YSRCP confirms next Rajya Sabha member from the party

0

Rajya Sabha elections are due this April. Around 59 MPs will be retiring from the upper house. From Telugu states, Chiranjeevi , Renuka Chowdhury, Devender Goud , C.M. Ramesh, Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar will be retiring. Most of the congress MPs may not get renomination. YSRCP will get one MP seat from their party as per their strength in Assembly.

Now YSRCP confirmed the name of Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, owner of mining infra company VPR Mining Infra Private Ltd, for the Rajya Sabha seat. He joined YSRCP in 2013 and tried to get Rajya Sabha MP seat in 2016. But the party given it to Vijay Sai Reddy. He resigned to all the party posts of YSRCP in 2016 and there were even rumours that he may get nomination from TDP as 4th candidate. However that did not happen. Anyway now this industrialist is officially announced as Rajya Sabha MP candidate from YSRCP.

YSRCP giving its only MP seat to industrialist who is not active in the party may cause displeasure among the senior leaders in the party who are also expecting Rajya Sabha seat. Also, it is to be note, party’s MP seat in 2016 and 2018 will go to the same community, giving wrong (or right?) signals to people.

Is Jagan owning an RBI Printing Press?

7

YSRCP Chief YS Jagan’s sops continue to amaze. Jagan who is on ‘Praja Sankalpa Yatra’ is coming up with one of the wildest promises ever heard in the history of politics. We have seen governments requesting the parents from BPL families to send to schools. To further encourage them, many governments came up with the mid-deal meal program, free books, and even free uniform. It looks like YS Jagan has a different route altogether. The YSRCP Supremo has promised a sum of Rs 15K to the parents (probably from BPL families) who send their children to school.

‘Isn’t it because of the barbaric rule of the TDP Government and Chandrababu, I had to come up with Praja Sankalpa Yatra? Everyone here is homeless. Despite the (water) canals in reach, the farmlands have turned out to be drought-affected areas.

Isn’t it true that Chandrababu is deceiving everyone, right from the DWCRA Groups and to other saving schemes? If our Government (YSRCP) comes into power with all your blessings and God’s grace, do you all have an idea what we would be doing? I know many of you know, but if there are few people who don’t about our welfare schemes, do educate them. Our government will give Rs 15,000 to the families sending their kids to school’, said Jagan.

Further increasing his limitless sops list, the YSRCP Supremo said, ‘once we come to power, the age limit for pensioners will be reduced to 45. All standing loans you all have (until 2019 elections) in DWCRA groups and other saving schemes, our government will clear them, by handing you the loan amount in cash, in 4 instalments’.

The Andhra Pradesh’s state deficit and lack of financial resources make the sops offered by Jagan a mere election-promise. Jagan should own an RBI Printing Press if he ever wants to stick to his promises. If not, the other way is to bring back the black money lying in godowns of various political leader. The readers of Telugu360 know whom we are talking about!

One more YSRCP MLA into TDP?

0

Is Guntur (East) MLA from YSRCP, Mustafa defecting into TDP? Will YSRCP lose one more wicket? Is Rayapati doing mediation between this MLA and CM Chandra babu Naidu? These are the hot discussions going on in political circles now. As per these discussions it is almost confirmed that Mustafa is turning coat and it is jut a matter of time to make it official.

CM Chandrababu was in Guntur to inaugurate Omega Hospital . While the CM wa in town, member of Parliament Rayapati Sambasivarao met CM along with YSRCP MLA Mustafa. Mustafa, who won against TDP candidate Giridhara Rao in 2014 elections, has been in touch with some of the TDP leaders for some time, as per the grapevine. So, Mustafa, Rayapati had some private discussions with Chandra Babu for around 20 minutes. What transpired among them is not known to anyone but many predict, Mustafa might have been all set to join the ruling party soon. It is to be recalled that, almost one year back also Mustafa met Chandra Babu when he was in Guntur for laying foundation stone of a hotel.

However, Mustafa told the press that he is not joining TDP and he met CM only for discussing development activities of the constituency. He also said, CM agreed to grant funds worth of 2 crore for the development of the constituency. But there are not many takers for these statements.

So far, around 20 MLAs from YRCP have joined TDP and 3 of them are ministers. We have to wait and see, what lies ahead for Mustafa.

Hopes rise in YSRCP on ‘disqualifications’

0

The recent statement given by the Vice President of India Mr. Venkaiah Naidu on action against the MPs who shifted parties in coming three months is rising hopes in Y.S.R. Congress Party that four MPs from the party will be disqualified.

Since three-and-half year, the YSRCP has been urging the speaker of Lok Sabha for the disqualifications of four MPs who shifted to TRS and TDP. In 2014 general elections, S.P.Y. Reddy, Kotthapally Geetha, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Butta Renuka won from YSRCP. Later Mr. Ponguleti joined in TRS and the other three shifted to TDP.

YSRCP MP Y.V.Subba Reddy told media that the party had been asking Lok Sabha speaker to disqualify the four MPs under schedule-10 of the constitution. Besides MPs, 22 MLAs and an MLC from YSRCP were changed to TDP earlier. “Telugu Desam Party which announced ‘no opposition’ earlier is still trying to lure our MLAs. Out of 22 party changed MLAs, the TDP took four in its cabinet. It is purely unethical,” YSRCP senior leader and ex-Minister Mr. Botcha Satyanarayana said.

With recent announcement of Venkaiah Naidu, the hopes on disqualification of the four MPs, 22 MLAs and one MLC are rising in YSRCP. But, political experts are saying that there will no use if the parliament takes action as 2019 general elections will be ahead in couple of months from the action.

Overconfident Y.S. Jagan finalizes his cabinet ministers ?

0

Jagan’s padayatra that started on 6th November (2017) is going on successfully and it is more than 50 days since he started his foot march. However, some seniors of YSRCP, who wanted to join a few more leaders into the party to strengthen the party, were shocked by Jagan’s response on such proposal. It seems, Jagan was against joining any more big leaders into his party. Reportedly, he told –

“We can’t join those senior leaders into our party. They are big leaders and if they join our party now, they will expect cabinet ministries when we form government in 2019. As I have already finalized the compilation of my cabinet, I can’t join these senior leaders”

Obviously, senior leaders of YSRCP were appalled by Jagan’s response and they felt, Jagan must have become over-confident after seeing so many people coming to his padayatra. He might be thinking all those coming to see him during Padayatra will vote him, but which is not the case. They remind, even during Nandyala by-poll also so many people came to Jagan’s meetings but the party lost in the elections miserably.

Moreover, we can recall what happened before 2014. Then also, Jagan party was full of leaders and he declined some last minute joiners. There were rumors those days that leaders like Ganta Srinivas were declined entry into YSRCP and so he joined TDP later. Had he joined YSRCP, the party’s fate in Vizag might be different and the prospects of Vizag MP candidate (YS Vijayamma) also might be different. It is surprising to see Jagan committing the same mistake again.

Moreover, Jagan saying his 2019 cabinet is already compiled is shocking as well as ridiculous. Even the most senior leaders in the country who became chief ministers couple of times might have never fully compiled their cabinets much before elections. Probably, this only shows his over confidence. Seems, ruling party’s USP in 2019 would be Jagan’s over-confidence and his inability to turn anti-incumbency into votes.

Any takers for YSRCP logic on dropping out of MLC polls?

0

YSRCP announced that it is dropping out of the contest in by-elections to MLC elections from Kurnool (local bodies category). Actually the announcement surprised YSRCP cadre. With Silpa Chakrapani Reddy resigning to MLC post while leaving TDP before Nandyal by-polls, the seat fell vacant.

However Silpa Chakrapani Reddy confirmed that he or his party would not contest the MLC elections. He told he has resigned from the post on moral grounds and he doesn’t want to contest for the same post that he only has given up. Other YSRCP leaders alleged that the ruling TDP continues to ridicule the democracy with its corrupt practices. They told that they are staying away from the election race even though the party has good number of MPTCs and ZPTCs in Kurnool – just to uphold democratic values. YSRCP leader BY Ramaiah alleged that Telugu Desam Party managed to win the MLC seat twice by undemocratic means and made a mockery of elections although the YSRCP had a majority in local bodies. Finally, they emphasized that they are staying away from the elections just to save democracy in the state.

Though the YSRCP leaders are giving big statements like “to save democracy”, and making tall claims like “this is the seat we relinquished”, analysts say YSRCP had opted out of the contest as they are not in a position to win the elections. Moreover, leaders like Silpa are opting out only to avoid spending money on a losing battle. May be they want to save the money for 2019 general elections.

So, it is clear that YSRCP is staying away to save the face now, because after facing defeat in Nandyal and Kakinada, another defeat will definitely put YSRCP in embarrassing position yet again. So, obviously, no takers for YSRCP’s claims that they opted out of elections to “save the democracy” and “to uphold democratic values”.

Jagan’s praja sankalpa yatra crosses 500 km mark

0

YSRCP president and Opposition leader in AP Assembly, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy crossed 500 km mark in his Praja Sankalpa Yatra. He completed 500 km milestone as he reached Gotluru village in Anantapur district on Saturday. Beginning his padayatra in Idupulapaya, he has so far covered 3 districts – Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapur. YS Jagan tweeted from his official handle, in this regard. He tweeted –

“The 500 km mark. I am more motivated than ever to continue this journey of mine across AP, meeting each & every one of you. I am walking amid broken hopes, broken trust & broken promises. I feel the pain, the anger. Every step strengthens my resolve. Every step is a rededication.”

Jagan started Pada yatra in the month of November and has been addressing several issues during his yatra. Response from masses for the yatra is good but the analysts so far pointed out couple of mistakes like – his speeches being self-centered and repeatedly telling that I will resolve all the issues after becoming CM. However, masses seem to have not bothered much about such analysis and attending Jagan’s meetings in huge numbers. Jagan has been talking on various issues and slamming the ruling party and Chandrababu Naidu for failing to keep up the promises. Jagan is yet to cover 2,500 km and 10 districts which will take at least another 5 months.

Roja’s language detrimental to YSRCP?

0

Roja has always been in the news with her sharp comments on the opponents. In fact not many cinema heroines has the political knowledge as much she has. She is always ready to discuss on any political topic without any preparation. But the main problem with her is she suddenly loses her control and gives some nasty comments that will spoil the entire mood of the debate and finally harms her and her party. The way she spoke in a TV debate with Bandla Ganesh yesterday appalled many.

The debate was about the speech of Pawan Kalyan and his remarks on YS Jaganmohan Reddy regarding dynasty politics. Pawan Kalyan found fault with Jagan aspiring for CM seat immediately after his father’s death. Roja strongly responded to this remark and commented even Pawan Kalyan has come to film industry because of his brother Chiranjeevi only. So the debate was on PK’s comments, Roja’s response on that and her language while responding. During the debate she lost control and questioned Bandla Ganesh in a nasty language (equating him as a pimp) and told she will knock his teeth out. Bandla also fired on her shameful language, being an MLA.

Roja’s language has always been detrimental to her party. Many people still opine Roja’s comments during Nandyala bypoll regarding Akhila’s dressing turned the tide in favour ruling party. Even though Jagan also made some ‘violent’ comments. many YSRCP fans opine it is Roja’s comments that did more damage to the party. Some YSRCP fans even went on to the extent of suspecting whether she is a covert from other parties to damage YSRCP. Though that is not true, she needs to use the words carefully being in public life. Her foul language should not be encouraged and she has to change herself on how she talks in the presence of media.

Pawan Kalyan Warns TDP, YSRCP and BJP

Janasena Party Chief Pawan Kalyan has lent his support to the employees who are agitating against the privatization of Dredging Corporation of India, on Wednesday. He also expressed his solidarity for the family members of DCI employee Venkatesh, who died due to fear of losing his job. Pawan Kalyan demanded the government and union ministers announce an ex gratia to his family members.

Addressing the gathering, he questioned that DCI never been part of any financial scams and why the government is planning to make it privatized. Janasena Chief shared that he supported TDP and BJP in last elections hoping that they will definitely help the people, but if they are not doing so, then he is always there to question and ready to fight against them.

He warned BJP government that if they won’t stop the privatization of DCI, then the downfall of BJP in Vishakhapatnam will start soon.

On this occasion, he made it clear to the public, that he didn’t want to have any position in the assembly or parliament to solve these issues and never wants to become Chief Minister. “I am always a servant to the public and every politician should start believing, that there is no need to hold any power to solve public issues.”

When the people started shouting ‘CM, CM’, he confessed that to become CM, one should have a lot of experience, as it is not just a position, but a huge responsibility. “Not just CM, one needs to have experienced even to become MLA or MP. It’s not about the power, but the love and responsibility that one has towards the people.”

Pawan even targeted YSRCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy and made some sensational comments on them.

Blisters on feet, will Jagan take a break for Padayatra

0

YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s Padayatra going on successfully for almost 3 weeks. He covered almost 300 km in this 3 weeks period. He is currently touring Aluru constituency in Kurnool district. But he had developed blisters on his feet that gives raise to the doubts whether he will continue or take a break.

The pictures of Jagan foot developing on his feet and fingers have come out and it seems his wife Bharati also reached that place to inquire his health condition. Jagan got blisters on feet now and he is yet to cover almost 2700 km as part of this Padayatra and that is causing concern to his followers and well wishers. On the other hand though the others like YSR, CBN had also developed blisters and other problems, Jagan getting problems in the first 3 weeks of padayatra that is planned for 6 months surprised many and some doubt whether he will continue his yatra or take a break for few days.

YSRCP circles say, he got specialized treatment for this and he is going to continue padayatra as he has tremendous will power. But we have to wait and see whether he will continue all 3000 km without taking any break or will there be any break for a few days. Onething is clear, Pdayatra is not everyone’s cup of tea!!

Are these two, next big wickets from YSRCP?

0

Recently DP senior leader and AP minister Achen Naidu has said that the TDP is trying to bring a few more big heads from the YSRCP into his party. He said that they have already initiated talks with those YSRCP leaders. He added, If they also come, our objective would be achieved and YSRCP will be left with just a couple of MLAs. Ever since these comments were made, hot debates happening in political circles about who those big wigs are.

If grapevine reports are to be believed, Srikanth Reddy and Mekapati are those big heads planning to jump ship next. If it happens, huge blow for YSR CP. Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy is currently representing the Nellore Loksabha. He won one time as MLA and 5 times as MP. He is senior leader and his defection will impact morale of YRSCP cadre. Mekapati also open to change, but so far his son is stopping him so far. MLA Srikanth Reddy is in huge financial trouble. He spent on two elections and full time in opposition last 8 years. So he is also thinking of defecting.

It seems to be Chandra Babu’s master mind to pull YSRCP leaders exactly during when Jagan is doing Padayatra. Usually Padayatra’s are done by the politicians to mingle with people and project themselves as someone winning people’s trust. But by making his own party leaders defect exactly during that time, CBN conveying people that leaders from his own party don’t trust Jagan anymore.

We have to wait and see how many more will turncoat from YSRCP and finally how many will remain.

YSRCP woman MLA to join TDP ?

0

YSRCP MLA Giddi Eswari planning to join TDP

Is YSRCP Paderu MLA Giddi Eswari planning to join TDP soon? This is thr latest rumor doing rounds in political circles. Recently she had expressed her disappointment openly and she even had an altercation with Vijaya sai Reddy.

Recently YSRCP advised her to contest for MP seat in the next elections as YSRCP is expected to be given to Ravi Babu who recently joined YSRCP from TDP. She also seem to be upset with Vijaya Sai Reddy as he was the one who negotiated with Ravi Babu and assured him of MLA seat and even got Jagan’s approval for the same. In a recent meeting, MLA she questioned Vijay Sai Reddy regarding the same and he tried to convince her but in vein. After learning she is very much upset with the party and top leadership, some TDP leaders did touch base with her it seems. If reports from grapevine to be believed, she will be joining TDP officially soon.

YSRCP leaders confusion on Nandi Awards

0

Recent Nandi awards created lot of furor among film circles. It is not stopping but growing day by day. Gunasekhar, Bunny Vasu and Nallamalupu bujji were among those who tied the bell in the cat. Later, many joined and attacked the jury as well as the government. When everybody thought it reached a climax, Lokesh made surprising comments that not only brought embarrassment to the ruling party and the government but also kept the ball rolling for those who opposed the government and jury. But in the midst of such clear situation also YSRCP leaders unable to decide which position to take and made statements contrasting other YSRCP leaders.

Posani, who has been telling in recent interviews that he supports Jagan and campaigns for YSRCP, came forward and attacked the jury as well as government (Read it as Lokesh) despite getting a Nandi award for himself. His stand was clear and one can understand it. Because even though he received award for himself, he got an opportunity to pelt stones on the ruling party and being someone from opposition party, it is quite natural for him to attack.

But later, another YSRC leader Ghattamaneni Adiseshagiri Rao joined in this issue and stated, it is wrong on the part of the leaders and a section of film industry to attribute caste motives to the state government in the announcement of Nandi awards. He even condemned Posani Krishna Murali’s comments that he would return his Nandi award. “This will damage the entire film industry. It is not a healthy trend,” he said.

Then, another to voice on this issue is Ambati Rambabu, YSRCP’s spokes person, who demanded the government to cancel all the Nandi awards announced. His demand is in sync with Posani’s demand regarding the same. He said he was demanding withdrawal of the Nandi awards in the capacity of the party’s official spokesman.

Highlight in this episode is, both Adiseshagiri Rao and Ambati gave these statements from the dais of party office and none of them told it is only their personal opinion. In fact, Ambati reiterated, he is talking in the capacity of party’s official spokesperson. To explain it in the jargon of cricket, YSRCP leaders are not able to utilize even a “free hit ball” and giving the wickets because of the perennial confusion among themselves!!!

Boat accident – YSRCP ruckus impedes rescue operations

0

It is known news that the boat carrying 38 tourists capsized at Ferry Ghat in Vijayawada leading to death of several people. Still some people are missing. The incident that happened yesterday evening left entire state in a tragic mood as the tourists dying in this most unfortunate incident. Initially the local people tried to rescue some of them but later NDRF reached the spot and was part of rescue operations.

However, the Bhavani island was in chaos and tensions as the political leaders from YSRC party, Partha Saradhi and Jogi Ramesh, reached the spot and staged a protest. The leaders from the opposition alleged that the government has failed in providing safety and should be held responsible for the accident.

However, the police who were busy with the rescue operations struggled to handle these protests at that point of time. City police commissioner Gautam Sawang reached the spot and immediately deployed more forces to aid the rescue operations. Sawang said “These protestors (YCP members) are obstructing rescue operations for us, we are unable to move from one location to another freely” . He slammed the protesters of being insensitive.

But YSRCP leaders alleged that police has reached the location very late and until then it was the local people who were trying to rescue the missing people and once police reached the spot, they beaten and pushed away those locals who were doing rescue operations. Soon the location was filled with slogans by cadre who accompanied YSRCP leaders. The accident spot was filled with mourning’s on one side and these protests on other side leaving the location in full chaos.

Posani’s Krishna Murali vying for “Dharmavarapu like” role

0

Posani Krishna Murali support to Jagan’s YSRCP

Posani Krishna Murali, writer turned actor has been busy currently doing various roles in TFI. He contested as MLA from Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam and lost in elections. Recently he has been praising YS Jagan in his interviews and openly expressing his support to Jagan’s YSRCP. By seeing his recent interviews, analysts as well as people started assuming he may contest again as MLA from YSRCP in 2019.

But Posani gave clarity on these rumors. He clearly told that he will not contest in elections. He told he doesn’t have enough money to contest in elections and also he is against to buying votes and he did not spend a penny in 2009 elections when he contested as MLA from PRP. So now, he will only campaign for YSRCP without contesting directly in elections. He also very very clearly told that – if Jagan comes to power and if he asks him to take care of any government organization or institution by giving some kind of nominated post, he will accept the responsibility.

After seeing his clarification as well as aspiration, analysts think he is vying for position similar to what late Dharmavarapu Subramanyam handled. Dharmavarapu was a versatile actor and he supported late YSR and his congress party when almost entire industry supported TDP. But he did not contest as MLA. He never contested in elections. But YSR, after coming to power, recalled his support and offered him the post of Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Cultural Council. He accepted the role and excelled in it and also he strove to work for the betterment of theater artistes in the state when he was in that role. So it seems, Posani also expecting to get some nominated position like this in future if Jagan comes into power.

Only time has an answer, whether Posani’s dream will be fulfilled or not!!!

YSRCP MLA G Srikanth Reddy Comments Over Boycotting Assembly Sessions

0

In a recent development, YSRCP MLA G Srikanth Reddy has passed on his comments over boycotting assembly sessions. He said that instead of the Opposition being blamed for not participating in House proceedings, the Speaker has to upkeep the decorum of the Chair and upkeep parliamentary democracy. He reiterated that unless any action is initiated against the turncoats, they would keep away from the assembly session.

Addressing reporters in Hyderabad, Mr Reddy said, “We affirm that we are not boycotting the assembly sessions and are very much in favour of attending the proceedings but the Speaker should initiate action against the turncoats who moved to treasury benches”.

As the Speaker had time and again said that the legislature is supreme and need not take into consideration the legal rulings, the contention that the matter is in court cannot be accepted. “We need not abide by the court directives and the House is supreme was what he said in many earlier occasions”.

“When our Party MLA RK Roja was suspended and the issue was taken to courts, the same Speaker has ruled that the courts cannot dictate terms to the legislature and the Speaker need not abide by the court directive and to that matter the Speaker’s ruling cannot be challenged in a court of law. When it comes to the action against the 21 MLAs who crossed floor, the same Speaker tells that the matter was in courts and this is not in concord with the high office he is holding as the double standards stands exposed,” he said.

On the grounds of disqualification for switching sides, we moved the court and the Speaker was approached. However, there was no action from his side. We will attend the assembly from tomorrow, if the Speaker initiates action against the defectors.

The ruling party has been accusing us of running away from the assembly. Moreover, the Chief Minister commenting that the state should become like Singapore where there is no Opposition is against the value system of parliamentary democracy, said Mr. Srikanth Reddy.

Since long time, we have been pleading to take action against the defectors. But, no action was taken and one more MLA was added to the list of defectors. And the remarks were not in good taste, when our party delegation when to submit a memorandum.

Exclusive – Divya Reddy’s growing influence in Sakshi and YSRCP

Divya Reddy’s growing influence in Sakshi and YSRCP

YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been working hard to end up victorious in the 2019 elections. However his family dominance turned out to be a huge threat for his party. Divya Bollareddy, a cousin of Jagan’s wife Bharati Reddy turned out to be a reason for many leaving the party. She is an NRI from USA who lived there for 10 years and moved to India. Educated at Illinois Institute of Technology, she worked at Motorola for a decade before moving back to India.

Divya Reddy was appointed as the President of IT Digital for Sakshi group. It was with her dominance, many veterans working in Sakshi called it a quit. Veterans at Sakshi were concerned with lack of journalism experience of Divya Reddy and Point to failure of digital initiatives in English and other languages which were started under her helm.

Now sources informed Telugu360 that YS Jagan appointed her as the IT cell ordinator for NRI department of YSRCP which irked many NRIs. With no option left, many NRIs left their positions with Divya Reddy’s arrival. A NRI who was disillusioned with recent developments lamented – “This is akin to appointing a Reddy as a BC Commission head. How can Jagan appoint a non NRI to this post”? A trend of appointing his relatives has been getting repeated in YSRCP and YS Jagan is yet to realize the consequences. Its high time for the young politician to realize such things and bring some efficient people on board.

YSR Congress seeks President’s intervention in Andhra

0

Andhra Pradesh’s main opposition YSR Congress Party has urged President Ram Nath Kovind to intervene to put an end to what it calls mockery of democracy by the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

In a letter to the President, YSRCP president Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy said the opposition party decided not to attend legislature session till the Assembly Speaker and Council Chairman act on its demand to disqualify 22 legislators who defected from the YSRCP to the TDP.

The party is also demanding that four of the legislators inducted in the cabinet be sacked immediately.

Jaganmohan Reddy wrote that 21 MLAs and one MLC of YSRCP lured into defections to TDP either by offer of ministerial berths or by paying huge cash. He said the party filed several petitions before the Speaker and Chairman to disqualify them but no action was taken.

He said they brought Constitutional violation to the notice of all important Constitutional institutions but nothing happened.

He alleged that TDP was openly indulging in unethical and unconstitutional practice of masterminding defections from the main and only opposition party.

He also complained that proceedings of both the houses of the legislature were being conducted in undemocratic manner to stifle the voice of the opposition.

The YSRCP chief said the opposition was being subjected to intimidation, heckling and use of abusive language in the legislature.

He also alleged that the looting of resources by those in power and mismanagement had pushed the state into an irretrievable debt trap.

YSRCP’s decision to boycott assembly is a grave mistake

0

The YSR Congress Party will be boycotting assembly sessions forever as an act of retaliation against the government, for allowing the defectors to continue without following the due resignation procedure. So not just the upcoming winter sessions but until the next government is elected, YSRCP MLAs will not enter the assembly.

YSRCP wants action against the 4 ministers and 20 MLAs who have switched allegiance to TDP after winning on their party ticket. Even though this sounded like a warning to the government, the TDP will not bow to their demands and take action against turncoats.

This only means that YSRCP is giving TDP a freehand with nobody to question the government on bills and decisions. All Cabinet decisions will have unanimous approvals.

Boycotting assembly is poorly advised decision and a grave mistake. Instead of completely embargoing the assembly, YSRCP as responsible opposition party should attend the sessions at least for a couple of days to question on people’s issues.

YSRCP leaders should adhere to the duty given to them and become voice of people. Jagan has said that he has respect for the constitution but in making this decision he forgot his primary responsibility to fight for people’s problems in the legislature.

YSR Congress Party leader Jagan Mohan Reddy does not see Pawan Kalyan in the race for Chief Minister’s post. This revelation was made in the meeting with the CEOs/editors of electronic media at his Lotus Pond residence as exclusively revealed by Telugu360.

Jagan was asked about Jana Sena chief Kalyan’s role in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. The opposition leader opined that the race for Chief Minister’s post is two-faced battle between Chandrababu Naidu and him. Furthermore, he noted that unconventional elements like Jana Sena will not make much difference to the current scenario.

However, Jagan should understand that with its improved activism Jana Sena’s voter share may go up which will divide the anti-government votes. While Chandrababu may feel the impact less, YSRCP will have to bear the brunt event if he doesn’t foresee multifaceted competition.
