The Modi is clarifying again and again that the special status to AP is a closed chapter. But the ruling YCP got a resolution passed in the Assembly saying that status is the oxygen for the state. The BJP state leaders have again said that if any party is promising special status, it’s just betraying the people of AP.
Why is CM Jaganmohan Reddy continuing to raise the status issue? Is it not a waste of previous time of the Assembly? Where is the need for repeatedly debating the issue in the house? Analysts say that the YCP is still trying to blame and corner Chandrababu Naidu. Jagan’s game plan is to keep the special status demand alive and blame Naidu for his failure to achieve it during his regime. The BJP has advised the YCP government to focus on development aspects rather than wasting time on impractical promises. BJP AP leaders clarified that there’s no concept of giving special status anywhere in the country now.
