Indian cricket team has long been using blue jersey, but in some of the matches during this world cup 2019, team will be seen in saffron Jersey. Details as below.
As per the latest rules adopted by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the teams that is sporting a similar colour jersey to that of their opposition, will have to adopt a different colour kit. For example, in a recent match, South Africa , that usually wears green Jersey, had to go for yellow colour kit as their opponent Bangladesh also was wearing green Jersey. In case of India, it is wearing blue jersey, but during the match with England, India has to opt for other colour as England also using blue jersey. So team India will be using saffron Jersey in that match. But the team will use same blue colour jersey in other matches.
While this news has surprised cricket lovers, political analysts were wondering, “Why saffron” .
