In Tollywood, biopics are all the rage lately with films on legendary actors Savitri and NTR announced recently. There won’t be any surprises if the trend of turning real life stories of iconic stars into movies in the form of biopics continue in the coming days.
Veteran Telugu actor Benerjee, who has more than 300 films to his credit, has expressed his desire to direct a biopic which narrates the inspiring journey of matinee idol Megastar Chiranjeevi. In a recent media interaction, Benerjee hailed Chiranjeevi as one the greatest actors of all time and said that a biopic on his journey to stardom would easily be the most awaited film in Tollywood history.
He suggested that Chiranjeevi himself should oversee the script formalities if a biopic is ever made on him and added that he would definitely come forward to direct the film if he is offered a chance.
Interestingly, Benerjee worked as an assistant director in the initial days of his career.
