Imagine you are a CEO of a company. The company has illustrious heritage but the current products aren’t doing too well. Some may click but most seem to be failing with the audience. There is no demand for the products.

Now, two options will be in front of the CEO. One is to shut down the company to try and recover some of the investment still remaining. The second option is to increase the quality of products, so that there is demand for them.

But in Tollywood, there will be a third option. That is to create artificial demand for the product, make it look like it is successful, and then sell it off to unsuspecting buyers. One young hero is doing this quite cleverly now.

Since the last few years, this hero and his brother have made disappointing films on their home banner. The situation in the market became so bad that outside producers stopped approaching them for films. To rectify this situation, this hero is calling some struggling producers, and asking them to announce a movie with him. The hero is then proceeding with full payment for the making of the movie.

In essence, the hero is being the shadow producer for his movies, to create the illusion that he is in demand and is being approached by outside producers as well!! Smart scheme we should say, except that it doesn’t pay off always.
