Party (YCP) chief Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that the TDP government failed to pay unemployment allowance. The letter was similar to the one he wrote in February before budget session, but this time he accused the government for failing to disburse the amount, as Naidu claimed that a budgetary allocation had been made for the unemployment allowance.

It may be recalled that the Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu presenting the budget said that rupees 500 crores had been allocated for “assistance” to unemployed youth. The TDP government allegedly is studying the course for distribution of the allowance to the unemployed youth in the State. It’s been a few months and there is hardly any progress on the process or update on the study.

TDP leaders react impulsively over Jagan writing a letter instead of acting on the content in the letter. As always TDP Minister Kollu Ravindra and MLA Bonda Uma Maheshwar Rao in their trade mark style said, “Jagan has no right to talk on unemployment”. Last week when the YCP chief took up hunger strike for two days, they said “he is not eligible”.

Jagan basically has “no right to speak on defections”, “no right to talk about corruption in the dealing of Capital lands”, “no right to demand SCS”, “no right to criticize TDP or Chandrababu”, “no right to talk about loan waiver”, “no moral right to continue as Leader of the Opposition” and finally “no right on YSR’s schemes”. Last but not the least, in the budget session, Yanamala found fault with Jagan using the washroom during the discussion.

Despite being in opposition for ten years, TDP leaders weirdly have new criteria for the opposition leader each time he tries to do something. The ruling party leaders might as well release a booklet with the opposition leader’s privileges and entitlements. Anyhow Jagan’s wrongdoings are always on the tip of their tongue. Irony dies a thousand deaths, when the same TDP in Telangana, question counterpart TRS government’s repressive behaviour. Why have double standards when TDP can do just fine with one standard.

Amaravati will be free of casino and race course

0

Though chief minister Chandrababu Naidu plans to build new capital Amaravati into a world-class city, it would be free of casinos and race-course. This was made clear by finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu today in Assembly when BJP member suggested that government should consider setting up casinos in Amaravati. Even though casinos and race-clubs help shore up revenues, there was no proposal to set up casinos in new capital, the minister said.

According to Vishnukumar Raju, several people from Visakhapatnam and Godavari districts often go outside the state to play and place bets in casinos in Goa and Sri Lanka. Government should think of establishing casinos, horse racing clubs in the Amaravati to make city an entertainment centre as well.

“If Casinos are set up in the State itself, government can earn revenue from these centres in the form of taxes”, P. Vishnukumar Raju said participating in a discussion on the amendment to AP (Telangana Area) Horse Racing and Betting Tax Regulation.

The Finance Minister however responded that there was no proposal now to set up casinos.
