For the second year Peddi Reddy has defeated Narasimha Reddy. This year he won with five vote’s majority. While 460 workers participated in the polls, Peddi Reddy got 196 and Narasimha Reddy secured 191 votes. Four votes were not valid.

Peddi Reddy contested on behalf of TNTUC, while Narasimha Reddy was HMS Union candidate. Former MLA Kuna Srisailam Goud, who contested as INTUC candidate secured 65 votes.

Expressing his pleasure over the success, Peddi Reddy said that this result would be a fitting response those who believes that TDP has disappeared from Telangana. He is the TDP Election Committee Convener for Telangana. Even after 12 of 15 MLAs defected from the party due to ruling party TRS’s attractions and pressures, he claimed that this poll shows cadre at ground level are still with TDP.

He said that they have taken up party membership campaign systematically with voter card number and till now as many 6 lakhs joined the party. The campaign was extended till December 31 due to requests from district conveners, he added.
