A Saye Sekhar (born on September 10) is an Indian journalist, columnist, and a political analyst. He works as an author at Firstpost writing a commentary on Political, Business, Lifestyle, Culture and other current and general issues that impact human lives. He was the Chief of Bureau and the Head of Vijayawada editon of The Hindu from where he left in September 2009.
A Saye Sekhar began his career as a journalist in the later part of 1988 as a Trainee Sub-Editor in Eenadu at Hyderabad. He worked in the launch teams of district dailies of the publication which pioneered these supplements. He later moved to Eenadu's sister publication, Newstime, an English daily in 1992, and served there as head of City reporting bureau. He joined Deccan Chronicle as a Senior Political Correspondent in November 1993 and worked there until August 1996.
Saye Sekhar joined The Hindu at Guntur and worked there in different positions for more than six years before he was elevated to the position of Chief of Bureau and Head of Editorial at The Hindu edition in Vijayawada. He later moved to Hyderabad as a Business Editor in The Hindu.
