As everyone predicted, TDP MLA Meda Mallikarjun Reddy is all set to join YSRCP today. Meanwhile, TDP suspended him from the party on disciplinary grounds.
Meda Venkata Mallikarjuna Reddy won in 2014 from Rajampet constituency on Amaranath Reddy of YSR Congress Party. However, ever since Adi Narayana Reddy defected from YSRCP into TDP and became minister, this leader who won on TDP ticket in Kadapa district seems to be disappointed. In last one year,his name popped up several times in the list of leaders planning to defect into YSRCP. Moreover, recent incidents in which he had altercations with other TDP leaders like Adi Narayana Reddy seems to have expedited his decision. He is saying TDP leaders are planning a conspiracy to defeat him in next elections.
Meanwhile, Chandra babu Naidu suspended him from the party on disciplinary grounds. TDP leaders stated that there is no loss to the party because of his defection.
