With digital platforms receiving thumping response, Netflix and Amazon too have been investing huge across the Indian markets. They have been acquiring the digital rights of big ticket films for whopping prices and they are joining hands with several filmmakers to produce web series. Now ZEE5 owned by Zee Network too is producing a bunch of web series.
Their first one has been titled Mrs Subbalakshmi and it features Srinivas Avasarala, Manchu Lakshmi in the lead roles. Dongata and Kittu Unnadu Jagratha fame Vamsi is directing Mrs Subbalakshmi.
Amala Akkineni and Brahmaji will be seen in High Priestess that will roll soon and will be out next year. Tamil actress Sunainaa will be seen in a crucial role.
Actors Shashank and Aryan Rajesh are teaming up for a thriller titled Ekkadaki Ee Parugu. This too will be soon released.
All these web series will be produced by Zee Network and will be streaming on ZEE5 soon.
