Anushka did a guest role in ‘Sye Raa’ as megastar Chiranjeevi personally requested her. She played Jhansi Lakshmibai, the first queen who led the Indian Rebellion of 1857. There is a talk that Rajamouli has also planned a parallel role in his ‘RRR’ for her after watching ‘Sye Raa’.
Rumors began gathering strength after Anushka attended the Baahubali Reunion in London last weekend. Rajamouli and Anushka were spotted having discussions over a coffee. Since then social media is abuzz with the speculation that Rajamouli might be planning a guest role for her in this patriotic drama that features NTR and Ram Charan as the lead actors. The film also boasts of the presence of big stars like Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.
But sources close to ‘RRR’ say Rajamouli doesn’t have any role in his mind for Anushka. As of now, she will not be playing any character – small or big or cameo.
Anushka is currently shooting for ‘Nishabdham’. ‘RRR’ will resume its shoot next week in Hyderabad.
