TDP Spokesperson Mullapudi Renuka on Tuesday hit back at the opposition YCP leaders, saying that like no other government in the country’s political history, CM Chandrababu Naidu introduced many programmes for the all-round welfare and development of women in the state.
She told a media conference at Praja Vedika that nearly 1 crore women are getting benefits under various programmes and they are going to give a historic victory to Chandrababu Naidu once again.
Ms. Renuka pointed out that the women members of DWCRA groups are now looking at Chandrababu Naidu as their big brother who is giving support for the fulfilment of their overall family needs. Over Rs 9400 cr was spent on the Pasupu Kumkuma to extend financial assistance to 94 lakh women members and they have already received major portion of the amount.
Ms Renuka said that while only Rs 280 cr was allocated for women welfare during the YSR government, the TDP spent Rs 20,000 cr for women loans waiver and enabled women to get loans of over Rs 67,000 cr.
