Andhra Pradesh Minister P. Narayana launched a sharp attack on Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He accused the former Chief Minister of continuing to create confusion even after the capital received legal backing at the national level.
Speaking during his visit to Uddandarayunipalem, the site where Amaravati was first launched, Narayana said the long struggle of farmers has finally paid off. He thanked the Union government for granting legal clarity to the capital and said it has removed all doubts surrounding Amaravati’s future.
Narayana strongly criticized Jagan’s recent remarks, especially the reference to “MaViGun.” He called it an irrational idea and said it reflects an attempt to mislead the public. According to him, even after being reduced politically, there is no change in Jagan’s approach. He pointed out that Jagan still avoids even mentioning the name Amaravati, which he described as a sign of continued hostility toward the capital.
The minister stressed that once a law is passed by Parliament, it must be respected by all states. He made it clear that no incoming leadership can arbitrarily alter such decisions. He asserted that Amaravati is now firmly established and cannot be shifted under any circumstances.
Meanwhile, celebrations are being planned across the state as the bill moves toward approval in the Rajya Sabha. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is expected to visit Uddandarayunipalem to mark the occasion. Leaders from alliance parties and local farmers are set to participate in the event.
Chandrababu Naidu also held a teleconference with NDA leaders and highlighted the significance of the moment. He said the state had suffered for five years without a clear capital and criticized attempts to create fresh confusion. He added that such statements only expose the level of opposition toward Amaravati.
