Post Baahubali, reigning actress Anushka Shetty is looking only for author backed roles. In the last two years, she did only one film, Bhaagamathie. She turned down several big ticket offers opposite star heroes. While everyone expected her to return to glam avatars after the long gap due to her association with Baahubali franchise, she has sprung a suprise by staying off the arch lights.
Reportedly, Anushka is only preferring to portray roles with performance rather than sharing screen space with top stars. It is learnt that she has declined offers beside seasoned stars and decided to act in women centric films only for some time. Currently, she is prepping up for her next film which has Madhavan and few other notable artists in prominent roles.
Sources revealed that she is not in a mood to grab plump offers and pocket hefty remunerations like her peers. Rather, she is looking for meaty roles to continue her presence in South India. So, audience might need to wait longer to see Anushka romance a star hero.
