Controversial critic Kathi Mahesh gave statement today that he will meet Jagan and join YSRCP soon.
Kathi Mahesh who got fame after attacking Pawan Kalyan and Janasena revealed his political plans that he wants to contest as member of parliament from Chittoor constituency. He also revealed that he is planning to meet Jagan and if he agrees he will join YSRCP soon. It is to be noted that Kathi Mahesh attended dharna staged by YSRCP on the Parliament Street in the month of March.
But it is still doubtful if Jagan will really join him into the party. Because the controversies he rake up – like the recent one in which he made scathing comments on Hindu gods, don’t go well with majority of people and his comments usually draw ire from people. In fact Sakshi TV did not encourage him much when he was attacking Pawan ruthlessly with his baseless allegations even though many other channels were encouraging him. So, he may be more of a liability than an asset to the party. Moreover, Jagan is doing “conventional politics” and getting seat from YSRCP depends on money and muscle power too. So, Kathi Mahesh may be no match to other contenders who are looking for Chittoor MP seat from YSRCP.
Given these two reasons, one –Kathi has no money power, two – Kathi comes with a baggage that will negatively impact any party he joins, Jagan may keep him at bay. This is despite the fact that Kathi has very good knowledge and very good oratory skills, because these positive points are very much overshadowed by the negative image he carries. But if Jagan still joins Kathi Mahesh, he will join the bandwagon of self-goal masters in YSRCP like Roja or Vijaya Sai Reddy.
We have to wait and see what decision Jagan takes.
