The AP State Election Commission is making arrangements for the MPTC and ZPTC elections in the state. The term of present MPTCs and ZPTCs will be completed in the first week of July.
The EC officials have instructed the Zilla Parishad officers in the districts to make ready the voters’ lists. The voters’ lists of villages in MPTC s limits should be made available at the Mandal offices and the ZPTCs voters lists are made ready at the Zilla Parishad offices.
The government will have to conduct these local body elections because of the court orders. These elections are already held in Telangana where the TRS swept the polls recently. In AP, the ruling YCP is confident of another landslide victory while the TDP is expecting to recover from the losses.
