Among the current generation star heroes, Allu Arjun is the one who is yet to prove his potential in overseas market.
No doubt,he carries a very strong box office record at domestic level, which is better than his contemporaries. But, the overseas track record has been an area of concern since a long time for the Stylish star. Surprisingly, his last two films didn’t perform on par in overseas despite having a very strong run in Telugu states.
While his competitors like Mahesh, NTR, Charan have set huge milestones in overseas, Allu Arjun is yet to have a film in $ 1.5 Million club which is very surprising. Also, some of the younger generation stars like Nani, Varun Tej, Vijay Devarakonda have already delivered big hits in overseas.
So, Allu Arjun is due for a big one in overseas. He is now coming up with a patriotic drama Naa Peru Surya which is slated for release this week. As it is helmed by debut director and the genre is not all-embracing, expectations are among overseas trade circuit are little low.
So, the question among trade circles is whether Allu Arjun can break the jinx in overseas with Naa Peru Surya or not ?
We have to wait until May 4th to find out.
