Both Mega power star Ram Charan and director Sukumar are allegedly infamous for causing unnecessary delays for their films. And, when this duo joined forces for ‘Rangasthalam’, fans were worried about the film’s completion rather than the film’s end result.

The film’s shooting has already been long delayed. After the release of ‘Nannaku Prematho’, Sukumar took more than one year to take Charan’s film onto floors. Even after spending so much time on the pre-production, he still continued to writer scenes during shooting stage, halting planned schedules. The film’s shooting was abruptly halted in May this year for about a month and heat wave in Rajahmundry was cited as the reason.

Even after resuming the shoot sometime in June, the schedules weren’t held as per plan since Sukumar got busy with the promotions of Darsakudu. And,when the director is finally done and dusted with his production venture, Charan got busy with his father’s or his ambitious project, ‘Sye Raa’, the second production venture of Konidela Production Company.

Charan’s last film, ‘Dhruva’ had to face frequent disruptions during production stage as Cherry was then busy overseeing the production of ‘Khaidi No.150’. The same scenario is now repeating and Rangasthalam has become the scapegoat this time.

After witnessing the snail-paced progress and anticipating further delays, Mythri Movie Makers, who are bankrolling ‘Rangasthalam’, had announced the film’s release for Sankranthi, moving it from the initially planned Dasara release. Now, they might be worrying about meeting even Sankranthi deadline!!
